AARON ‘Wheelz’ Fotheringham is unable to control his legs - but that hasn’t stopped him achieving SIX world records and becoming a sporting superstar. Aaron was born with Spina Bifida, a rare congenital defect of the spine that often causes paralysis of the lower limbs. Aaron, 27, got his first wheelchair when he was just three years old and soon began his journey into the world of Wheelchair Motocross. His natural skating ability became more obvious and by the time he turned 14, he was the first ever person to land a backflip in a wheelchair. Since then, Aaron has built a successful career in the sport, amassing more than 500,000 followers on Instagram. He has made a home for himself in Las Vegas, with his wife Charlee, and thanks riding for giving him “everything”.

I have Spina Bifida as well and have heard of Aaron’s story before. He is amazing at what he does and it was so inspiring to hear about someone that had the same condition I did but is still following their dreams. Love him. ❤️
I have twin brothers Casey and Casen, Casen was born with spina bifida and Casey wasn't today they are 9 and its so amazing to see them grow up a protective squad. But anyway Casen does Bmx Wheel chairing and its so heart warming to see everyone in the stands cheering on this kid who can't control his legs and how at school, pratice, and even just in the neighborhood Casen is cheered on! Casey gives more support then anyone i have ever seen to his twin brother! Seeing this on this day must just be a gift from god but knowing theres a grown man out there with the same problem as Casen gives me an amazing perspective. Thanks Truly!

That’s epic!! What most people don’t think about is unlike with bikes and skateboards he can’t “bail” from a trick mid air. He is literally strapped to his chair. Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Give this person an automated wheelchair and unleash his daredevil spirit.
No! He needs a manual wheelchair, he wants to move himself! An automatic one would limit some moves+would n't help but encumber him. I'm wheelchaired, too, got now an electrification on it so that l move it but electricity gives 50% up to 80% of the power it takes. I don't have a lot power in my arms, hands, nor in my shoulders so l need it. But l know what's possible if one can decide everything on his own and exactly that's he wants, needs and does!!!
@@ConnyNordlicht Hmmm. Seems like not much innovation has happened in the electric wheelchair department. I checked and you're right; even the most expensive ones are incapable. Looks like Wheelz would need a highly customized one if he ever wishes.

I hoped that disabled weren't treated like half - wasted 2.class - humans. They only have to be abled like persons on their own feet but that it's so rmuch more expensive to make e.g. a car driveable they don't wanna see! Holding hands in frdont of their eyes noone can see! It were too expensive. But if world from now on were build so that the diabled are incldutded from the beginning to the end it were so much easier! For old, disabled, young moms with their babystrollers .... there were so many who would provit from it at all! World were a better place! People could live in bad situations with better hope of future. Be blessed and never lose your possibilities you have doesn't matter your physical situation! Be blessed, my bro!

I’m getting a new wheelchair and I’m hoping at long last that I will be one with it, as I’ve spent too long not having a connection with them ….you give me hope that it is possible….so I’m hoping this new one will be the one, or I’m dropping it over a cliff …lol will be learning some tricks, wiv this one, then I may feel better …but keep it up you make a difference and I also get called “wheelz” as I’m in a Samba band 😎🤘🥁👩🏽🦽
