I really don’t get the logic of storing a worthless Sierra diesel in a shed under cover and leaving a Cosworth outside in the elements to deteriorate... What a genius.

Sometimes cars have sentimental value over monetary value. Sometimes people just see cars as tools rather then something to keep. Sometimes people have medical issues which mean things get like this. The person who owned the vehicle may see this, be nice, you have no idea what may have happened here.

you've obviously never welded an old ford with a rust problem before the problem is finding good bits to weld to and i've had more oldskool fords than i've had hot dinners and to me thats looking like it wants inner and outter sills floor pans windscreen needs to come out to do repair on bulkhead behind battery tray needs a new bonnet will no doubt want rear arches it is a sierra they prone to rot there and thats just what i could see on video if i saw that car in person i reckon i'd fill a a4 sheet of paper with things it needs never mind the complete overhaul of the engine which won't be cheap nothing for the YB is cheap everyone adds on the cosworth tax i see a money pit! lol

@@LakesLee yes and end up being money pits better of starting with something solid imo then build on that but then we live in Britain try finding a solid mk2 shell to restore most have either been restored or are as rotten as a pear by now and need nearly every panel replacing hence a lot of south african shells end up over here because they're usually rust free if they been in hot climate i spent over 30yrs messing about with capri's had everything in them from 2.0 pinto's turbo'd to 2.9 boa cosworth engines had plenty of other fords tons of sierras couple of cossie ones and granada cosworths escorts orions fiesta's cortina's i like fords but problem now a days is you need deep pockets to own one never mind own 7 like i used to i'm gonna build one more though but the only thing ford about it will be the body shell it will be a drift missile though ;)

Something weird about this? It’s stolen recovered. Not sure about the recovered side of things. It may still be stolen. The original owner may not be around anymore or in the country or the car never found and Nathan kept the car under wraps? Then applies for the V5 and hey presto it’s in his name it’s easy to do after 14 years. Who leaves a 3 door hidden away on a hedge behind a transit for 14+ years if they haven’t got nothing to hide? Something iffy going on here in my opinion! I am not hating but think about the scenario. It is just my opinion. Don’t mean to offend anyone but after all these years it just don’t make sense….

Back in the day, a cossie was stolen often, insurance quotes were double value of the car and Ford hadcto slash the price of them to sell them. Yes the Cossie was the most stolen car in its time. Love the boot build, shame time got to it. She needs some work to get her up to scratch, but all the same, shes a great project. Cheers Bro for bringing Nathan and his Fords to your channel. 👍👌

What's always struck me is that the hood vents on the RS Cosworth are visually identical to the McLaren-done turbocharged Pontiac Grand Prix's of the early/mid 1990's- I found a wrecked one several years back, cut the hood up and transplanted the vents from the Pontiac onto an L67 Buick Regal. Brilliant videos, I have watched quite a few of these, it is truly criminal that these rare cars are just sat rotting and dying, crying with the rust cancer. It is truly such a shame. The owners are NEVER going to renovate them, they should sell them and allow someone to save them for the future. It is truly sacrilege allowing these great cars to just turn to rust and dust.

LEAVE it EXACTLY as it is!! Get it booked in at 'Matthewsons' auctions and let's see what it goes for under the hammer on "Bangers and Cash".
This beast needs fully restoring and unfortunately it's out of the working man's hands. I almost spat my drink out when you started it up then nearly cried when you washed it. It should have gone to auction exactly as it was when the tarpaulin was pulled off it.
I'd rather see it go to a rich "collector" than see it deteriorate even more. The car requires a full bare shell restoration, then engine, box, turbo, full running gear rebuild. The works.
    The car deserves it.
Why can't I win the lottery??

Nice looking Sierra Cosworth that RS looks like the floor is a bit gone but it’s a restoration project. I won’t mind it myself but all depends how much money it’s gonna cost to buy it. If it’s up for sale like it’s a shame it wasn’t put on hard, standing floor straight away for the first time when it was put there Get a replica wheels now these days you won’t be able to get the originals because it be too expensive and there’s not many people I love them neither anymore but parts of the body were fine. It’s just the floor what needs re-doing or depends what the chassis is like as well, so Mary is a pain natural subwoofer in the back nice I wonder where I am busy. Very nice of you that sound awesome yeah just replace them never had it on eBay set up an image below. Choose to run out when it was stored. That is nice How are you?😅😅😅😅❤

Good to see it running and finally out for a wash but i would bother with paint correction just strip her to a shell and build it fresh
