This woman is psychotic. Naming your kids like that, forcing them to wear matching outfits, put on makeup, have a skin care routine, tossing designer handbags at them, focusing on "domestic education." She's treating them like life sized Barbie dolls. And I'm pretty sure she's naming her son after Johnny Walker Blue, the scotch, because I highly doubt she was inspired by a 1981 German Eurovision song. Lastly, shaving a pomeranian is cruel. It can seriously mess with the dog's ability to regulate body temp. She cannot be trusted with the care of any living thing.
Some people just don’t deserve to have children. Like imagine being named Bug and Bunny. Also, preventing your children from having an education is just setting them up to failure. Not saying that they will 100% fail but it will be extremely difficult to become a functioning human in society.
Some people don’t deserve to have children like there used to no way they can go to college if they didint even finish elementary school then they probably won’t get a good job so just please at least homeschool them
Travellers in the UK or at least what she’s talking about is COMPLETELY different to people who travel These girls will not have much opportunity to go to uni or school. They will be encouraged to marry at 16 (see My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding) once married they will be stay at home parents living either in caravans (I guess trailer park is the nearest USA equivalent) or a house in a location with other traveller families. FAMILY is everything in the travellers community! The travellers community is a very specific thing here in the UK and Ireland. My huge red flag here is that because mum dropped out at 14 she believes her kids don’t need education either! But dropping out was her choice!
Hey, question, have you heard of Anders Behring Breivik? The norweigan mass murderer? Well, he went to school, had friends and did mainly normal stuffs. YES, depriving kids of social interaction and education is bad for them, but it does not mean they will become evil. Anyone can become a killer, regardless of how they grow up. Just saying.
I Was just thinking this!! The serial killer epidemic is again going to be a thing in next few decades.. internet is ruining childhoods left right & centre
Travellers in the UK are people who live in caravans who stop going to school after primary school, get married as soon as they legally can and have 10 kids. You may have heard them be referenced as “gypsies” which I think may be an offensive term. Most UK travellers are from Ireland like my father was before Southern Ireland paid many families in the 1990’s to live in government housing. The women in traveller homes are the house wives whilst the men usually do manual labour work so it all makes sense why she gets her kids to this. Hope this clears things up.
@@opalyasu7159 I never provided a solution for that I was replying to a whole different comment but usually they could just get an education if no one is stopping them from it
Nepotism is the name of this lady’s game. She knows her kids won’t have the ability to take care of themselves and be truly independent. They’re rich, so she’s prepared to use her connections to keep them successful. Y’all I’m a teacher at a high school in a very affluent neighborhood. This is happening a lot. There’s a growing idea among the rich (and weird) that education-public or otherwise-is for poor people since they’re the ones living without the money and connections to get what they want.
@treytison1444 Which is pretty scary, honestly. She's willing to throw away her children's chance at proper education, and she's raising them to be "domestic" 💀 I don't like these odds.
Setting themselves up to face a wall is what they are doing lol 😂 my kids will be radicalized, educated, and armed. The bourgeoisie is literally fattening themselves for slaughter
In a weird and twisted way they aren’t wrong. I enjoy school(especially once I hit college), but If I were massively wealthy I could easily see myself questioning the reasoning of being in school. There really isn’t any point in going if you don’t mind staying ignorant and dumb and have the wealth to make it through life. With that said It’s still absolutely insane to take your kids out of school and rob them of the opportunity to be educated.
She doesn’t understand that getting them used to luxury goods at a young age makes them MORE susceptible to being bribed with them in the future when she’s not taking care of them and providing the luxury goods for them(I.e. when they aren’t able to afford them themselves)
For those who don't know, "Travelers" is what people are using to mean an Americanized Gyspsy lifestyle. It is common for travelers to focus all their female child's life around becoming a wife and mother. Often there are arranged marriages, second cousin marriages, and young marriages- even child marriages. These people do not represent the traditional Romani lifestyle, nor does it truly pay homage to their culture or history. Marriage for money is also common, as a "bougie" life style is highly encouraged, and often the mothers will instill in their daughters that they need to be bougie housewives with three kids by the time they turn 20. Girls are usually pulled out of school earlier than men in these communities- cuz y'know, the man has to be able to work and provide, but they typically do not graduate high school. More progressive 'traveller' families will allow their daughters to finish high school, but may still marry her off during high school and would typically be supportive of a teenage pregnancy if they are married or engaged. It's disgusting and a terrible way to raise your children. I have no way to confirm if she is from a family like this or not, but it does seem like she's raising them in a similar life style. Edit:: I am not the most educated on the subject of Travelers and Gypsys, so thanks to the commenters who have explained to me that it the word Travelers is used more often to describe Irish/British Isle travelers. I was discussing talking about the americanized appropriation of romani gypsy culture.
Travelers are from Ireland (and British isles) . I don't know if the ones you describe are connected in any way to them, but if, it's still okay to tell where it all came from.
Also, they are treated terribly here by schools and communities, (sadly),so, it's somehow understandable that they often don't end up long in schools just to get discriminated
As a Brit, who was also a teacher, I’m confused how she is able to do this. She isn’t even really homeschooling? I hope her local councils EWO (educational welfare officer) is off for a visit asap Edit- so they’re travellers. Eg gypsy’s and the law protectors them from having to finish their education. Girls are just taught to clean and have babies.
To be honest my mother did this to my youngest sister and no one did anything. No checks were made. She's 21 with no GCSEs and no school friends. I tried to report it but apparently my mum has rights.
Im not trying to be an ignorant American, but I dont understand how laws are in place for travellers and still allowed when they no longer practice their culture of travelling? Like their house is amazing, so its almost as if one ethnic group is allowed different rules? I suppose maybe because they have faced so much prosecution traditionally?
@@jackochilli I have no idea either. The term they use is “settled traveller” and I guess their excuse is finding sites for travellers is harder and harder as no one wants a site built near them (travellers and gypsies have a reputation for theft and burglary so people oppose sites near them) so there are fewer and fewer sites. So more have to go to houses or statics. So assume their argument is “we can’t travel so we have no choice so carry on other traditions”
@@jackochilliFrom my understanding a lot of them don’t practice their traditional lifestyle because they are unable to due to increasing difficulty in finding places to stay where they aren’t moved on. There are bad people in any group, I’ve spent time on sites and met lovely travellers who I would trust with my life, and ones that I never wish to see again. Same can be said for people I’ve met in bars etc.
I feel bad on what their names are. If those are their official names, NO ONE is ever going to take them seriously. Imagine if they ever want to practice law. This woman is insane and her beliefs are asinine.
@@just_a_silly_weenie008 the only name being changed is that little boys, he's now know as Elmer, when they decide to have another kid, they can name them Thud.
@@RaiderGirlChell This is a belated reply, but I really don't think these kids have a chance of practicing law or medicine or anything that requires a higher education, at least not within a reasonable timeframe. Those are professions you need an education to have, and they're being denied an education by their mother. They may someday be able to take courses as an adult, get a GED or diploma, and from there, if they can afford it or get scholarships, maybe they can attend a university. By then they'd be at least in their mid-20s, and so to go to law school etc. they'd be getting a significantly later start in the profession than most people do. That being said, I don't know a lot about the European school systems, so maybe it would be easier for them than I assume, and not as expensive.
Woman, wtf?? Lashes?? How is your first phrase in this situation about something as harmless and mundane as lashes?? Nobody gives a flying F about them lashes!!
She is British so the school system is primary school (pre-school to 5th grade), secondary school (6th to 10th grade), sixth form (10th to 11th grade - optional) England: You can't leave school until you're 16, then you have to go to sixth form/college or start an apprentiship (learning a job) until you're 18. Scotland, Wales and Northen Ireland: You can leave when you turn 16. I genuinely have no idea how she was allowed to make her kids leave because that gets you a criminal record if you take them out for too long.
I was thinking about this. In most countries it’s illegal for students to constantly miss classes and the parent are arrested/charged or whatever. Does her government care?? Do they know they exist?? Maybe she is claiming to “homeschool” them to get away with it..??
This most likely is due to them being Roma, which is what she meant by Travelers. They most likely have found a work around. Either by a cultural exemption, if that is possible, or more likely have figured out a way to fulfill homeschooling/apprenticeship through how the Traveling Roma culture is set up. Of course, her doing this video, if shown to the right authorities, would probably undo whatever exemption she had procured.
I'm from Scotland, and was allowed to leave at 15. This is because my birthday is in September, so there'd be no point in me going to school if I was going to leave after 5 weeks into the new school year lol Also, in England as long as you inform the school/education board you can remove them from school for home schooling
She's a gypsy, her daughters will be sold as teenagers into a marriage with one of their older cousins or uncles. They won't have an education or money to leave, get a job, etc. They won't even know no contact is an option. And they will repeat this with their kids. Been going on for generations.
The sad thing is there’s not much anyone can do about it, especially in a situation like this one. The lady is obviously absurdly wealthy so any legal trouble she could get into about this she will just hire a team of lawyers and nothing will change. Those poor girls are gonna be airhead Barbie’s by the time they get to their teens and have no life skills at this rate
So did Kamala and that ended up with parents in jail for illness Plus if parent wants to homeschool their kid they should be able to do I agree with this woman or anything she does absolutely not but making a law to arrest parents based on truancy or having the government raise your kids it's crazy
BECAUSE IT ISN'T! The school system IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST place for creative children! Children are more likely to abandon their personal identity, morals, and values just to "fit in".
@@rosalynnartis2404 yes but if she isn’t going to homeschool they need to go to public or private school. My brother has home tutors and homeschools he’s 8. ❤
Some parents prioritize their rules over their children's futures, especially regarding education. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow in a structured environment. Education isn't just about academics, it's about developing crucial life skills.
Sure school teaches lots of absurd garbage they’ll never use and has lots of dumb rules and policies, but it also teaches useful things and important social skills that parents can’t teach. Hopefully the police or CPS or whoever’s in charge over there takes care of this before it’s too late.
Here in the UK, the term 'traveling family' is often used to refer to people who live a nomadic lifestyle, either by choice or a lack of money to stay in one place. Even so, this is no excuse for refusing your kids an education. It is law in the UK that kids must be in education until 18, and you get fined a FORTUNE if you don't do that.
@@avathegryffinclaw from how I interpreted the video, saying she doesn't like what they teach in school, I can't imagine that she then teaches her kids what the UK education department requires. Plus, teaching your kids to cook and clean, although actually useful skills to learn, aren't part of the government curriculum.
Well, at least in the USA it's illegal not to be at least homeschooled, I know this from experience.. As an autistic kid who was bullied a lot, I eventually beat up one of my bullies and was kicked out of school, and I was too afraid to go again, since the bullying was in every school I tried to go to. So, after being kicked out, my parents realized they didn't have the resources to homeschool me. They worked, and we didn't have money to hire a tutor and schooling through the computer wasn't an option. So, I ended up not having school, and we lived in fear that the city would notice. Luckily, they didn't, and I turned out far better than I would have if I had continued schooling.. though, I am definitely a special case.
As someone who grew up similarly to this (but without the luxury), I can tell you it sabotages you. Not being allowed to go to school, being taught that college is a stupid waste of money, and not given any education growing up is the reason I am still stuck in a house full of people who grew up alongside me. Do not have kids unless you have the ability to think ahead. Do not have kids unless you can set them up for success. Living in fear of never catching up is no way to live, I can tell you this for certain.
Kids should go to school while they're growing but going to college now a days is similar to a scam. You go into debt being told you'll get a better job cuz you have a degree but that's not true at all. You'll have a harder time finding a job because you'll be either overqualified or not enough experience and if you don't finish college, you still have the debt but nothing to show for it. Education is important but college isn't all that its portrayed to be either.
@@Sebastian-Draegon It does depend partly what you attend college for, but if it's going to set you tens of thousands into debt and you can't get a scholarship or afford it otherwise, in most cases you'd be better off going straight into work or going to a trade school or community college instead. Honestly, some college-educated careers might be just as well off having apprenticeships. That being said, while college isn't really for everybody and while not all jobs ought to require it (even though many do that don't make sense to...), it's still pretty important for many careers. Without going deep into detail, the problem there is that you genuinely need the education for certain careers, but then the jobs available based on your education are either all full, want someone with more experience, or don't pay enough to both live on and pay off the debts incurred by your education. But college shouldn't be reserved for the wealthy only--especially since the wealthy don't even want to take the majority of jobs that college prepares people for. How many trust fund kids taught you when you were in grade school? None, if I had to guess. And how many multimillionaires are also working as microbiologists? Probably not too many. Know any billionaire heirs who trained as dentists? I sure don't. A lot of people don't like it, but eventually due to the costs of attending, the U.S. is going to have to make at least some local or community colleges and trade schools publicly funded by tax dollars. Many nations already do this, though there may be standards such as a minimum GPA enforced to earn admittance and remain a student there until you graduate.
I don't like some things being taught in school and wanted to home school my son but he has autism and I can put my wants aside and admit I can't teach him and do for him all day what the school can. This mom should get a grip!! She's setting her daughters up for failure
To be fair, having kids as your personal pension/social security net, for more income/helping hands in your business or as a souvenir from your husband who's fighting/dying in a war also never been good reasons to have kids. It's just a new dumb reason to have a kids from a new generation.
People usually have kids for the wrong reasons. The most common question I get when I say I don't want kids is "but who'll take care of you when you're old??" which says a lot.
My mom did the same thing when I was in 5th-9th grade and it took me until I was 13 to realize how bad what my mom was doing to me was and 2 more years to get her to put me back into school. These girls definitely don’t fully grasp what’s happening or how much it’s going to affect them later.
I agree. My mom let me drop out of hs and even tho I got homeschooled after because the school I wen to said I was too young to drop out she dint actually homeschool me, just told me to do the work which I don’t do because it’s confusing because you need a teacher which she’s supposed to be but she’s not. And always blames me that I don’t do school work but how can I without a teacher? its not online school it’s literally homeschool but she’s not teaching me like she supposed to and now I’m 18 no job or car hoping to god I get my GED but I’m scared I won’t because I’m not that academically smart and I resent her for teaching me that “school doesn’t matter”
I almost never find anything on the internet that makes me genuinely angry. But I physically feel it in my chest when I think about how these girls basically don’t have their own lives. The “they don’t really have a say in what I’M going to do with THEIR future.” The constant matching, the needing to be perfect for the camera at all times, what a way to kill any kind of authentic relationship with your kids. See who THEY want to be. My own mom is like this on a MUCH much lesser level, and even at THAT I STILL feel some level of anger at how I have to hide parts of myself to please her, how sometimes it feels like she cares more about her vision of me than who I really am. So imagine how THESE kids are gonna feel when they get to a stage in their life when they want to find out who they are, but they can’t because mom would get mad. Moms like this who obsess over making their kids perfect to make themselves look better can’t be surprised when they have no one to care for them in their old age.
Right?! It is so much for me I just sigh and cannot explain. Plus her lips... I am squinting as it might blow a button right off. They are about to burst. Nobody's lips should be that way
My kid is artistic but he wanted to give up drawing because he wasn't good at it immediately. Know what we did? We encouraged him. We let him know the more he practices the better he'll get and now he's taught himself how to animate. He even makes his own animations because we never let him give up. What this woman is doing to her daughters is incredibly harmful. Even she had education until she was 14, how can you prohibit your kids that are that young from getting at least the same education as you? I just don't understand how she thinks it's ok her daughters can't even do basic math or reading. She's just made them easy targets.

