Dear friend i have a celica st-i with manual clima..... i have to change the bulbs in the air command on the dash... i have seen there is a short blu cable in the rear of command and i need to disconnect it from the unit? How can i do it? Can you help me? Thank you! I write from italy!
Disconnect it from the heater control valve in the engine bay, flip the metal tab over and the cable will pop off. It then will pull right through the fire wall. There is also a cable on the left side for the hearted box that needs to be disconnected at the floor as well

I would wire that switch to the push to start relay.. thatd be some james bond type shit there.. nobody would figure out how to start the car and wouldnt have to use any fob to start the shit, just to unlock it..
We do this on our street rods but gut the lighter and use a 30 amp push pull switch. Looks like lighter but kills power to ignition and or fuel pump.

I know you did this a while back but can you explain why you have to solder the wire to the core to the outer edge?
Since I removed the heat element I needed to put the wire in there to complete the circuit to use it as a switch.
