Does this put constant pressure on the spring? If so the problem with that is the spring will slowly loose it’s extra power, you guys should release a new spring instead. Great idea but in the long term it might not be good for your spring. People have gotten better springs for guns like the Texan in the past and I have seen them for like 10$, I don’t know if that will fit in this gun, but it shouldn’t be hard for you guys to get a stronger spring in the future. Also a new spring would allow you to go all the way up to 4500psi instead of 4000, you should release 2 diffrent springs, one that shoots at 4000psi for people with external regulators, and one that can do 4500psi for everyone else, also does anybody know if there are problems with hammer bounce?
it just adds to the preload, doesn't really hurt the springs, since they are still not being fully compressed even with the washers. Using a lighter spring, and being able to add preload is far better for a MFG, since it's just one part, and you can modify the gun to have to output you want. In a way, it's no different than adding and subtracting washers from regulators. Personally, I don't understand why people are still wanting to beat their guns to death with powerful springs and heavy hammers in order to get a little power lol, there've been better designs out in the hobby-building world for nearly 20 years lol.
@@mikem602 That's very good imo. But the thing is for me, .357 slugs dont like 917 fps. Pellets can take it, but most slugs like mid 800s or high 900s.
@@swingonthespiral Come on they have slugs shooting well over 1000 fps with accuracy on air and with helium well beyond that. There are so many slugs styles and grains to choose from. Pellets are old technology and been around since the early 1900's, and JSB Diabolo pellet started in 1991, and for .357 cal you have one 81.02 grain to choose. Slugs have much higher BC (Ballistic coefficient) than any diabolo Pellet. Pellets will shoot fast at first, but slow down fast because of the drag low BC of the pellet.
It averaged 50 fps more. That's a great gain for an airgun, for a basically free mod. And a reversible one at that. I have found that with airguns. And I am not an expert. But have quite a few. That it is often a sum of the parts. One mod might only do small gain by itself, but then with another mod it is like the gains are multiplied. Idk? I think it's a great little mod!
I don’t under stand why this did not help because it added over 70 FPE to my 457 Challenger.. But I used 4 washers. I guess I’m lucky I have hade no problem with 4 washers.
All you done was add 800 psi from 3200 on the first string to 4000 on the second string of course when the hammer strikes the valve the shots with have more power because their is more pressure inside the tank adding the three washers only make the valve stay open longer this can be achieved by getting a heavier spring
thats bs, if you up the fill pressure on non regulated gun and dont stiffen the spring or add weight to hammer the velocities will go down untill sweet spot because the hammer dont have enough kinetic energy to open valve as much as lower fill pressures.

u changed the beginning preasure by 700 psi so what exactly are u trying to show speeds didnt really change and u cant compare ending preasure if the begining was different

Not sure there is a big benefit to adding the 3 washers. stock seems pretty good for a 9 mm 🤷🏻♂️
facts 💯 I don't see any difference either.
7 shots over 917 fps with washers and 3 shots over 917 without. Not a gigantic difference but seemed to help.

By adding more pressure in the tank you take away the "added value" of increasing the spring preload because your valve dwell time decreases.