There is a bloody good chance she has narcissist personality disorder. As such, she doesn't care. @@Treysen-gj1jqthis is not how the majority of British and Irish gypsies raise their kids. As a British person they move around a lot but they just constantly enroll in different schools and move around a lot
If I had the ability to homeschool, I probably would, BUT: -Having an accurate curriculum is important -I have a problem with HOW schools teach, not WHAT they teach -I'd still be going out of my way to make sure my nonexistent children had access to proper socialization. They'd be on a sports team, or in one of many arts classes, or be coming with their father and me to various clubs that have children attending. They would not be sat on their asses only allowed to do content
I was homeschooled and it’s pretty good.Like I fit in fine because I already had social interaction because I did ballet, soccer and other thing that had me socialize. So I think it’s overall a good idea if your child goes to school when they’re like 14.
🎉 100%. I was homeschooled and was still given an education because my mom not only had a support system with checks and balances from a certified teacher, but also because she worked non-stop to find the best curriculum for each of us.
Traveller has a different meaning here In the UK, it's used to refer to a more nomadic group, who have a very bad reputation here. I knew a woman raised in this culture, and she did try to go to college as an adult, and she suffered. She could barely fucking read at age 40 and thought her daughters were betraying their culture because they got back into education as soon as they could to provide for themselves. The woman would talk about all the terrifying misogyny and abuse in her community but she thought it was totally normal! Heck she was only back in education because she left her abuser and suddenly couldn't support herself!Raising kids like this is so so dangerous! I feel so bad for these kids
7:05 "traveller's" is in reference to the "traveling community" which are much like gypsys which falls perfectly in line with tearing their kids out of school early in order to be housewives... if also explains how blinding moms teeth are... 😎😅
As a tutor of traveller students, it's so disheartening to see how women are treated in this community. Girls are expected to marry early and take care of their husbands and jobs are discouraged. Its so hard to watch as an educator.
I guessed they were travellers before she said it. Everyone should watch "my big fat gypsy wedding" on channel 4 if you're unsure what a traveller is 🥲
@taragabrielle7986 that term is a derogatory one for Romani people, and frankly it's just dumb to act like your opinion on it means anything at all no matter who you claim to have talked to. Take your weird agenda elsewhere
Those kids need to be taken away from this lady. Immediately. This should be considered child abuse because you are intentionally sabotaging your childs life. Like, good for you for making a lot of money without needing school or whatever, but that doesn't mean your children will be the same.
She’d rather teach them about makeup and designer dresses than let them go to school and learn about stuff they’ll desperately need in the outside world if she continues to keep them uneducated
In Germany thats exactly what would happen. There are penalties for stuff Like this. If the parents still dont send their Kids to school they actually get taken away
School is boring yes, but she isn't even homeschooling them properly! They could be in clubs, zoom clubs exist if they travel a lot. I feel awful for them😢
Yeah as soon as she said she pulled em out to teach em how to clean and maintain themselves I was like ummmm…. They’re travelers or gypsies. Then she said they have a traveler background and I was like yeppppppp there it is!!! Lmao. But if it’s in their background and they don’t actively live the lifestyle why continue the same traditions that do nothing but hold women back… it’s sad

