Not only cult like. I've read ( cannot be 100% sure) that the audit have discovered financial misdeeds by some of Mama Roach employees. These would not be " cult followers " but accomplices and she has power over them. My impression is that she built a network of people that she can control using different methods.
In the end it's hybe losing a valuable asset to the company. L don't think they will demand penalties from them if they leave and they will be able to continue with different careers in future. It was just not meant to be. I hope there will be a amicable resolution for everyone involved.

They blamed ADOR for the leak of their trainee day video, back when they were in Source Music. They blamed ADOR for not dealing with a manager in Belift Lab for ignoring them (when they held no substantial evidence). They blamed ADOR for Min Hee Jin's removal, which was the decision of its board and investors (which included Hype). All I have learned from when this staryed is that mama roach is good at disturbing media to her favor. And from what I can see the pant girls probably knew the plans to get them out. Going by what happened with MHJ that was a mistake. Where I used to work if you quit or were under investigation or fired you were not allowed to clean anything out of your office. The HR director, and if needed, a security officer would be there to take possession of their equipment and pack up all your possessions.
True. At my company they even guide you to an office, give you an accompanying officer while they inventory your equipment... if it's complete, you're free to go with the officer to collect your personal belongings at best, if not, you get a notification of an ongoing investigation and are escorted out the door.

There are legal negotiations involved for settlements and/or the case goes to court. Secondly, any concerts or appearances that were contracted with ADOR are also paid to ADOR because they are the contracted party for these events, not NJ or whatever else they want to call themselves. Thirdly, they will be sued by ADOR if they sign contracts directly with other parties, regardless of the name they use as they are legally still under contract to ADOR.

If you want to completely, totally erase a drive's data, you don't just want to format it, you want to "Zero-fill" it; to turn every "bits" on it into a "0". That way, not only the index but also any actual data, old or new, is unrecoverable. I'm simplifying but hopefully it helps :)

Can You clarify the following: 1. Is NJ still under contract wirh ADOR (their last show didn't use the group name and I'don't understand why)? 2. If contract is still valid, at what point does NJ cease to be under contract with ADOR? Will the court decide and set a deadline? 3. When can NJ sign with a new agency? 4. After the contract is terminated, can they still perform the songs that were created during the contract with ADOR? 5. Can NJ buy the rights to those songs from ADOR?
1. Yes they are still under contract. 2. The original contract is most likely for 7 years total. Keep in mind that there are not one single contract for "New Jeans", there are several individual contracts, one for each member. To leave this type of contract, they either deal amicably with the company and find some arrangements between themselves to sort this out and stop activities. Alternatively, the group can pay a certain sum of money, either predetermined or based on possible future earnings, as a default to break the contract early. Or if the terms of these contracts are irrevocably broken, a court can decide to terminate it. 3. They can sign with another company technically anytime, but while they are under exclusive contracts (such as they are), it opens their new agency to basically an automatic lawsuit. Unless the members manage to end their contracts, they won't be able to freely sign with a new agency before it expires (again, most likely 7 years total since it was signed). 4. No. Everything that was made for them while they were NewJeans is owned by Ador or HYBE. This includes the songs. Preforming them in any kind of professional manner opens them up to copyright lawsuits. While they would be able to sing them in an "un-professional" way, like... a UA-cam livestream, for exemple (like you are able to sing aloud any song without being automatically copyrighted), this probably won't get them anywhere monetary-wise. 5. Yes, in theory they could! If they can manage to reach such an agreement. Hope that helped! :)

NewJeans is still under contract with Ador because they can't simply announce it was unilaterally broken and start acting as if it doesn't exist anymore. The contract they have with Ador is still valid because no one has broken it. Ador is seeking validation from the courts that the contracts are still valid, despite what NewJeans publicly claimed. If you took the time to watch that video, it's explained at 6:23.

