I remember I started watching Dhar Mann a few years back and I honestly really loved his old videos. They really felt like he was genuinely trying to teach real life-lessons. Some even made me cry. Then some stories had become repetitive but just with different actors but same old formula which I didn't mind too much because at least they were still tackling serious issues. Then the stories started to become more silly and childish while others were incredibly cringe, cliche, and unrealistic which was slowly diminishing my interest in Dhar Mann and saw that he was just pulling things out of his ass at that point and was just trying buy subscribers. Then when Pewdiepie criticized one of his videos and he in return made a whole sketch video about him just being a hater made him completely fall out of my grace. He even went to edit out all the context of Pewdiepie's reaction video just to put him in a bad light. That's when I realized that his whole "humble, kindhearted, giving" he portrays himself to be in his videos is nothing more than a facade.

Not to mention some really confused morals. In one of his videos a teacher joined in a gym class volleyball game and one of the kids on the opposite team he was on was obviously not happy. Like why wasn’t the teacher teaching and why did the gym teacher let him join so late in the game? In another video there was a spoiled rich girl who was using her dads money and influence to win a school fundraiser. That’s a bit of an unfair advantage, a contest like that should be fair to everyone not impossible. That same girl was also very condescending to one of the students and shaming him for being poor. Which was why he started cheating in the first place. But he was the one getting the lesson while she was presented as the victim and the victim only. If you ask me she needed a lesson in being humble, but at the end of the video she learned nothing and almost won. Thankfully she didn’t but still.

If someone knows more about these old businesses and why they didn't work out, I would greatly appreciate it just so we all know who or what we are dealing with here. Honestly this doesn't surprise me. Dhar always came off as shady to me and I've always been contentious with Dhar Mann's content with how unrealistic and contrived the scenarios are to the point the scripts would even be considered as a lukewarm teen sitcom episode on Disney Channel/Nick. Hell, a lot of his newer content can have downright mean-spirited endings, and it always tends to happen with kid/teen characters. The antagonists in Dhar Mann videos usually tend to be the ones you root for the most, despite their cartoon villain prescience because a lot of the protagonists tend to be hypocritical or use measures that are no better. Minus a few exceptions like Colin whenever he plays a good-natured guy. Colin even played in a couple of episodes of Better Call Saul. However, the actors themselves were always the single most redeemable part about Dhar's videos, alongside the production value. If they weren't as good as they were playing the scenarios, they do his channel would be more widely criticized for being a channel for bad scripts and questionable morals. It's also a shame because quite a few of those actors I quite liked, with Mair Mulroney being my favorite of the bunch. Watching his videos and knowing how he treats them, it's clear he doesn't care about them, he just cares they make him money. What is more heartbreaking about this situation is that all of those actors clearly love making content for Dhar, you can tell by their demeanor and tone they love doing videos and have a clear passion for wanting to continue working for him. You can't have a production or content without actor's period! The other thing is how these actors are tied to Dhar Mann's brand as a whole, people know these guys as Dhar Mann actors. It's even more disgusting when you hear that his mistreatment even extends to the kid actors, considering his two most recurring and recognizable actors play the most recurring characters in Mikey and Jay that's just UGH! Now I want a top 10 worst Dhar videos list. LOL
It's also worth noting, one of the Dhar Mann actors Carlos Chavez announced on Instagram that he quit. And he was one of the longer lasting actors. It also basically shades the fact that a lot of those actors in protest haven't been seen in Dhar videos for some time or are used very sporadically. This now explains why. I found his older content okay, if he didn't try to advertise them as some goal to make the world better, they could've just been simple stories with a moral. Bottomline, I stand with all of the actors here. They are THE reason Dhar Mann's videos have any personality! What is funnier to me is that Dhar's response to this whole situation was to go on a trip to Aspen. This sounds like the plot in one of his videos, the antagonists get exposed and tries to hide from their karma by taking a trip as a "lalalalalala" response, only for things to end badly for them. It's like Dhar is now living in one of his videos and the irony is funny! This situation is very funny in that it's basically similar to the Ellen scandal.

As long as he sticks to the contracts that were originally agreed upon by both him, and each actor, he's not actually doing anything wrong when it comes to how much he's paying them. If these actors feel they deserve more, they should have fought for that in their contracts. That's the entire point of the contract. You agree to either be paid out a certain percentage of the revenue you're bringing in, or you're paid a wage based off hours worked, or every job you do. That amount is then set in stone for the duration of the contract. You don't get to then turn around, and act like you're a victim who's being screwed over, after you agreed to that amount in the contract that you literally signed. If the actors have an issue with what they're being paid, they should have said so at the time of signing the contract, but they clearly didn't do that. Now they either have to wait until their contracts are up, and then they can fight for a raise in wages for the duration of their new contract, or they can come to some agreement to either amend, or just flat out terminate their current contracts early. So, these actors acting like they didn't agree to the pay they're currently complaining about seems a little bit dishonest and manipulative to me. It's not like they didn't know how much they would be paid before hand. They knew, and they agreed to it.
Moving on from that, if he is supposed to be paying a percentage of revenue, and he is either refusing to pay the full amount, or he is attemting to manipulate the figures so he can pay less, or if he is just not paying them the correct hourly, or per job wages they agreed to, and are rightfully owed, he is in breach of those contracts, and the actors have a few ways of going about fixing the situation. The first way, which they've already tried, is to attempt to arrange a meeting with him to rectify the situation, which he's clearly not interested in doing, for some reason. So, the next best way would be to report him to the labor board, and see if they can rectify the situation, which they very likely could do. If both of those don't work, however, the next step is to hire a lawyer (which they should have had at the time of signing their contracts anyway) and file a lawsuit against him, which they would obviously win, and not only will they be paid any back wages they are owed, they will also be paid out for any damages they incurred, plus any court costs and lawyer fees they had to pay to file the suit to begin with. So, they don't really actually need to meet with him at all to fix this anyway. Especially if he is ignoring their requests for a face to face meeting. If he wants to do things the hard way, then let him. He can pay a ton of fines on top of everything he already owes them, thereby loosing way more money than he would have had he just done things the honest way. They gave him a chance to handle things a better way, and he threw it back in their faces like a coward. They have nothing to feel guilty about.
And finally, when it comes to the 1099s, if the IRS finds out that he's not providing those by the deadline, they can, and will happily make his life a living nightmare. Never mess with the IRS, that's one of the dumbest things you can ever do.

I just saw a video of one of his actors saying the opposite of what this guy is saying. Here is a possible life lesson: things are not always what they seem to be, and get both sides to a story. My mother used to often say there are two sides to every story.