That's insane! Denying your kid of having a basic education and giving them names that make them easy to get bullied. These kids clearly show that they want to go to school and meet their friends instead of being at home learning about designer brands and beauty stuff. I'm positive these kids are going to hate their parents in the future for ruining their lives.
I’m currently in a very similar situation so I really relate to this I was taken out of school around 9 or 10 for “homeschooling” because my grandmother (I live with my grandparents) didn’t like the current educational system, all she did was give me these overly religious work books that she wouldn’t even help me with, whenever I would ask for help she’d tell me to look back and read. It didn’t take long for her to give up, I’m 16 turning 17 next month and I’ve spent years pretty much just in my room or doing things she was too lazy to do, (which was most things) I never had the chance to make friends or anything either so I was practically alone until I got onto the internet. Since my grandmother has passed my grandad has tried getting me into the high school but I was rejected, I would’ve had to take a placement test to which ofc I’d be placed in freshman, but I’m too old now, the only thing I can do now is get my GED but it feels impossible because I barely know anything and even then you’re less likely to get into colleges or get jobs with one because a high school education is preferred around here. I truly hope these kids are able to get the education they need, they don’t deserve to have their mom wisk it away from them like this..
Former unschooled person here! There’s a neat subreddit called HomeschoolRecovery, it’s nice seeing a community that’s supportive of scenarios like ours!
I'm very sorry about your situation. Is it possible to study/get your GED online and then possibly your high school diploma? As in online tutoring programs that prep people to sit these exams?
@mystic0screams there's most likely online stuff I could do, I'm not the best at reading but I'd be willing to give it a try, there's also irl prep courses too and my grandad was thinking about putting me into one As for my high-school diploma, I have no idea, I might be able to do it if I get my GED done fast enough though
If it’s not illegal, it sure should be. This woman is completely destroying any possibility her children could have by not allowing them to continue their education. Absolutely disgusting and reprehensible, but that’s just my opinion.
Homeschooled kid here! It's great that they're learning all things homemaking, and I do believe they can make a future out of fashion, but you NEED to broaden their horizons. Just because you like fashion doesn't mean it's their vocation. Teach them the basics they'll need to navigate the world, then show them all the paths open to them.

