    Hey guys!
    Hope you like this video!
    We’ll be doing lots of dimension in this dark hair but still keeping her low maintenance.
    Sorry I wasn’t able to go into full detail about my formulation, my phone was dying 🤦‍♀️
    Thank you so much for watching!

    Same! On the part about reapplying and also messing with foils and stopping certain parts from over lifting. I had a client look at me crazy like I didn’t know what I was doing. She was older (50’s)I was like 21. She’s like I’ve never had that done before. I also start very often in the front. Idk but I like more space to work in the front and hairline. When working from the back, I tend to lose proper tension needed for the face framing. Must be a generalizations thing because back in the day I guess they’d just pop some foils in, tone, and call it a day. No blending the different lines of demarcation. 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk.

    OMG i loved this vid! I struggle sometimes with over foiling and eliminating too much dimension + taking more time than i need. This was super helpful in showing me how to leave more of that dimension for those clients who really don’t want to come in as much. Also i love how personal and real you are with us during the process in your vids especially with the back room recordings, it makes me feel like i’m your assistant and was there the whole time 😩😂Thank you so much and keep up the great content 😊❤️!

    Yes Queen! Preach! I swear the amount of stylist mix up two volumes of bleach at the same time. And I am like that's basic knowledge your stronger bleach will be weaker by the time you get to it.

    When you reapply the bleach, do you wipe it off with a towel or do you just go right over the old bleach?

    How do you do your root melts when the person also needs grey coverage but also wants the root color different than their natural with a foilyage?

    • @hairbykristijennings6648
      @hairbykristijennings6648  2 роки тому +1

      Go thru the top section and do regular highlights, either before during or after the grey coverage, paint thru the ends like you would with foilayage/ balayage then go thru and do your shadow/ tone. Just make sure they understand the charge is a full added partial/ full foil ON TOP of the grey coverage/ shadow/ tone/ foilayage.....

      Apply further down from the top of foil, make sure you use sturdy foils, too thin of foils I feel like slip. I use @framar

    This is very good information and it's nice of you to share it with us. I feel like knowing these tips will make me a better hairdresser. Just one thing I feel I should point out, and this is just my opinion and I'm giving it in hopes that it will help: your talking becomes very monotone and wordy and I found myself zoning out to it and missing a lot of info. Sentences that have the voice inflection that go up at the end make it sound like you're asking a question instead of imparting information and it becomes tedious. And the wordiness wore me out, I got tired of trying to gather the meaning of what you were saying from so many words. I suggest trying to be more direct and final in your advice and not so unsure sounding, if that makes sense. I don't mean any disrespect by this, just trying to help you in your channel. As of right now I'm subscribing because you are a great hairdresser, but I find myself avoiding clicking on your videos because I know they will wear me out. Again, no disrespect, just trying to help.

      Thank you for being respectful with your comment! I actually address this often.... I get such bad anxiety that I don't make sense , I over compensate for what I'm trying to get across. And then il re record it 5 times, and then get confused on what im saying cause I can't remember if I said it already or if I deleted it from the previous recording? So then I talk in circles to make sure I'm getting the point across....🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ it's really a terrible endless cycle! I've often joked about re naming my channel to "the anxious hairstylist"..... also, I record in the mornings when I wake up and im laing in bed so my voice hasn't warmed up for the day.... so many things I wish I could fix about myself and I just make it worse.....

    • @JaneSmith0709
      @JaneSmith0709 2 роки тому +1

      @@hairbykristijennings6648 God bless you! I have high anxiety too so I feel that so much. My doc prescribed me Ativan and it has really helped me. That anxiety probably keeps you going all day tho, doesn't it? I found that a certain level of anxiety makes me a perfectionist and I like that to an extent, it makes my work a level or two better. Have you noticed that?

    • @hairbykristijennings6648
      @hairbykristijennings6648  2 роки тому +1

      That's probably accurate! Because I worry something isn't good enough or the client isn't happy or may notice this one little thing so il tell them about it, should we fix it? Are you ok with? They don't notice, no one else notice, I notice and drives me crazy worrying about it.... I'm just gonna fix it... lol
