      We honestly learn so much from you. You are also very inspiring to everyone. You're hair is very nice - much prettier in the light. And, you were lucky to have gotten good genes for good hair.❤I also meant to say that we really like the light around your face.

      @user-qv2mg2hk4k yes, we do! I concur. I used to do hair for the Dealers and Showgirls in Reno in 1967, while carrying my daughter. No one would hire an expected mother back then. So, I worked at home. I did the same at Lake Tahoe 1967-8. 😊

    I’m not a professional but I started highlighting my own hair recently. I would go to a salon but where I live it’s unjustifiably expensive. ($500 for partial highlights that I’m not even happy with.) I’ve learned SO much from you! I basically copy the sectioning you typically do with super thin sections and weaves. I keep a toner for a root tap/shadow just in case there’s too harsh of a line. I like how it’s turned out because it’s even and blended and still healthy. But it’s gotten pretty yellow and super dull. I wish I had access to professional toners because I’m afraid to tone my hair with wella 😮

      Don’t use the Sally’s Wella version because it has ammonia in it it will lift all the natural hair that hasn’t been highlighted and be ORANGE. use a demi always

    • @MiciousDawn

      @@angelinebiswas7611 I appreciate your feedback!! The toner I have is Wella's demi toner in 6N in the teal tube, not the bottles of "toner" which I think is permanent color, like T18. I just use toner for my roots and haven't used toner on the rest of the hair because the lift and neutralizing shampoo gives me the tone I like. I just ordered Schwarzkopf blond me bleach with 20 vol developer from Amazon, but I'm having a hard time finding a good quality toner. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!

      Same with the toners! I’m a lv 3 maybe brunette. I used Wella 7 med warm toner. My Sally’s is always low on stock though! I’d love access to professional toners!

    I love all the different tones. Omg memories!! The skunk hair back In the day, I’m guilty of that style too. I think It’s still quite a look today though. I used to have fun with my blonde flash, It was every colour under the rainbow then I’d get bored & want it back white again 😂 How you foil the back of your head I will never know! That’s a skill. Beautiful ❤️

    Thanks for the back combing tip! I've done my own hair for years, I have a 3 mirrors system, still can't ever see when it comes to the front! The foil is always in the way🙄. If I could foil mine like I do my clients, then I'd be doing something! Great job, you are really talented, I love how you pick colors based on what you have, I do the same thing, and by miracle, it works out every time!!! I always enjoy the way you teach.

    Hey Kristie it's me again okay I just got done finish watching your video I'm a little confused on the toner did you mix the 2 together 5050 and route shadow and tone and with the same color or did you use a different color on the ends

    • @hairbykristijennings6648
      @hairbykristijennings6648  2 роки тому +1

      Ok yeah I wasn't very clear.... I ended up just not having to mix anything else, I started with the roots, then mids then last around the face and ends so it didn't grab as dark on the ends and hairline kind of creating a darker root on its own.