I know many kids who were unenrolled in traditional school to be homeschooled (my brother and I included). It’s a large process with loads of paperwork and essentially signing off that you are going to be a proper teacher to your children. Legally? I have no clue if this mother is meeting the criteria to be a homeschool parent. Most states in the US (and presumably outside the US) have laws that ensure homeschool parents are providing a “proper” education in the sense of math, science, language, and history. The government, at least where I live, also have the right to request education records from you as the homeschool parent to provide proof they completed their education (ex: worksheets, tests, transcripts from a program, etc. ). She mentioned tutoring, but what are they even being tutored for?
If that was my mom, I probably would have run away. I’m a girl but I hate the housewife lifestyle, it’s just not for me. Instead I took on welding and hands on work. PS. I learned how to weld from school and Im great at it, I absolutely love doing it, and it makes me a lot of money
You don't know that. They could also end up timid, without any opinions or thoughts and being abused&taken advantage of by some abusive asshole. In fact that's very very likely
As a homeschool mum who takes our child's education incredibly seriously (our curriculum is accredited, he attends extra-curriculars and has tested a grade and a half ahead in all subjects,) this is WILD. Of course, our son learns life skills. His *education*, however, is not the same as *life skills*. These are different categories. Children need structure, to be challenged, and most importantly, they must be prepared to go out into the world and help better our world. Neglecting these most vital years - when children are sponges and WANT to learn - is quite sad to see.
*Post note: I have 2 degrees. An English degree - then I returned to college to receive my Early Childhood Education degree. I had a successful career as a copywriter before CHOOSING to be a homeschool mum. Being a homemaker isn't inherently bad! I made the CHOICE, however! These little girls can't do that.
As a former homeschooled child I agree. There is a right way and a wrong way to go about homeschool. I had co-op almost every day. I did college level ASL, went to choir, played on the volleyball team, did drama/theater, took a self defense class, and a bunch of other things. My mom had to turn in stuff to prove I was learning and doing my school including turning in a schedule and curriculum. But I've also seen it done wrong. My mother in-law homeschooled her youngest two in a very non hands on way (purely doing everything through computer) . Both are in their 20s, have not graduated, and are socially stunted. I 100% support homeschooling and also agree what this "mom" is doing is not school, it's controlling. Thank you for your sacrifice and willingness to give your child the education he deserves. Even though being a homeschool parent comes with many challenges and lots of people who think you are "failing" your child.
@@overcomingthat2728 - Bless your parents for doing what was best for their kids! It is heartening to hear from those who've had the experience we've had. My mother-in-law went to college to study architecture. She was a brilliant artist - with some legitimate wind at her back in the Manhattan art scene. She stepped away to pour herself into her children. She continued to paint and sculpt until we lost her a couple of years ago, and she never once second-guessed her decision to choose what she believed was best for her family. She instilled that love for art and beauty in her children. May life be kind to you and your family. And thank you, again, for the encouraging words! 🙏☦️
The problem with home schooling is that children need to interact with other children. Even with problematic ones. If they don’t get to have it how should they survive their adulthood and bullies at work?
@@loisen - As the initial respondent and I stated, both our families are heavily involved in social activities. Perhaps reread the preceeding thread.. The bottom line is that parents have the final say. Not the state. Families are and will remain free to choose the schooling that best suits their convictions as well as their child's needs. My son has high functioning autism. Public school in the states is laughable- especially in regard to assistance for children who are neurodivergent. The social skills of others' children should not cause you sleeplessness. PEW research shows that HS children are statistically MORE adaptable as college freshmen, both socially and academically. Long term case studies also show a higher employment rate among homeschool students upon college completion. Thanks for your thoughts!
Travellers in the U.K. is referring to Gypsys, so they commonly live in caravans and travel round so the children do normally get take out of school once they have completed primary school, so a lot of traditional travellers are illiterate. Her accent doesnt sound like a typical gypsy but this all makes sense to me once she said that, as the females are raised to be housewife/ homemakers. Still crazy but this is common amongst travellers here. You should watch “big fat gypsy wedding”

