No spoilers since I saw RM’s documentary last night- but my opinion is that RM went through a healthy effort to create an album that allowed him to share his raw self - something authentic. From the Festa dinner where they announced their “break” and his subsequent lives (more than the documentary) you could tell he was struggling to emerge from the K-pop identity as he was originally a rapper and BTS was going to be a HipHop group, and share himself before the military started. Once in the military and after RPWP was released and so well received, he seemed to go from content (finally) to happy (big smiles when performing Spring Day with military band) to genuinely missing BTS and ARMY (last Weverse post). I think the solo era was really good and healthy. They found out ARMY is never leaving. They explored their own musical genres and discovered what they could do individually as well as in the group. I think they are going to come back as a tighter group than when they took a break.
@@Imme_begin I watched it yesterday and me and about 15 ARMYs spent a good hour talking about it, about Bangtan in general and about life lol. We didn't knew each other before but it was like I found my long lost family. When you will go, talk with others. ARMYs are amazing!💜
They needed to find themselves again, independently from the group, as they had matured, changed, endured, grown. We all need to reassess our present reality, whether old goals are still valid and where to from now. Working as a unit involved at times letting go of personal interests and projects. Not only is that need fulfilled but now they can bring back those experiences, contacts and fan back to the group. It was a very healthy break, allowing them also to experience a different life and live alongside people they would otherwise never meet. They will hopefully rebuild a synergy with each a stronger link than ever... and new ideas!
It will be wonderful to see them stronger together, more mature, and with m ore personal insight into their individual personalities. It will be amazing to watch.
Powerful lol Jimin and J Hope are already close to all members (during Covid they got closer Suga said and Jimin saw some members were building walls before that) it was RM who is mostly aloof and not close to other members except Jimin and J Hope. He trusts and loves Jimin the most out of all adults he has met as an idol. He prob had enough of communal living in military (like Jin and Suga he needs most personal space) and is not the most affable (tho optimistic) fellow. Despite his lofty lyrics he’s not the warmest and most altruistic. Also not a natural leader like Jimin and J Hope. He was thrust with leadership and wouldn’t have coped as a leader without the help and pastoral care given by Jimin and J Hope to all members enabling him to lead comfortably without having to hold hands of each member when they were in need. Smal but significant example: when Suga had two operations where was RM? It was Jimin on both counts. Army look up to him as the dad (fitting as someone who speaks on behalf of family tho not privy to their emotional life) but actually it’s the mom doing all the hard work silently to maintain the emotional balance and harmony of the family. I hate the binary analogies. Jimin and J Hope are the nurturers. Tho Jin helped with cooking he isn’t the one you go to for stress relief as all members showed early on. Another small example: when RM was anxious during pandemic and halting of concerts etc J Hope told him “at least we have jobs”. That’s why I love J Hope, ever the humanitarian like Jimin. 2025 is going to be interesting. Lots of new dynamics due to the new uneven success of each of their solo careers. And ms experiences. Jimin is the biggest advicate of BTS continuing from the start when some members were fatigued wanted a break a solo adventures. Now all are on sane page. Hope Suga is going to be back stronger than ever. Perhaps RM need to handover his leadership to some other member if he is tired like he said in Minimoni. And be free to be part of just helming the creative process (tho Balming Tiger was a huge part of his new album ) of post ms BTS who is not chart kings but more critically acclaimed BTS which they have never been considered. With Indigo and RPWP he effectively wiped the English songs BTS reputation he agonised so much about pre hiatus. RM is after glory for himself (rightfully) not mainstream pop (he can’t do it anyway unless if it’s Closer n it’s stiff competition) and he should now seek it for BTS too. @@DM-ys8rv That's a lot of nonense, to put it nicely. RM wasn't THRUST into leadership. He had the skill prior to the other six coming in, and they voted him to be a leader. He's not necessarily cuddly, but group dynamics means some members are closer than other. It's always been known that publicly that RM is the leader, behind the scenes it's Jin and JHope. Just because RM wasn't cuddly to begin with doesn't mean he didn't learn to be more. All the members have stated that RM is their foundation. Their place of safety and the person whom will advise with depth. RM wasn't there on camera with Suga - doesn't mean he wasn't there. They are very close and even Suga says he's BTS because of RM. Stop with the nonsense. It's a ridiculous analysis of dynamics that you've gotten wrong - based on what the men themselves have said and expressed. -_-

