My mother always eats tons of oranges and apples, and yet had bleeding gums. The dentist told her to take vitamin C supplements and the bleeding gums were gone...if she stops taking it, they start bleeding again. It seems allmost like fruits lost their nutritional value..

Most fruits you buy in a store for sure did lose their nutritional value. An apple can be stored for years and looks perfectly fresh when stored under the right circumstances (humidity, temperature and so on). Would recommend to only go for organic and fresh fruits from the farmer nearby or even grow your own, if possible anyhow.

Yes I think our food has lost a lot of nutritional value - poor soil and chemical sprays and picked before it’s time.

    Excerpts:
Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms:
    • Bleeding gums
    • Fatigue
    • Loss of collagen
    • Lowered immune system
    • Increased risk of biofilms
Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work.
When you're deficient in vitamin C your body will allocate the vitamin C you have to the essential enzymes, but not all of them.
A complete lack of vitamin C is fatal.
Lesser-known symptoms of vitamin C deficiency:
    • Hypochondria
    • Depression
    • Perifollicular hyperkeratosis
    • Anemia
    • Dry hair
    • Inflamed veins
    • Shortness of breath
    • Problems with adrenaline
The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables.
Juice, like apple juice, is not a good source of vitamin C. They have too much sugar and is pasteurized, which destroys natural vitamin C.
    Foods rich in vitamin C:
    • Berries
    • Peppers
    • Sauerkraut
    • Leafy greens
    Thank you Dr Berg!!🐱👍🏿

I can totally attest to this... Moreover, I was taking up to 6000 MG OF "VITAMIN C" in the form of ascorbic acid and I had loose teeth, gum problems, fatigue and a BUNCH of other issues. After I saw the video he links at the end of this video, I changed over to food based vitamin C with about 500 -1000 mg of ascorbic to help supplement. In about a month my bleeding gums, loose teeth, fatigue and all the other issues went away. Vitamin C is much more complex than just "ascorbic acid". So THANKS DR BERG for saving my teeth and my health! 👏

I'm pretty sure I've had a minor Vitamin C deficiency for years. Though I would regularly consume at least a lemon per day, they were usually small ones and their vitamin C content is pretty average. This year I started eating golden kiwi regularly for my Vitamin C, and I honestly have to say they are amazing. Besides the fact that they're tasty and have a ton of Vitamin C, I think they are better for digestive health than anything I've ever tried before. I highly recommend them to anyone not on keto.

To be honest I was shocked and amazed, it also have antioxidants.
(Always make sure its certified organic)

One year and 6 months ago I began with apple cider vinegar and lemon every morning and then Keto diet with intermittent fasting about once a week 24 hours, then 48 hours and 72 hours occasionally. This I did for 6 months and I lost almost 70 lb. One year later no regain of weight and fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue seems to have disappeared. Also stopped losing hair, I am a female. I've also been doing cruciferous vegetables and generally following your videos. I Hashimoto's is also gone. @@shenaazarbee389 they don't really have too many meds for fibro or chronic fatigue except Zanaflex and Gabapentin. As for the Hashimoto's nothing worked. Plus after a while, though the symptoms remained the test started coming in negative. My first thyroid issue was discovered as hypothyroidism when I was 14 which was in the 1960s. Was so difficult to keep weight down and by the time I was 18 everything was way out of control. My mother's doctor ordered one shot of estrogen and one shot of progesterone. I do not know dosage. My thyroid went to normal and stayed that way for over 30 years. I believe Dr Berg mentioned something about hormones and the thyroid in one of his videos. I've never discovered anyone else linking those hormones with hypothyroidism and he indicated 90% hypothyroids are truly Hashimoto's. The Chronic fatigue was unbelievably debilitating. Just going to the doctor would cause me to zone out for the rest of the day. And there were times when for no discernible reason I would begin to fall asleep and to my dinner plate. I only eat usually once a day sometimes twice. I am not doing Keto as much as it is difficult since I do not cook anymore for the most part. It seems that my system was really cleaned out. I hope this helps.

Vit c is stored in adrenals and is required for the healthy function of adrenal cortex and medulla which is inner and outer part of adrenal gland. It is a helper nutrient for catecholamines- which are the neurotransmitters inside the adrenals ( like serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline and adrenaline).
It is a co- factor for steroid hormones out of the gland like cortisol, aldosterone, androgens.
Progestrone is a pre hormone and it helps in making cortisol so adrenal gland makes progestrone too apart from ovaries.
Vit c helps with adrenals that's why you have high levels of progestrone .
I have vit c deficiency and have very low levels of progestrone and my adrenals are burned up and i have severe adrenal fatigue.

Thank you so much, Dr. Berg, for sharing your knowledge. I love the way you explain everything. You are a real doctor that knows about cures, not like most doctors who only know medicine. I respect surgeons. I have problems, and I am sleeping 45 minutes at night, and since October, they haven’t found what’s going on with my sore throat. They say it is acid reflux, but I am pretty sure I have something viral or bacterial they spent eight years in medicine for nothing very disappointing. God bless you and protect you.

Dr Berg.... At night my hands and feet have been cold in the past, but in the last couple weeks after taking your Vit C complex I'm waking up at night warm and sweaty. This is much better than being cold all the time in cool/cold weather. This is great. Is this expected with taking the real Vit C as in the past I was taking regular Ascorbic acid? Has anyone else have this type of experience? Is it due to increase circulation?

I've never had my vitamin c checked from any doctors until 2 years ago when my thyroid doctor decided to check it and my results came back saying that my vitamin c was at a zero from where I didnt have any. I was severely deficient and didnt know it. I always drunk orange juice but apparently it wasnt enough so he had put me on a supplement to take for a while. Sadly I havent had it taken since then. So I'm not sure what my level is at this point.