It’s more concerning that the people from Truly didn’t view this as a major red flag. In other words, Truly is most likely promoting child abuse by not doing anything about this.
But this kinda BS is their bread and butter! Plus as explained above this isn't too uncommon in British traveller communities, although imho totally messed up
Travellers are irish/romani background, they used to be called g*psies. The girls in traveller communities tend to leave education early, I know my classmates who were travellers were taken out at year 6, and then another in year 8. They tend to get married very young (like from 16+ young) and the women tend to become homemakers. At least for travellers in the UK.
This woman makes me so angry as someone who had to come out of school at a similar age to these girls. I missed out on not just learning things like maths and science, but social skills and how to make friends too, it was so isolating and left me feeling frustrated that I couldn't do things other kids could. Is the school system broken? Yes, but that doesn't make attending unimportant, leaving school early can really mess up your life.
How? She doesnt HAVE knowledge. At all. She is a walking piece of wood with make-up on and even the woodpeckers leave her alone cause she's literally rotten to the core.
I've always struggled with learning in school and I have my issues with the educational system but I would not discourage anyone from going to school. It's NECESSARY. Just because she could make do without it doesn't mean her kids would. Her kids have different lives of their own. The level of control she exerts is sickening. My own dad is similar though not half as controlling as she is, but it's incredibly stifling. Those kids are gonna be rebellious when they grow up. It's so upsetting that they don't have the opportunity to explore themselves and find out what their interests are. Some people should not be parents.
7:00 _”Travelers”_ is the name adopted by the Romani Gypsy community. They tend to get married *VERY* young and really adhere to traditional gender roles (woman leaves school early, stays home, keeps house, and has babies while the men are expected to provide 100% of income.)
i haven't finished this video yet but oh god, this stuff makes me so mad. i've been homeschooled my entire life (so some form of education at least, i can't imagine the lack thereof) and i'm an incredibly stupid person, socially inept, i don't even need an entire hand to count the amount of friends i've had in the real world. and i have a really BAD homeschool system, my parents don't even gaf enough to try and help me. i'd honestly consider it some form of abuse/neglect. but this. this is somehow worse? like it's worse??? how did this woman manage to get worse?????
Because you are self-aware, you are way ahead of this woman and her kids, you can learn anything on the internet now AND you can make your own friends if you work hard it it. Keep your chin up!
@@lindaflow5434 i think homeschooling is legal here because the implication is that you ARE actually educating your children (and there are homeschool communities for children near me,) which is terrible because you can just say you're schooling your kids and i don't think they'll make you prove it. technically i'm not completely without education, but it's always just been this website made by some woman. it's texts on a screen with a bunch of links. i have ADHD. my mom stopped helping me after first grade, she just told me "do your schoolwork" and expected me to do it myself. i tried, but again, i don't know what you can expect from an eight-year-old with ADHD. i recently talked about this with my mom and she did agree she messed up and wished she helped me more but that is still serious irrepairable damage done to me that will never, ever go away.
This reminds me of the stories I’ve heard of women hampering their daughters’ development by telling them, “You don’t need to get an education/learn skills! You just need to look pretty and land a rich man who will take care of you!” They honestly think their daughters will land some multimillionaire and the whole family will be set for the rest of their lives. First off, any wealthy person worth their salt learns to spot gold diggers and actively avoids them. Second, even if they do get a sugar daddy, what’s to stop said sugar daddy from dropping them when someone hotter comes along and using their lawyers to ensure they only get scraps in the settlement? There are also stories of fathers hampering their sons’ development by telling them, “You don’t need to get an education/skills! You’ll work at the plant like your old man!” Then the plant closes and suddenly they and many others are left with nothing.
i agree but wealthy people absolutely do not care if a woman is a gold digger lmao. the term "trophy wife" exists because rich men are almost always shallow, just wanting a beautiful armpiece
@@realRatRat The thing is what’s going to happen to that beautiful arm piece when a more beautiful one comes along? Being a trophy wife isn’t the path to lifelong wealth and security these delusional parents think it is.

