It sure doesn’t sound like you’ve read Tom Holland book. It sound’s like you read some positive reviews and created this strange counter argument based off those reviews. Maybe you did read his book, which in that case you can be seen as intellectually dishonest. When you read Hollands book you will find that he does not hide or side step the uncomfortable moments of Church history. Your review embodies all the things you claim to hate about Christianity. What I don’t understand is why the disdain and hatred towards Christianity. You seem to feel threatened by a religion that allows you the freedom to mock and criticize it to the world!
The Church is Borg and chronic liars and con artists.

This is silly. Indeed terrible things have been done in the name of Christianity. BUT they were done for the sake of financial or political gain for those who cared nothing for Jesus or his teachings or his death and resurrection. Christianity was never the source. It was the velvet glove on the steel hand of greed. Any intelligent and honest assessment would acknowledge this.