The reason it is difficult to understand why NewJeans are siding with Min Heejin is because all the information they have shared thus far as "reasons" for terminating their contract are simply justifications. The real reasons are autonomy and money. Autonomy includes artistic freedom, the freedom to form their own identity and direct their own careers, which I think we can all agree every artist should have but most Kpop artists don't. The money is the bigger factor though, and 100% explains the parents' involvement. Kpop artists generally get 10%-20% of profits, split among members. So each NewJeans member is currently receiving 2%-4% of the profits they generate. The sheer amount of money that Ador is making from NewJeans is the real issue, and what sets them apart from other rookie groups. It must seem manifestly unfair to the members that they are not paid in proportion to their contributions. Equity theory tells us that people who believe they are paid unfairly relative to others will demand more, slack off, rationalize the inequity, or quit. MHJ may have been ready and willing to renegotiate those contracts early, but she was removed from the CEO position and the current CEO is probably not willing to renegotiate. So NewJeans is basically slacking off, by doing the bare minimum until their contract is legally terminated.
On HDDs, one had to work hard to remove the data; but in modern SSD drives, on modern OSs, recovery is almost impossible, due to their use of the so-called TRIM technology. If TRIM is enabled (and these days it generally is), the data is erased, with practically no trace, immediately. The main reason for this is actually extending the lifetime of SSD drives, not privacy, but... the end result is, if someone deletes something, it stays deleted. No, the court case may take 2 years till it is settled for both sides - it was the case with JYJ. That does not mean that if they loose it it will only be those 2 years but the rest of the contract, too, and from the 7 years they have only done a little more than 2 - nevermind the period where they basically refused to work. But most likely they can come to the conclusion that the contract is valid but the girls can go... if they pay the penalty or at least begin to pay that off.
It's funny how in this video you are literally giving examples of a very popular bb, who tried to leave their company, with proofs of how it is almost impossible and how bad consequences they might face, like completely banning them from industry. This is a tactic by them. Legal issues would make them have to be drawn out for years, interrupting other activities. They aren't being "incredible" at all.
Any company that tries to circumvent the exclusive contract that Adore has with NJ will be sued for “Tortious Interference” meaning they are helping the artist to breach their contract. This is a very serious issue in contract law…..a BIG NO NO! It is to deter outside entities from getting involved in contract disputes🤨

Not only cult like. I've read ( cannot be 100% sure) that the audit have discovered financial misdeeds by some of Mama Roach employees. These would not be " cult followers " but accomplices and she has power over them. My impression is that she built a network of people that she can control using different methods.
In the end it's hybe losing a valuable asset to the company. L don't think they will demand penalties from them if they leave and they will be able to continue with different careers in future. It was just not meant to be. I hope there will be a amicable resolution for everyone involved.

By filing for the court to confirm, ADOR has effectively invalidated NewJeans's entire argument. Exactly. ADOR and Hype/Belift/Source Music are different entitities (at least legally) Their whole claim doesn't make any sense in the first place. They blamed ADOR for the leak of their trainee day video, back when they were in Source Music. They blamed ADOR for not dealing with a manager in Belift Lab for ignoring them (when they held no substantial evidence). They blamed ADOR for Min Hee Jin's removal, which was the decision of its board and investors (which included Hype).

Data is recoverable because few employees have the knowledge or even technical permission to issue the right ‘secure erase’ commands to a modern SSD. As you say, the cloud/company server storage might make that useless anyway.
TThere's also IT Disaster recovery people who will retrieve data even from damaged IT equipment eg recovery of data.
great video, got a bit sidetracked there about the gold 🤣 but overall very informative and entertaining, I've subscribed! Lost to this drama, and frankly the whole she told them to ignore me, its so miniscule, so laughable. Yeah I would also tell my team that Im managing to ignore you, and I would have done it directly to your face, because the hate those girls were getting were due to your mama attacking them and you 5 not speaking for them. Going by what happened with MHJ that was a mistake. Where I used to work if you quit or were under investigation or fired you were not allowed to clean anything out of your office. The HR director, and if needed, a security officer would be there to take possession of their equipment and pack up all your possessions.
True. At my company they even guide you to an office, give you an accompanying officer while they inventory your equipment... if it's complete, you're free to go with the officer to collect your personal belongings at best, if not, you get a notification of an ongoing investigation and are escorted out the door.

There are legal negotiations involved for settlements and/or the case goes to court. Secondly, any concerts or appearances that were contracted with ADOR are also paid to ADOR because they are the contracted party for these events, not NJ or whatever else they want to call themselves. Thirdly, they will be sued by ADOR if they sign contracts directly with other parties, regardless of the name they use as they are legally still under contract to ADOR.

