Very pretty build! I think the copper plate compliments the holy panda stems... Also, I relate to you on the Astrolokeys! They were one of the coolest looking caps when I started looking into the hobby... :D
@@m3n9_ I'm really not - no one can explain to me why these keyboards that people are building are missing a whole section. Maybe they can get away with it because they're only doing simple tasks during their work day, but I'd be gutted if I had one of these half-sized little things
For the record north facing LEDs will cause interference with cherry caps if your switch stem sits flush with the top housing when fully bottom’d out. If you have Holy Pandas you don’t need to worry about interference, but say you have Tealios or something you’ll run into interference.
I just made my first keyboard yesterday and I can't thank you enough for the tips I ;got. I'm going to be lubing the switches later this week (also woo! Tactile gang!)
For the 2 of you thinking of getting cherry profile keycaps with this board, it will be fine. As long as you get holy Pandas, they bottom out high to avoid keycap interference
I got my first mechanical keyboard…. nothing anywhere close to the nice keyboards on this channel, not even the “bad” ones, the only thing I could change is the key caps, the stabilisers are not nice, I’m not an expert but I can tell. But is nice and is mine and it was affordable and has a “ñ” key, which I need for work. I love it tho’ and I can only imagine how nice it would be if it was a nicer one, maybe one day, in the meantime, I’ll keep living vicariously through all this videos 😅
I bought this board for my first keyboard build and I think that its not the best out there but its great. As a beginner, I spent loads of time taking my board apart trying to enhance the board overall. The board design made it pretty difficult and long for me to take the board apart as I have to pull the keycaps and switches out to gain access of the plate and PCB and whats underneath it, and i'd have to put them back again, which took a-lot of time. I saw my friend taking his KBD67 apart and it definitely was faster than taking the Carina apart. So if you're a beginner, I would really recommend you to get another keyboard because you'd definitely be taking it apart several amount of times. I do agree with Hipyo: These stabilisers are ridiculously bad. They rattle around crazy even lubed with 205 and dielectric grease. So if you're a beginner, get some other PLATE MOUNT stabilisers like Everglide Pandas or Durock Plate mount stabs, I made this mistake by buying screw ins for this board and wasted 15 dollars. I used the NK cream switches(Broken-in by me for 1 week), went with an aluminium plate and I Tape moded the board and PE Foam moded the top surface of the PCB. The results is a clacky and pretty thocky keyboard. I was really pleased by the results because the switches aren't even fully broken in and lubed. I think that it would sound really nice if I lube the switches up and everything. The lighting/ RGB was excellent. I drilled some holes for the under PCB RGB, It looks absolutely beautiful. However, taking out the board and modding it a few times is pretty troublesome for me, and my freinds KBD sounded really really nice and is much more easy to assemble and everything. So, I really agree with Hipyo here, that if you're a beginner, its really better off for you to get a board like the KBD75, unless you really like the aesthetics of the board.
I would love to see a direct comparison of the aluminium plate compared to the copper one, for science. Those key caps are heckin gorgeous! I love all things star related and rgb
Thanks to me passing by the TV while my partner was watching this video... I said I want those. I now own these keycaps. i love them. ALSO 10key is -required-, you try and enter thousands of numbers a day with that dumb row at the top. XD

We've seen how to lube stabilizers, but do you think we could get an in-depth video on "fine tuning" them?
