Having got in to the classics for the first time this year really (always been a casual grand tour follower) I am really impressed with phillipsens ability on this stuff. For a sprinter to get through all the tough stuff is amazing.
I agree, he's very impressive all round in these very long one day races. Doesn't seem to earn much of a mention next to his top level sprint finish alas.
Pedersen has been in really good form lately. Only his tactical calls seem way off recently. His attack in Flanders, for example, was such a waste of energy, but somehow he still was amongst the best after he got caught (only at the very end he broke). He seems to have an incredible amount of stamina Pogi and MVDP may be in a league of their own in classics and monuments lately, but Pedersen seems to be the best of the rest. Which is still a very impressive achievement

There wasn't much draft. Tailwind all day. You need guys like WvA (sorely missed) to give MvdP some challenge. Without those, it's really a long free ride for MvdP.

Sorry, but it seems to be impossible that all the Alpecin team are so extragalactical
goat doing goat things.. a little snoozy, but good race
Pretty boring Paris-Roubaix honestly, knew the winner since Milan crashed out
The other top riders did not stay with Mathieu Van Poel when he attacked, you can't give a guy like that an inch when he makes his move, go with him, I didn't see that, they just let him ride away. It is a flat race get in his draft and tell him you will work when you can.
There wasn't much draft. Tailwind all day. You need guys like WvA (sorely missed) to give MvdP some challenge. Without those, it's really a long free ride for MvdP.
Yawn!!!! They should have given MVP the trophy at the start. This was the most predictable Paris Roubaix in many years. Nothing against MVP, He's a great cyclist, but it was basically a training session for him. There was nobody even close to his abilities. No punctures, no accidents, MVP was pretty much assured the win. I enjoyed the Femmes race much better, wonderful nail biter at the end. Cheers
I don’t get why asgreen keeps going in the early breaks. Ain’t he one of the strongest over the cobbles?
Strong legs, weak mind.
@TorrieFix WTF is that comment that I just read hahaha
MVDP Solo Eclipse
So far this season, we've been robbed of all the exciting matchups that we've been looking forward to... No WVA to challenge MVDP in the classics, crocked WVA/Remoco/Roglic/Vingegaard for the Grand Tour season...I don't understand the excitement about MVDP winning Roubaix unchallenged...I suspect he found it boring...and Pidcock? I don't think he can make up his mind about One Days Races/Grand Tours....
Reminds me of the great Lance 😊
Lets hope not.
Why did Tim van Dijke get relegated?
He drove across the blue line in the velodrome, but so did Phillipsen so I still don't fully understand.
Phillipsen didn't ride the blue section fully so i guess thats the difference.
Van Dijke cut off half of the velodrome. A pity as there wasn't any need to do so. He rode like he never saw a velodrom before.
What happened to van Dijke?
I'm not sure, but I saw him attack in the velodrome inside of the normal riding lane. Guessing that was a no-no.
@@zackdontattack Ohhh that’s right, I remember now, thanks!
TELL ME YOU ARE DOPING WITHOUT TELLING ME YOU ARE DOPING 😂