There is a some stuff with boracity I do not like - especially when she talks about other artists but overall she is very good. If you are interested in the HYBE situation I suggest also watching HYBE BOY - he translates a lot of articles and messages but also is interested in the stocks Seoulite TV - a bit gossipy but for me that makes him entertaining and he gets into context a lot It helps with all the clickbait.
all they have shared is that their unit loves them. lets believe that until they tell us otherwise. i would suggest not interacting with any of the rumors, even commenting that they are false. negative interaction is STILL interaction which gives them fuel to do more!
One must remember they are in the military a completely different environment. If a soldier raises his hand to an officer senior in rank he is in serious trouble no doesn't matter what the provocation. Bullies thrive in this environment As a 75 yr old South African I lived through the conscription of all our young men and what was done to them by their battle hardened superiors who were supposed to protect them. My husband told me he was more afraid of some of the members of his own unit than he was of the enemy, and he was more than capable of protecting himself. I believe that JK is mature enough to realize what Armies would do to anyone who hurt him, and he would never inflict that on anyone. As you said there are some things that people, including our boys would prefer to keep quiet about, and those of us who really love them should respect that. Let us petition what ever deity we believe in to protect them sothat their spirit is never broken and the joy we see in their eyes never fades.
True but anyone silly enough to bully an international idol who shakes the hand of world leaders and has millions of fans ready to mobilise, owns a fortune, has bodyguards irl, and is part of a chaebol company, all the while bullying inside a military where your alleged victim is used as PR and surrounded with personal fans in uniform needs some serious psychiatric help for their self destructive tendency. JK, all of them, is generous and kind! Be nice and they will sign valuable autographs and buy you a meal, coffee and more. As a conscript, you don't upset someone cooking your meals, 😂. The military cannot afford to have a problem with BTS, not politically, not nationally, not internationally and not even militarily. Thank you so much for addressing the Jungkook rumors. I dismissed it at first, but then there were more videos from different creators and I started to get concerned. Some creators I know to avoid, but the amount of videos covering the rumor is ridiculous!
The number of videos increases because once the first one gets clicks, a whole bunch of channels basically copy the content, sometimes nearly identically. Don't pay attention or worry.

BTS can perfectly have a lengthy career like The Rolling Stones and Cold Play. Cold Play being their role model, as Jin so clearly commented. Family life doesn’t interfere Let’s remember that BTS members destroyed the practice of disbanding or forcing male artists to abandon their careers, just because they enlisted. Why not do the same with the abhorrent practice of not allowing artists to have a private life, get partners (whatever gender) and enjoy life as a whole BTS will continue to exist and the members would do solo work, as they started doing with Wings, again breaking with the practice of forcing a group member to leave their bands

Katseye Sophia is an amazing talent! Honestly, all of Katseye seem like Disney princesses to me. The level of vocals and dance in their group is astonishing, and their personalities genuinely sparkle. They feel like bffs already. I don't think many people would dispute that they're the strongest female vocalists in HYBE currently. Also their performance in MAMA 2024 with the LA Rams cheerleaders was my favorite of the evening. Definitely check that out if you haven't seen it!

Fans do NOT take advantage of reporting those videos on HYBE's new reporting site. The newest misleading video is that the Military Defense has moved Jungkook out of his unit because of the bullying. Fans don't understand that anything that happens in the military in South Korea is confidential. Not even HYBE can release that information.
Being skilled in martial arts might not be helpful in the military, where they must follow orders, and fighting back physically against a superior officer would cause nothing but trouble for them!

Jazz is iconic Americana with a strong following in Europe.V can become a mover and shaker of this genre.. Think the late great Al Jarreau. Lea would be an excellent pairing with V. I have been surprised at how it is RM that seems the most anxious about being in the military, misses Army, misses his brothers, and the music. As the leader, I felt he would move through the military seamlessly. Even JK says he realized how important the team is to him as a person and performer.
Considering all the chaos that's happening in South Korea now, I think it would just be naive to think that "our seven" are not having a difficult time or are in danger, now. They may even be getting bullied by jealous soldiers. It happens in the military, especially to guys that get called "pretty boys", and let's face it... they're IDOLS! I'm very nervous about Suga, too.
I think people don't know how to swift through false information. That take every article as gospel people can create all sorts of narratives, on Google, YT, all social media but it doesn't mean it's true.

