Thank you very informative! Nice set up also.
Great info brother! Keep em coming! Salt life! 🤙
Texas Jungle always my man greatly appreciate your support!
Lol yeah that first part where u and him were talking about the cowlings, I was like oh hey that’s what him and I talked about, and salty was prob referring to our conversation about that lol!! But yeah I’m glad u told me that cause u can never learn to much! And yeah I figured the motors were prob similar but I didn’t realize that the blocks and all that were the same also until he said that, u learn something new everyday 😁👍🏼👌🏼!!! And yeah from what I know and have read and have seen is that the SHO or any motor that has HO on it or anything like that the motor will have 10-15% more horsepower! (Just for example if he had the 250 and urs is the 250SHO, urs will have 10-15% more horsepower then his will due to urs is the SHO which is high output as u know but just wanted to explain it in case someone else reads this comment and doesn’t know what HO means on motors. But I loved how u guys said what size Allens they were and what size bolts they were and all that, cause the majority of the people that do videos like this don’t explain it not even close to how u guys explained it!!!, VERY AWESOME Can’t wait for the next vid brother and ur looking clean 😁👊🏼 lol!!! Keep up the good work big man!!!
Mark Morgan greatly appreciated, yes Nates is a stealth but it rips, he has a wealth of knowledge with that engine. I’ve had a great experience so far!
Salty Sportsman ur very welcome big man and yeah I can tell he does just by the way he talks about the motor!!!
Good motor only thing I don’t like is my 200 all most stalls when ya first start it
Great video! God bless?
Thank you! Also, thank you for your patience on the late reply
Got the same engine. My 20hr is coming soon. You used 5w synthetic or 10w?
Did you use Yamaha synthetic oil?
How has your SHO held up....
After the initial new oil changes what’s recommended ? Every 50,100 hours etc? I have the Yamaha 115.
Every 100 hours after 20 hour service is typical
At the 7:06 mark... What are you removing and why? Do you have to pump remaining fluid out that top screw hole? What pump and fittings do I need?
That’s the top drain screw of the lower unit that releases the pressure so that you can drain your lower unit oil
I have the same motor 2018. Did you have any issues with the motor making oil (fuel passing by the rings because not seated yet)? This would increase your oil level. Almost every one of the SHO motors does this. Just curious...
Thanks...
George Henson ya some people do have problems even when doing the correct breaking in process, I personally have not. I literally did everything central marine told me to do. If you did break in right I would have contacted the dealership right when you found out because they could have calculated rpms and time to find out if break in was done correctly before the 20 hour service.
Do you run the motor before you do oil change ?
Kaden Chau yes get it to normal running temp then drain
I've ran over 50 hours on my new engine without changing the oil yet😬🙈
You didn’t show it even talk about anything like - did you run the motor for a while first, how many and where are all the nuts/bolts etc that need to be removed, when he was changing the engine oil what’s the little bolt he messes with? Halfway video.. like you showed a few things but not really enough for someone that hasn’t changed an outboard before
You change youre motor oil every 20 hrs 😅 what ?
No metal is fantastic in your lower unit
I wouldnt do half the shit these guys doing
Is this a compliment or an insult?
@@FishingWithSalty compliment
@@FishingWithSalty you take it how you want it tho! Ive done enough maintinence on shit to not use a wrench to tighten an oil filter
@@edwardabrahamiii3742 compliment taken thank you sir
@@edwardabrahamiii3742 thank you!
Not very good
My bad for the Late Reply: what’s not good?
