I never thought much of The Darkness until I saw them live at a festival, Rock on the Range (2012?). This guy blew me away. He is a true performer. You can tell he loves being a rock star. Changed my entire perception of their music.

Justin has such stage presence here and really knows how to work a crowd. Not to mention that he can deliver on the vocals and guitar solo. The rest of the band are right in the pocket, too. Especially Dan on rhythm, driving the whole song along.

I saw them in Dublin in the RDS in 2003. They were backing Metallica and Linkin Park. They played very early, I didn't know who they were, but I knew afterwards. They definitely rocked the place. Amazing band, their live set sounds just like the studio album, and Justin, in his lycra, is one of the best front men I seen in years.
I saw these guys in Seattle a decade ago. If you think this is impressive, imagine what it's like to see a full set live. It left an impression, that's for sure.
I like the Darkness as they remind me of Queen and other bands of my teenage yearsperforming live. The energy and stage presence. It's fun to watch. And of course just look at the banks of Marshall Amps and speakers.

Ive seen two great shows in my life I rate as the best shows I have seen, G'N'R opening their Use your Illusion tour in Germany 1991, and The Darkness in Newcastle Australia. I took some friends to see The Darkness and we were blown away, I still and always will rate that show as the best.
