Just saw this video as an ad in my sidebar. Watched it and immediately subbed. I’ve always found concept videos like this to be more helpful than learning specific techniques. Great tip man, looking forward to trying it!
Gonna' try this asap. Will come back to report. I like simple, broad-scope movement like this. Because I can remember them more easily and the idea is conceptual, not too specific so that I have to memorize a bunch of things.
Unless you're playing Rickson, Royler, Rafa, Bruno, Leo, Rodolfo, Keenan, or Andre, then there's nothing you can do unless your last name is Terra, Mia, Miao or Cornelius.
romain gaucho Try it anyways. He will have to use his strength to avert the technique regardless.. making somebody work while you’re on bottom is always a good thing
True, but chances are you can apply enough force to his head to 1) keep it from getting to the opposite side of his hips 2) force him to have to address what you’re doing, so you can effectively scoot your hips to create the space you need. Similar concept as using your forearms to frame against opponent’s face and hips to create space when you’re on bottom side control.
Nick Angeloni I like how it’s super basic it’s just I seen the add and thought it might be click bait but it’s very useful there’s a lot of fake bjj lessons out there

Boa posicao... Vou por na pratica. Oss
Wouldn't this make it easier for the attacker to go for the underhook?
@@prismjiujitsu Thanks for the detailed reply!
@@prismjiujitsu after a second thought, It seems like an underhook might actually make him more vulnerable to an omoplata.
Nice i nver pulled their head down
