Ive read in the threads saying the cambelt plugs oil all changed etc before you started it. What i would say is keep an eye on the crank seal gasket as they are notorious for the common oil drip leaking. And after 16yrs storage you could well find its needs replacing. Ive had 3 saffs and had to replace them on 2 so if you do spot a slight oil leak after using the car then that would be one of the first places id look at as the seal basically hardens when not used and then cracks causing oil to seap through. I will say after 16yrs and she starts on the button 1st time .. seriously impressive 😎
Thanks Graig, I have fitted a new cam belt, replaced spark plugs, HT leads changed the engine oil and filter. Before I started it up I disconnected the coil wire and cranked it over until the oil light went out. Then Simon (my friend) went around the back with the camera then wow it just started. It sounds a bit like a sewing machine top-end pos hydraulic cam followers.

So basically it was the immobiliser causing the issue due to a bad power feed from fuse box.... Old fords eh.. 😂
Yes that is right, I should have fixed that right away but had to get a box of fuses .
