I thought I had fire blight on my apple tree, but I now see new growth coming out of the supposedly infected branches. Could it just be frosty damage? I first noticed the damage shortly after a frost. Can new growth grow from an infected branch?
Hi. I planted a "baby" pear tree last year and it seemed to have been doing well till a few weeks ago. The leaves started getting black spots but even stranger are the leaves at the ends of the branches. They are curly, orangey-rusty in colour with black spots on them. I'd say that most of the leaves on this poor pear tree have spots on them. How can I help this tree. If one of the solutions is to prune the branches with the diseased leaves, wouldn't I be stopping the growth in height of the tree if I had to prune the top of the tree? Thanks for hearing me out
My pear tree might be beyond saving :-( I thought maybe it was just a drought thing. I dont think early sept is a good time to prune but it looks like im gonna have to. I wonder if its safe to eat the fruit
Can anyone purchase the bactericide? I have 7 Aristocrat pear trees that seem to have some blight on them that I'm noticing now that they're blooming and I'd like to treat it systemically if possible. Thank you!
What is the bacteriacide used to treat this?

How can you tell the difference between blossom wilt and fire blight?
