Bruce Springsteen is the best and he is a really good guy a normal dude. Am from Philly I now live at the Jersey shore Cape May New Jersey and I have seen Bruce just walking by himself on Wildwood boardwalk. Stopping talking to us and taking pictures with people. He said that it's his way of relaxing. Such a cool dude 😎

Lmao I just love how he's trying to cue Max in the beginning and it takes a second try for him to explain what he wants. I remember reading that Max is known for watching Bruce like a hawk because you never know when he's gonna go Quarterback mode and call an audible.
Bruce is a talented singer and song writer, but his James Brown-esque ability to lead a band with little details like that is so underrated. All front men/women of bands can take a cue from guys like him and James Brown. If you want your band to sound tight, you have to take charge. They don't call him the boss for nothing.

They surprise me with the ticket. I was not too happy at the beginning because I’m going to tough times right now and that’s why they buy me the tickets but when I got there and I saw this guy the energy that he brings is amazing. Coming from a live percussionist of 15 years, the way Bruce gives him the first "two" before spinning around and the lights dim, it looks more to be instructions on when he will eventually come in. Now that alone could make sense that maybe he has to catch his breath. But then he turns around to the drummer once again, gives hand movements referencing the fill, then has a clear reaction to said fill not hitting down on the beat Bruce had instructed. Not to mention, Bruce isn't entirely thrashing about that he would be totally out of breath before he even comes in.

Bruce was brilliant back in the day. He clearly peaked in the late 70s / early 80s. I still enjoy a lot of the stuff he's done since Born in the USA, but his and the band's music and performance were just so much more sophisticated and subtle back then, with little touches of jazz and r'n'b. He almost seems like a mixture of Roy Orbison and Tom Waits in this 😄
