mr Keith - it choked me up - yeah I said it -ive been playing my guitars for 4 hrs or so today - one of the reasons I picked one up 38 yrs ago is this man - I don't know him - but I know he's a Good Man -
I won Rolling Stones tickets to the Louisville KY show -on 84WHAS - COVID interrupted that dream - , but I've never gotten upset - can't complain about a damn thing cause vi can sing and play my guitars -
&I'm pretty good for a country boy from Fordsville, KY - Ohio County ,USA

Dr. John is definitely the only person in that studio that has done as much if not more hard drugs than Mr. Richards. I'm not stating that it's a point of pride, to have done so. But that doesn't make it any less remarkable of a feat.

He is a scholar and a gentleman - and the heart and soul of the Rolling Stones. One of a kind; his impact, aside from his tremendous talent, is his true love of and respect for and the pure joy he derives from music. Impossible to separate that from the man or the musician. read his autobiography. Was eye-opening to hear how normal, for such a life, he is. His views on family, his heroin problems (which he said he was sure he had licked it every time he went cold turkey, ON HIS OWN), the Rolling Stones, fame, his love for his bandmates (especially Bobby Keys, the ole' Texan sax player, and Charlie Watts, who he said is the best drummer in R&R history, due to his jazz background), his opinions, not always nice, yet the overall love for Mick, all make you think, "did the press make this guy this caricature, or did they just miss altogether understanding him?" His hooks, open mind and love of all types of music, make him one of the all-time greats, maybe more as a writer than a player. Read it, you will be glad you did, very entertaining, insightful.

His persona is authentic yeah, but he sounds as if he has subsumed that way of life code: not so hell not so heaven...just be yoursel , bit light punk light rockstar lightened his own self. That is so subtle singular. He ends stepping his foot on the sofa. So honey manner !!

technically, no, creatively, yes. And never quit learning, trying new things, from his time with Gram Parsons, to his time in Jamaica, where he said he always felt at home, especially with Jamaican musicians. Mick is OK, but laugh when I think of him trying to get along well in Jamaica, especially if any Jamaicans were around! Easy to see, why, no matter who the other musicians were in his many ensembles, he was loved by all of them. Get his book, really an eye-opener into how normal, and loving, the guy is.
