Just did my hair today, not a professional but in my area I couldn’t find anyone who can do my hair like you do your services so I started doing it myself. Your videos helped me a lot so thank you and keep going 🤗❤️❤️

      How did it turn out?

    • @IrrinaM
      @IrrinaM 3 роки тому +1

@@Msdianaanica Pretty good actually. It's about the third time I do my hair, because I was afraid of the bleach, so I lightened my hair gradually and I also managed to achieve the colour I wanted so bad, even did a root shadow and I'm more than happy with the result

@@IrrinaM wow that's awesome!! I've ordered my things and now I just need to figure out a root shadow color.

@@Msdianaanica Apologies to any hairdresser out there but if I’m being honest I just used box hair dye and it did the job 😂

Thank you very much for this, Kristi! I have been coloring my own hair for years and cutting my hair since close to 8 months. It has been a thrilling adventure as I have studied UA-cam content to give me great results. I was my cousin’s State Board model in 2000. She did the majority of her skill check offs on me. I learned a lot at that time & UA-cam has helped me further my skills. The only thing I haven’t learned is the extra number details of color. Like when it’s 7._ _. The decimals have me thrown. But that’s what makes it professional color.

Hello! The first number is level of hair (dark to light) after “.” Is what tone of hair. The first number is the main tone and following that is less and less of the next tones. Numbers are generally universal

Okay so I commented on this 3 months ago...and here I am again. Lol
I swear I can watch this on repeat. I'm trying to learn all I can before getting in there and doing my own. I've only been successful a few times doing my hair myself... but never highlights. But also, I didn't watch a shit tom of videos like this either. I have learned so much from you!!! The color I ordered online should be here in a few days and when it gets here, yes mam, you, me, and this video, and we are doing our hair!!! I'm excited!!!

Omg I feel like I’m always commenting 1000x I always think of random shit throughout the video. Have you tried salon scale yet? I SWEAR by it now. I had no effing idea how much I was spending per service it really puts it into perspective I think they have a trial or something to test it out and you don’t need to buy their scale to use the app. It’s completely life changing. Btw this turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!

Lol sorry your face looks exactly like mine when I’m doing this. I love seeing how other hairdressers do their hair. Pulling the back of the hair forward has been an effing life changer! Also PS you need to start having other stylists come and shadow you, I SWEAR you’d get plenty of us!!

I’ve been doing the same also. I’ve been doing my own hair for over 20years. Watching you gives me more tips and ideals. And blondme is what I use also. I do hair from home so I don’t have a stylist to do my hair plus I feel you know what you want and it’s better then an other person. 👍🏻🙌🏻☺️ looks good.

THank you so much Kristi!! I love seeing your videos on how you foil your hair.. I've taken videos of myself foiling, (mostly so I can watch back and see where I messed up and how I can be better next time) and the last video you shared of this really helped me!! The only thing I messed up with was not backcombing enough (So I ended up with harsh and crooked lines) But now I know to backcomb it more.. just scared of having to brush it out after... Do you brush it out with olaplex 2 in it? Or is there a better detangler? So far the olaplex no 2 has been the only way to detangle my hair enough for toning..

  • @angelinebiswas7611

Oh hells yeah!! I foil my own hair too have for like 15 years. I’ve been using Shwartzkopft blondme at least 10 years. Fanola sent me their 9 levels of lift ultra lightener purple powder and the cream which is like 7 levels of lift and am about to foil my own hair with the powder. I’m so nervous I haven’t used anything but shwartzkopft since beauty school! I really need to branch out so am trying something new. If it turns out good I’ll let you know. I’m hoping it’s comparable to blondme because it’s quite a bit cheaper!

Hey girl that was great watching you do that. I do my own. When it really is a palava. Takes me like forever. But my other problem is roots have grey through so usually I'm doing foils and roots in one swoop. I don't tone I use the root colour usually 8 or 9 to mash through the highlights. No wonder it takes an afternoon. Lol.
But what we like. Do have arm ache? I do. Ha ha.

What volume of developer do you use on your hairline? Do you use the same all over? I always do 7 on hairline and mostly all over til I get to the very end but last time o did my own hairline it got damaged with 7vol and olaplex like how is that even possible ugh so I’m gonna have to start in back more which I hate doing

Mr arms are hurting just watching. Lol I'm about to do my own hair. I used to years ago and everyone is so busy in my salon lately. Great results. What volume developer did u use with your lightner and olaplex?

WHY do pple call the front shape the money piece?makes no sense. just bc one person starts calling it that, why do others just follow along? to b trendy? seems silly to me. Good visual instruction on how to collect the strands, thats why Im looking. been strand blonding my hair for years with a cap, but thats not accurate enough for me now, strongly looking at doing the strand foil method next, so im practicing with my pintail comb to collect the strands, once i can do that regularly neatly, i will dry practice with the foil sheets. I want to have the method accomplished neatly accurately before i apply the bleach. thnx.