Suga definitely is feeling lot of remorse but with the help of Army and members he can overcome it since he did nothing wrong. Since he wants to be a counsellor the whole experience tho painful and unnecessary it will make him stronger and help him in that journey. He’d make a great counsellor.

They don’t always give good analysis. Scooter Braun and Jungkook massive payola they ignore. They run with the narrative JK chose his own promo. He literally was handed song and told to sing n dance. All his promo etc will be sorted by Hybe America aka Scooter Boracity dragged Jisoo for YT ads but silent on JK’s.
I agree and I like Hybe Boy as well he always provides links to sources like Fairlane does and sense he speaks in both Korean & English he is able to give a better translation then the auto translation as well as some Korean nuance. I watch Seoulite tv too though he leans way more into the gossipy side and I prefer more fact centered approach, I do appreciate his Korean cultural insight.
Proud that my spotify unwrapped said BTS was my most listened to group and that i was in the top 1% of BTS listeners. Wahoo. Cool since I listened to 907 artists. RM recently posted that they are getting closer while in the military (weverse yesterday?) Also, I think the bullying was that military leadership in the camp was picking on JK and making him do more work and the crappy jobs or something like that, I haven't really been following. However, fighting won't work in this case, if it is true. But I ignore because there isn't any legit source for the news.
On 5 December ADOR filled to court, to certify that the contracts cannot be ended unilaterally by the idols. Also the former idols of NJ declared that they are upset with what the label is doing, cos they aren't anymore under ADOR and HYBE.
Jungkook is not someone anyone can mess with😂 How can anyone even believe such dramatic rumours?!😂 That guy not only has a blackbelt but also has professional level boxing skills approved by real pro boxers. He can singlehandedly overpower a whole military troop in that training center if he wanted😂 Not to mention Jungkook and Jimin went there together officially under buddy system. Even without ALL this, did people forget who Jeon Jungkook is?! SK government would burn if Jungkook or any BTS member got bullied/harmed in any way in the military. People will stop sending their kids to military if someone like JK got bullied there. SK government would make sure BTS stay unharmed in the military. Edit: I know military service in SK is Mandatory, not voluntary. I'm saying that from a Political point of view, SK Government has a lot to lose if anyone in BTS gets bullied/harmed in the military while training. They would do their best to keep BTS safe in the military.
Remember that JK is probably a little older than a lot of the guys in his unit (18-22), which also makes him less of a bullying target. There still is bullying in the military, but not sending your sons is not an option for South Koreans. It's a mandatory duty of citizenship and a response to the threat posed by by North Korea.
Just want to point out, people aren't sending their sons to the military because they want to, they HAVE to, it's mandatory, not voluntary. I think you are a bit mistaken about this part. People do get bullied in the military (which isn't okay, of course) and this is known, and yet they still HAVE to go. Avoiding the compulsory military service is punishable by law, and is also not viewed favourably by the public. Also, rank matters in the military, from what I understand, you can't just use force against someone of higher rank without consequence, even if it's in self-defence. That's not to say JK is a pushover in any way, whether physically or mentally, and Jimin who is also pretty darn tough is with him too. They can also still contact the other members (or anyone else) for advice or support whenever they get their phones or are on leave, so I trust they'll be alright.

My comment was to point out that bullying a huge celebrity in the military, who is considered to be part of their national pride, it would lead to a HUGE controversy among the general public bcz of safety issues. (I know bullying happens in the military. But this kind of news about such a Big celebrity would cause HUGE controversy for their Government.) Politically, any harm to BTS in the military would affect their Government very badly. That's why the guys are completely safe there.That's what I meant by my comment.
Yayyyy for the weekend. I'm playing catch up on some of the lives I missed. I made it safely to the city where I'm going to watch RMs documentary. I've unpacked my suitcase including snacks..... YES I'M CHANNELING JK. I packed snacks! 😄 I've been working so hard both at my job and on other BTS things that I decided to come down right after work and have a mini-weekend vacay and pamper myself in a hotel 2 nights. It's 32 degrees F but I was still sitting on the balcony and looking at the peaceful waterway... just wrapped up in my Jimin tattoo hoodie and a big fuzzy bathrobe. I know that might sound crazy but I lived in the arctic on the north coast of Alaska for 8 years so this isn't that bad to me. Looking forward to tonight's livestream and just catching up on things.
You don’t “let yourself get bullied.” The way you worded this makes it sound like it’s the victim’s fault if they are bullied. It’s been decades since I was bullied, and I also had a black belt and was the kind of person to stand up for myself, and none of that helped. I' ve already been wondering how come those several voices presenting themselves as (fraudulent) reporters of what's going on with BTS can (so safely) get away with it. I even reported and had blocked (for me) one of such "news", but I do not know whether such move can be in any way useful to BTS too.

