@@Meliragardia мало того, татары Касимовского Ханства (сплошь мишары, по сути, мишарского ханства) вместе с Иваном Грозным осаждали, разрушали и вырезали Казань. I’ve always wondered whether Kazan meant what I thought it meant - the huge cooking pot, “boiler”. In Bulgaria we have the cities of Kazanlık (Казанлък) and (Tatar) Pazardzik. We also have the tradition of güreş (wrestling). I have an Olympic wrestling silver medalist uncle. As a native Turkish speaker I could understand most of the bits Tatar spoken in the clip. Thanks for these informative clips.
@@BudgetGainsByJJ Today the label “Bulgarian” refers to native speakers of a Slavic dialect. They should not be confused with Turkic Bulgars who ceased to exist centuries ago. I’m a Turk, the ethnic group which founded Tatar Pazardzik and Kazanlık. The Bulgarians took out the “Tatar” part and it’s now known as Pazardzik only. It means “small market/bazaar”.

When Russians occupied Kazan in 1552, there was a cruel genocide of Tatar people, and that blood is still on the Russian people's hands.

You are Bulgarian?
@@BudgetGainsByJJ No. A “native Turkish speaker” is not Bulgarian.
@@BalkanMode of course, but you said you’re from Bulgaria that’s why I considered
@@BudgetGainsByJJ Today the label “Bulgarian” refers to native speakers of a Slavic dialect. They should not be confused with Turkic Bulgars who ceased to exist centuries ago.