I used to work with a woman in retail, who dropped out of the 9th grade. She can't get any job because every company requires a high school diploma. She tried to get one but wasn't smart enough to pass the exam. She hates the job, but it was the only one that would hire her without a diploma. (They also changed the rules, so now you need one, but she got employed before that rule was set) These girls will end up stuck, just like her.
i'm 15 and I still struggle with a lot of things and I know I have problems so when I hear About someone ripping school from they're kids life it irritates me so much that she just leaving them off at the "basics" school is helping your kids start in life which is helping them with getting job and social skills and knowing more then the average person, controlling someone's life as when they are young or born is just ticket for your kid to be entitled to everything then leave them to be unwanted. I understand life styles and even a little religion or whatever school is still important for people to make a living even if you like it or not.
this is the kind of parent that says disgusting things like "my children changed when they turned 10 and they dont like me anymore" because they stopped being interested in the things their mom likes and started having their own personalities and so their mom cant control them anymore. she really wants to be kim kardashian
Can't belive she pulled them out of education and they haven't even been in secondary school yet. Just because the mum got successful without a proper education doesn't mean her whole family can acomplish the same feat
Definitely a control thing, just like August explained, but I think she also has a weird hang-up about her children becoming smarter & more advanced than her. She also picks out what they wear, & I hate that she makes them match. For someone who claims that school is a "box," she sure strips options, individuality, & freedom of expression away from them.
Hello August . Travellers have been recognised as an ethnic group. There are a lot Gypsy , Roma and Irish Travellers in the UK - Roma Gypsies are originally from northern India, whereas Travellers are of Irish origin (both groups are nomadic groups)
Travellers are nomadic people from Ireland and the British Isles. Like Romani people in mainland Europe. That really is the missing part of the puzzle here actually. Those cultures prioritize family and practical skills over formal education, particularly education by a state that is fundamentally hostile to their way of life.
this! i don’t think it’s great they get pulled from school but it’s important to know that a traveller family is not just a family that goes on holidays often
It all came together when she said they’re travelers. That doesn’t mean they travel. You should react to some of the old “gypsy wedding” shows. Those girls are taken out of school when they’re like 10, taught to clean, and married off when they’re 16
The problem with taking your kids out of school and expecting them to rely on someone else’s income is such a risk. What if they get in a toxic relationship and they can’t leave because they can’t get a job? What if they end up finding no one and living on the streets? It’s such a risk and your kids could easily end up in horrible situations. This woman is cruel and doesn’t understand how this is going to impact them. Also, if this doesn’t make sense, that’s my bad. It’s almost 2AM and I can’t stop watching his videos.
Pulling kids out of school? Okay, I get that. I'm personally also not a fan of public schools these days. Replacing their education with handbags and vacuuming, eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhwhat?
@@Brendan2-zn9dfthis video is enough evidence to show that they aren’t and an interview with the girls would immediately destroy her claim if she did try to make it
I was homeschooled, but not at all like this 🤦 my mother was a retired nuclear physicist for the naval nuclear power corps and she was hugely strict on academics. I have 5 siblings and we were all in college at 15, all college graduates. Homeschooling is just a format, lots of people do fantastic with it and lots of people just say they're homeschooling and don't actually do anything. I grew up around both. Also, you can teach your kids domestic duties while they also learn basic academics, they're not mutually exclusive 😂
As a home school child, my mother pulled me out because the school kept deeming me as "mentally challenged" because I have adhd. She was furious, so she's homeschooled me to help me get better at more practical things (practical math and science esc). I'm not good and english, and I'm great at art. I understand where this woman is coming from but she's doing it horribly, I mean the school system hasn't changed for decades, its not up to date and isn't really teaching kids things that they'll actually find useful.
I know but she isnt teaching them anything like ur mother did, they go on their phones all day and have no social interaction and shes using her children to get famous.
I totally agree that the school system is a wreck especially for neurodivergent/disabled children, however I agree children still need some type of a formal education
The history classes are especially flawed IMO. Like they'd rather teach us about World War 2 for the 80th time instead of other atrocities and how we can learn from them/be thankful that we're not in those situations
The traveller community here in the UK are notorious for pulling their kids out of school at very early ages. This, unfortunately, is not a unique situation.
I think there was a family from Wife Swap that was like that. They never drank water. My ex's sisters were like that too. They drank Pepsi 24/7. No teeth.
Oh! And I just saw a video of another woman that doesn't make her kids bathe. She says maybe once a week but not that they have a pool it's probably less than that. So nasty.
At first I thought she was going to say she pulled them out of school but homeschooled them, which is different but okay, they're still getting an education. Nope, they just get to not do anything all day and not learn anything. "Why does she need to learn more maths"...because maybe she needs extra help? At that age they're learning adding/subtracting/dividing/multiplying larger numbers. It's almost irritating the brother is in on it too and cut off their mom when she tried to be the voice of reason
Exactly!!! People literally buy them FOR their fur!!! Who shaves a Pomeranian