When you delete a file on your computer, its file's index (or "pointer") is removed (so it can't be accessed) but its actual content remains on the disk, ready to be written over by a later file. It's marked as "free space", because it can be used as "free space" since it's not assigned anymore, but until that happens, programs exists to try to recreate a file by trying to gather all of its original parts to make the file content accessible again (even if there's bits and pieces that started to be overwritten by other, newer files).
If you want to completely, totally erase a drive's data, you don't just want to format it, you want to "Zero-fill" it; to turn every "bits" on it into a "0". That way, not only the index but also any actual data, old or new, is unrecoverable.
I'm simplifying but hopefully it helps :)

1. Is NJ still under contract wirh ADOR (their last show didn't use the group name and I'don't understand why)?
2. If contract is still valid, at what point does NJ cease to be under contract with ADOR? Will the court decide and set a deadline?
3. When can NJ sign with a new agency?
4. After the contract is terminated, can they still perform the songs that were created during the contract with ADOR?
5. Can NJ buy the rights to those songs from ADOR?
1. Yes they are still under contract.
2. The original contract is most likely for 7 years total. Keep in mind that there are not one single contract for "New Jeans", there are several individual contracts, one for each member. To leave this type of contract, they either deal amicably with the company and find some arrangements between themselves to sort this out and stop activities. Alternatively, the group can pay a certain sum of money, either predetermined or based on possible future earnings, as a default to break the contract early. Or if the terms of these contracts are irrevocably broken, a court can decide to terminate it.
3. They can sign with another company technically anytime, but while they are under exclusive contracts (such as they are), it opens their new agency to basically an automatic lawsuit. Unless the members manage to end their contracts, they won't be able to freely sign with a new agency before it expires (again, most likely 7 years total since it was signed).
4. No. Everything that was made for them while they were NewJeans is owned by Ador or HYBE. This includes the songs. Preforming them in any kind of professional manner opens them up to copyright lawsuits. While they would be able to sing them in an "un-professional" way, like... a UA-cam livestream, for exemple (like you are able to sing aloud any song without being automatically copyrighted), this probably won't get them anywhere monetary-wise.
5. Yes, in theory they could! If they can manage to reach such an agreement.

NewJeans is still under contract with Ador because they can't simply announce it was unilaterally broken and start acting as if it doesn't exist anymore. The contract they have with Ador is still valid because no one has broken it. Ador is seeking validation from the courts that the contracts are still valid, despite what NewJeans publicly claimed.

The reason it is difficult to understand why NewJeans are siding with Min Heejin is because all the information they have shared thus far as "reasons" for terminating their contract are simply justifications. The real reasons are autonomy and money. Autonomy includes artistic freedom, the freedom to form their own identity and direct their own careers, which I think we can all agree every artist should have but most Kpop artists don't. So each NewJeans member is currently receiving 2%-4% of the profits they generate. The sheer amount of money that Ador is making from NewJeans is the real issue, and what sets them apart from other rookie groups. It must seem manifestly unfair to the members that they are not paid in proportion to their contributions. Equity theory tells us that people who believe they are paid unfairly relative to others will demand more, slack off, rationalize the inequity, or quit. MHJ may have been ready and willing to renegotiate those contracts early, but she was removed from the CEO position and the current CEO is probably not willing to renegotiate. So NewJeans is basically slacking off, by doing the bare minimum until their contract is legally terminated.

No, the court case may take 2 years till it is settled for both sides - it was the case with JYJ.
That does not mean that if they loose it it will only be those 2 years but the rest of the contract, too, and from the 7 years they have only done a little more than 2 - nevermind the period where they basically refused to work.
But most likely they can come to the conclusion that the contract is valid but the girls can go... if they pay the penalty or at least begin to pay that off.

It's funny how in this video you are literally giving examples of a very popular bb, who tried to leave their company, with proofs of how it is almost impossible and how bad consequences they might face, like completely banning them from industry. Let's remember that they claimed their schedules and profits were badly managed, which I think are very valid reasons to leave or at least resign the contract. But in another video, you just make a claim that if any member of bts were mistreated, they would just leave. Just like that bc it's THAT EASY. So weird that with all of your knowledge, you have this assurance in your mind that hybe/bh is different or bts situation is different, and they can just leave without any consequences from industry or company.