Being a black American whose family is in the Jazz genre, your perspective is a bit off. He’s listed as Pop. He needs to classify himself as a Jazz or and R&B. Were very welcoming Hall&Oates, George Michael broke through on our charts before the Pop charts. If his music is classified as Jazz or new Jazz that’s how it’ll play JBZz or other NY Jazz stations or WBLS Jazz hour will play. U2 Angel of Harlem song played on BLS. He doesn’t have to be present. His music will speak for itself.
i actually believe the members will continue as BTS for many years, but after this comeback and tour in 2026 i think ot7 content will come out less often. i could see every couple years them doing something and it might not always be an album and tour. maybe it would be a new in the soop or a song and mv. of course no one can know for sure. i just really dont think we'll get 2 or 3 comebacks a year like they used to do. what i would actually love to see in the future would be an "unplugged" album and tour. MTV used to have a show that artists would come on and perform their hits or classics but do it totally unplugged. so real drums, real piano, acoustic guitars. nothing electronic. they could re-record a bunch of their classics that way. then do a paired down, relaxed, intimate tour. i think this would be a fantastic idea. a real personal show with them interacting more with the audience, telling stories, etc.

I think Jungkook is the strongest member, RM is the smartest, Suga is the pillar of the group because he produces and wrote a lot of BTS songs, RM is the backbone of the group because he was the leader. And being a leader is a big responsibility and so hard which he had been since he was eighteen, and Jhope is the most talented in them because he's one the ace in Kpop.

JK is not the strongest member of BTS.Rm is .RM had to endure a lot to become an elite soldier Which JK did not achieve.Aldo Teahyung achieve this You have to remember non of the members have ever been in a street fight, it's different.I remember years a ago a professional fighter was approached on the street and he said that the experience was different then being in the ring.

i believe it will open doors for them, hybe artists, and the kpop industry in general bts has been collabing with artists from different genres, both mainstream and indie the road is still quite long, but the boys aren't in a hurry cos they have army and all the people who believe in them

There's nothing for you to feel inferior about you have similar strengths and differing strengths and tbh I think the two of you are on par with each other you just have different ways that you deliver things to us which is brilliant.
Ok. Not to add to the bullying rumors, I appreciate all the reassurances that JK and Jimin would not stand for it, but what if it's a senior officer who is doing the bullying? They can't fight him. And it would likely be downplayed by higher up.
Don't think JK is a very bully-able person. Bullies can feel out who they can victimise and who they can't. It's far likelier that you'll meet an asshole senior officer who makes life difficult for everyone under him than to meet someone who singles someone out for bullying. And everyone knows who these people are, even the higher ups. Which means they'll continue to be assholes but stay on the right side of legal. And it's just one of the challenges in life that one has to tough out, which I'm sure JK (or the others) will be more than able to do. Try not to imagine scenarios and catastrophise, or imagine that any BTS member doesn't have the personal resources to face and overcome the challenge. It's unlikely to be true and will just make you go bonkers with all the 'what-ifs'. (this is also a useful life skill for accomplishing more!)