She's just trying to get them with old rich guys like she did.
Dang so in the future poor ppl will be smarter than the rich. CRAAZY
Isn't what she is doing illegal in y'all country.
Oh you mean like Romani
Oh. That makes sense. I knew I couldn't stand her for a reason. 😂
As a Brit, who was also a teacher, I’m confused how she is able to do this. She isn’t even really homeschooling? I hope her local councils EWO (educational welfare officer) is off for a visit asap
Edit- so they’re travellers. Eg gypsy’s and the law protectors them from having to finish their education. Girls are just taught to clean and have babies.

They may someday be able to take courses as an adult, get a GED or diploma, and from there, if they can afford it or get scholarships, maybe they can attend a university. By then they'd be at least in their mid-20s, and so to go to law school etc. they'd be getting a significantly later start in the profession than most people do.

She probably says she's home schooling them to the authorities and then does absolutely nothing educational with them...
This most likely is due to them being Roma, which is what she meant by Travelers. They most likely have found a work around. Of course, her doing this video, if shown to the right authorities, would probably undo whatever exemption she had procured.

Its actually until 16 since some people choose to get a job or apprenticeship when they get their GCSES instead of going into A levels or college

This should qualify as educational neglect. If she were poor or a POC she would've had her kids taken away, CRAZY
Me too
@@Sebastian-Draegon It does depend partly what you attend college for, but if it's going to set you tens of thousands into debt and you can't get a scholarship or afford it otherwise, in most cases you'd be better off going straight into work or going to a trade school or community college instead.
College is indeed mostly a waste of money.

Every child deserves a parent, but not every parent deserves children. Especially one who names them Bug and bunny
Facts
True
I swear people these days only have kids for the wrong reasons
To be fair, having kids as your personal pension/social security net, for more income/helping hands in your business or as a souvenir from your husband who's fighting/dying in a war also never been good reasons to have kids. It's just a new dumb reason to have a kids from a new generation.
They were having them for the wrong reasons in the Past too tho
tell me 1 reason that people DO have children
That plastic surgery golem needs to sue her surgeon. It's not an intrinsic trait she chose to look like she had a stroke and a massive underbite.
Moms like this who obsess over making their kids perfect to make themselves look better can’t be surprised when they have no one to care for them in their old age.
yep. Her kids will not feel safe to share how they actually feel.
And then they're like "why won't my kids talk to me 😢😢"
Smh. Thx for sharing, narc mums suck ❌

You shouldn't treat your animals like this neither imo 😂
My kid is artistic but he wanted to give up drawing because he wasn't good at it immediately. Know what we did? We encouraged him. We let him know the more he practices the better he'll get and now he's taught himself how to animate. He even makes his own animations because we never let him give up.
What this woman is doing to her daughters is incredibly harmful. Even she had education until she was 14, how can you prohibit your kids that are that young from getting at least the same education as you? I just don't understand how she thinks it's ok her daughters can't even do basic math or reading. She's just made them easy targets.

