@@earl0520 no just make a soil drench and treat with 20 gallons water in 5 gallon buckets mixed with imacloprid systemic treatment yearly or 2x a year depending on how bad your trees are. You buy it off Amazon for 35.00 comes in 4 1.6oz packets. Dony buy from hardware stores as that stuff is diluted down too much. The WSP brand is what i use. Works like magic saved my 50 year old oak trees and crepe myrtles. Tree company's wanted $600 per tree treatment. Lol
NEVER fertilize a tree or shrub that is stressed. This is awful advice and surprising coming from a "certified" arborist. In most cases you will have to use horticultural oils to treat scale insects. This can vary greatly depending on the type of scale, though.
