just got the 500to600 hp turbo from u guys put on with big fuel pump and intercooler all i like is new boost pipes and a after market bov im gonna leave it turned down till i build motor
@ballinonabudget3313 i did the gtx3076r gen2 and was at tuner for 2 weeks switched it over to hp tuners and everytime it comes into boost the pipes are blowing off even with hair spray so ive orderd a bead roller to roll more aggressive beads on pipes and the intercooler and switch to t clamps or if this dont work i will have to get someone to vband everything but im hoping this works
@ballinonabudget3313 and yeah man i did the extreme di fuel pump and that thing was 1800 after 1 day shipping and got a intercooler pipe that has a meth injection bung so i ordered that as well to run it on meth instead of having to mix fuel unless i went full e85 but where i live its an hour to closest store
Have you done any research into the 4 port heads for the ecoboost? I know there pretty hard to get which sucks because im sure it would make alot of things easier. Sounds like most of the problems come from the single port head and all that back pressure between the head and turbo
@isaacL79 Wdym? people have done it already. A guy on my facebook has a NA head off the base model on his 2.0 ecoboost that flows better. And it runs anything is possible
Why do you never suggest the new G25 series turbos? They are generally more efficient than other turbos, especially compared to the GTX series you mentioned. Is it purely because of their price? G25 550 seems to be the sweet spot for a lot of people that just want decent power that spools fast
Great video but just a tip for your cameraman/producer if hes going to do those slow constantly panning shots of you please turn off off the auto focus and keep the camera focused manually, the nonstop focus shifts particularly noticeable in the background are messing with my head 😅
how would you rate the BNR3071 for a 500whp figure? I run the BNR3071, XDi35 HPFP, RS injectors, E40, and obviously full bolt ons (3" cat-less dp, 3" straight pipe SRS exhaust with custom 14" resonator for drone reduction). i do have a good amount of cooling support (though I'm stock radiator, no issues)...but i run a mishimoto oil cooler with a cPE lightweigh FMIC that does an amazing job of keeping charge temps low. I also run all Motul fluid in the brake/clutch system and trans. Im likely in the 420whp+ range, being limited on my RS injectors (this was intentional). However, after less than 10k miles of not driving it terribly hard, I have a cylinder 1 ringland failure. Oil caked itself onto the plug and intake valves...while it still holds a good compression (likely due to the oil soaked rings?)... its smoking pretty good despite no CELs or misfires or anything, yet. I've done a full intake valve cleaning job (last weekend) and made sure my PCV system was functioning okay (check valves work, no restrictions, etc). I run 1 non-vented, non-check valved JLT OCC on the intake/valve cover side, and a Damond OCC (stage 1 with the stage 2 VTA kit) that has a check valve on the can to manifold side, as well as a check valve from the can to the VTA filter. This goes to the Radium PCV baffled plate, not utilizing the secondary port (yet). So I'm looking to go for a 500whp setup, and i know the BNR is rated for that range, and it'll have less lag than the bigger turbos. My thinking is a forged motor, with XDi 2000cc injectors, and just upping the boost. That's supposedly enough to get me to the 500 mark while safely running it pretty hard with a motor that can handle more.
at what point is a larger throttle body upgrade necessary for flow? I havent heard many tuners talk about upgrading the TB when talking big power..so i assume its not a restriction at the 500whp or less?
i run the same turbo but with RS injectors and on E40. Im at least in the 420whp range based on the cars I've pulled..and I think trying to keep my whp lower to save the engine didnt work too well...my cylinder 1 ringlan has failed and now I'm looking into a built motor, 500whp safe set up. The 3071 is a great turbo for the price, Ive been very happy with it for almost 10k miles (until my engine decided it was done lol). i run some OCC's and have a decent PCV set up as well as all Motul fluids and Mobil 1 with an oil cooler. So I dont have temperature issues, i think the cylinder just got starved some how or jsut got too hot.. i dont lug the engine (lspi) which i hear is the primary cause of ringland failure. Light smoke first, then a week later after inspection I found the plug covered in oil as was the top of the piston. Cleaned all the intake valves (cyl 2,3,4 al looked good/normal), but after popping in a new plug that first cylinder is just caked with oil instantly. Borescope shows a good amount of scoring in multiple places too 😩
Even I was like for the Focus ST, I was thinking that like 400WHP is good enough for me. Lol Anything more and I'm looking at a 5.0 because Easy Mode for like 700+HP with FBOs and a Supercharger/Turbo. Lol
I think that defeats the purpose, I think most ST owners would buy a 5.0 if they had 35k+ to finance but most are in the 15-20k range and maybe able to save for turbo kits/parts. Comparing this to a 5.0 + turbo kit is stupid lol.

Love watching these videos thanks for them Alan! You should do this for the Fiesta ST & Focus RS!

Look forward to hitting that benchmark with your tuning; which so far has been excellent in service and calibration. Many thanks

Alan, is it possible to do a series like this for the Fiesta ST people like myself?
It would be awesome if you guys did an autocross build
I’ve moved from an ST to an RS could ya do some RS build videos? Nobody else really does the videos as informative as you.
We won't be getting a RS for the shop anytime soon but we'll take a note of that and maybe we'll work with a local soon to create some good videos.
cause all the RS guys are going ST now LOL
Ya stuff for the RS is definitely more expensive and after learning the ST has a better motor I miss my st

They are incompatible with tuning sadly, too many differences from a standard 2.0 headifold head

G25 660 wouldn't reach 500whp even on full e85
@@L3GACYxiNsTiiNcT That is incorrect. Im over 500whp tuned by Alan with a g25-660 on 33psi e50 worked head etc.

I think it's time for an upgrade!
Thoughts on a g25-660 .72 ar vs g30-660 .61 ar?
G25 660 caps out like at 450 on full e85
G30 660 can take you into 500's
what's about on transmition ? ib5+ support 400 hp o torque ? mt75 suport more ?

Sounds like you have a very good understanding of what you need!
what is the craziest numbers the ST can make if you go all out?
We have a customer that claims 750ish and apparently drives it regularly, although I have not see it myself.
Can you recommend some people who make a good motor?
4:30 what would be the maximum HP / RPM / boost to aim for with a 2.3liter closed deck block ?
I rev mine to 7500 pretty regularly I also have a ported head tho. I’ve seen it rev to 8000 before but flow tops out around 7500.
has anyone gone to a volvo head with its standard exhaust ports to get better airflow out of the engine?
Can you make this video on a mazdaspeed 3 motor?
Yes we can! I'll get it on the whiteboard and bring it out soon!
at what point is a larger throttle body upgrade necessary for flow? I havent heard many tuners talk about upgrading the TB when talking big power..so i assume its not a restriction at the 500whp or less?
You would be correct, it doesn't come into play until higher in the output ranges
I have a BNR 3071 with 4 port aux fuel. I assume I'm making 500ish at the crank and around 460-470 at the wheel. Is this accurate Alan?

We probably will not do that

So. Be like every Tom, Dick, and Harry? The only Mustang worth spending money on is the gt350. Everything else is null and void.
You only need about 350whp to put a gap on a s550 GT. 400 if it has bolt ons and tune 😂