That poor baby who misses her friends. If that woman knew how she sounds, then she wouldn’t have given this interview.
There is a bloody good chance she has narcissist personality disorder. As such, she doesn't care. She says those children should go down their own path, but she's also saying she decides on their education and what they should dream for the future. I think it's pretty save to say, there isn't much off a chance she'll realise how delusional she is. :|
She thinks this makes her look good as a parent so of course she did it. And she said she didn’t care if people criticize her for it. It’s good not to let hate get to you but if you ignore it completely than you continue pissing people off because you don’t stop when they tell you what your doing is wrong. Because this mom was pulled from school and probably missed out an important social skills. So she genuinely thinks what she is doing is right. Nothing personal against Irish or British gypsies but they should revisit the way they raise their kids. And to think this has been going on for generations.
@@Treysen-gj1jqthis is not how the majority of British and Irish gypsies raise their kids. As a British person they move around a lot but they just constantly enroll in different schools and move around a lot
If I had the ability to homeschool, I probably would, BUT:
-Having an accurate curriculum is important
-I have a problem with HOW schools teach, not WHAT they teach
-I'd still be going out of my way to make sure my nonexistent children had access to proper socialization.
I didn't see any home schooling going on here.
Same meaning here in the USA. I think August just didn't make the connection.
5:48 "they kind of work around me" oooooohhhh so child labor, got it
7:05 "traveller's" is in reference to the "traveling community" which are much like gypsys which falls perfectly in line with tearing their kids out of school early in order to be housewives... if also explains how blinding moms teeth are...

I'm positive these kids are going to hate their parents in the future for ruining their lives.
I’m currently in a very similar situation so I really relate to this
I was taken out of school around 9 or 10 for “homeschooling” because my grandmother (I live with my grandparents) didn’t like the current educational system, all she did was give me these overly religious work books that she wouldn’t even help me with, whenever I would ask for help she’d tell me to look back and read.

@mystic0screams there's most likely online stuff I could do, I'm not the best at reading but I'd be willing to give it a try, there's also irl prep courses too and my grandad was thinking about putting me into one

I agree, but she did mention that she does school work or lessons outside of just the dolling up and house cleaning. I would Wan watch this whole thing without commentary to see if she actually homeschools
@@WOLFIExBABYxSAMMIEshe mentioned "education" but she said she didn't have the GCESE which means she's not looking for them to have minimum education standards

My husband came from a family of six kids, and his mother homeschooled all of them. They are the brightest, most eloquent, stable adults I've met.

Pulling kids out of school? Okay, I get that. I'm personally also not a fan of public schools these days. Replacing their education with handbags and vacuuming, eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhhwhat?
Also by "travelers," she means gypsies.
This is disgusting. How do people think this is okay?
pretty sure this is illegal
All they care about is themselves and their internet clout.
I'm pretty sure not sending them to school is illegal
The worst part about that is all they have to say is they are Home schooled to the authorities and no questions are asked
@@blitz902don’t they have to do tests? By some other person of education and make sure the parent isn’t their?
@@9izex As of 2022 they do not have to pass a test
@@Brendan2-zn9dfthis video is enough evidence to show that they aren’t and an interview with the girls would immediately destroy her claim if she did try to make it
@@blitz902…she would, if she didn’t make a video showing that she isn’t abiding by any requirements
11:33 She probably panicked because the kids were already starting to become smarter than that
I just started watching this and I accidentally yelled “PLASTIC” whoops..

not only is it bad for a child’s education to be taken out of school, but it also impacts their social skills and can make them more isolated
“To be an educated person, you need to know more than you require.”
@@Nik0__ I know, that's why I said she's doing it horribly, she's setting them up for a standard they might never meet not setting them up for life.
I totally agree that the school system is a wreck especially for neurodivergent/disabled children, however I agree children still need some type of a formal education
The history classes are especially flawed IMO. Like they'd rather teach us about World War 2 for the 80th time instead of other atrocities and how we can learn from them/be thankful that we're not in those situations

removing your children from education should be ILLEGAL :/
unless its a serious reason like mental health or an incident.
It is in the UK, I wouldn't be surprised if she will end up in prison especially if the authorities see this video...
in most civilized countries it’s illegal…in the UK it definitely is: she’s outright admitting to breaking the law here
@@DJ_Sycotticsocial services better be made aware and check on the girls but given their wealth she likely has them in her pocket 🙄
In Greece she would end up in prison and she would lose her kids custody
9:03 her will is like, medieval, “my inheritance goes to my eldest married daughter
The traveller community here in the UK are notorious for pulling their kids out of school at very early ages. This, unfortunately, is not a unique situation.
So she's teaching them to be
- materialistic
- against getting an education
- dependent
People are so weird these days. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a woman refusing to let her son drink water because it tastes like nothing
So nasty.
"reality is often disappointing"
- the big purple guy
The big purple guy was a better parent. They have in common sacrificing their kids for shiny rocks.
“WE LIVE IN AN ACTUAL NIGHTMARE!” Red Guy, DHMIS
I feel like this parent is the type of person who if you ask them what the biggest planet in the solar system is, they would say the moon.
Johnny Blue is a brand of Porta potties.
😂
So where is CPS cuz this is low key abuse. She is going to wreck their future
Just wanted to mention, usually in the UK, "travellers" would refer to gypsy/roma people
11:28 Of course, she ended up fairly good even if she dropped out at 14. Her mother probably gave her competent homeschooling.
She had kids to have a constant audience. 😬
This woman is the reason there's a difference between impact and influence
4:15 There's this wonderful thing called... Homeschool!?