With regards to the JK bulkying incident in the army. This is not an issue that BTS would want to discuss. If there was an incident there would be huge ramifications for the army. I think BTS and HYBE would be aware of that and would not want a public big deal of it made. If an incident occurred involving seniors I doubt very much that they would not be severely reprimanded. As to the idea that JK would not allow himself to be bullied…Any division of the Armed Services is extremely Hierarchical so if any junior retaliated against any senior officer for whatever reason there would be repercussions right or wrong. JK would know that. That is the same for Armed Services worldwide. You just can’t hit a senior officer because you were bullied, you’d be in the brig so to speak. South Korea as well has a hierarchical structure. If it happened of course it was shocking and so wrong to bully him and I’m sure who he is inspired jealousy in some mean spirited people and especially a bully. We may never really know what happened and in some cases if it is not officially commented on it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. This is not a clear cut situation. There definitely are so many absurd rumors about BTS going around.
for the issue of bullying JK, i believe the rest of the soldiers will defend him and jimin against whoever dares to bully these bangtan men. THat bully will never see the light of day LOL. We in the international army and yes even k-army see bts only on stage or virtually. we don't have the privilege of living and interacting with them 24/7. but we know how strong jk and jimin are and what they are already capable of doing. But those young soldiers have the honor of getting to know the boys up close and personal, and everyone who has come in contact with them all agree that these are very special human beings and they are happy to be in their presence. So these soldiers know more than we fans do. and they already love BTS, even becoming Army while serving in the Army. We already know how kind, respectful and respectable and humble people BTS are, so anything that we hear about the tannies being maltreated or disrespected that DOES NOT come from bighit or the tannies themselves, are, to me, plain rubbish and will not engage with those content. TRUST only BTS.
Whenever I see posts that are clearly click bait, or spouting hate or misinformation, I report and block. I don't even click on it. Also, has anyone seen Jungkook and his boxing skills. He can also wrestle and he's a black belt. I remember the American Hustle life where they were having a dance battle and he got right up in one of their faces when they were intimidating either Jimin or J-Hope, I can't remember which. JK can hold his own.

Jimin has hands in all aspects of all his solo mv and live performances including in his solo works under BTS. Look at Suga’s trio mv they look like fun gangster films. I am saying this because V and Jungkook were discussed here as director and cinematographer. Both had absolutely no hand in their debut solo albums. And Winter Ahead was messy and nothing new. Lot of posing and V’s face. It’s not like RM’s creative new album directed mostly by Balming Tiger who are superb.

He said he left it all to the experts and he took what they gave him n said thank you. So… jazz in America is mostly old and white. R&B is barely Black anymore but has always been open to non-Black talents. Teena Marie, Michael McDonald etc. N’SYNC got radio play on Black stations before they got played on white stations when they were moving towards a more R&B sound. This is where you get the term Blue Eyed Soul. I love Taehyung’s voice but the music that he has put out so far is unfortunately… not… the right music shall we say to capture either the R&B market nor the Jazz market. It has nothing to do with him not being from the “right” group. It’s not about those genres being clique-ish. It’s the music plain and simple. I’m still hoping he uses the true soulfulness of his voice to create amazing music. If the songs sounded more like Singularity and less Bing Crosby, he’d have a better chance of success. Bing Crosby is an incredibly problematic pick.

His current music as it relates to the American genres of R&B and Jazz in the current American market are not the music that will garner much attention currently. Jk is not a pushover and those videos use old footage of Jimmy Fallon from the beginning of enlistment to pretend he talked about it so they are fake. Most people who like Taehung's style don't even know when he releases music because he promotes mostly to kpop. He would have more success if he promoted to his new music genres globally instead.

Jungkook has pro level boxing skills approved by professional boxers. Not to mention he's incredibly strong. But all these aren’t even needed! People really forgot BTS members are untouchable. SK government would burn if any of them get harmed in the military. These rumours are ridiculous!

Thanks . Jimin is the only black belter in taekwondo in BTS. He trained in kendo too and a bit in hapkido. He was the only student who received scholarships in his school to train in martial arts in China. That’s why he hard carries BTS choreography doing aerials n flips which made rookie BTS stand out from many other rookie kpop boy groups. Jungkook doesn’t have black belt. He hasn’t confirmed it anywhere. In fact Jin said he has one but he could be joking and I haven’t seen any evidence of him knowing taekwondo. Taekwondo is a national martial art of Korea and the South Korean military uses taekwondo as part of their combat programs. The Korean Ministry of National Defense (MND) organizes tours for U.S. military personnel to learn the basics of taekwondo and other self-defense techniques. I don’t think Jungkook is bullied as such but probably teased behind his back esp referring to lyrics in Seven. We forget he grew up quite isolated from his age group in a tight cloistered environment of BTS where he was babied and loved. I don’t think he had school friends because he became idol as a young teen and was also shy. Unlike the older members who had been in normal high school and didn’t become trainees until as older teens. So Jungkook may appear awkward for younger trainees. Jimin is there too who seem to be loved and with the authority he has gained as special warrior and top trainee he can support Jungkook. Jimin anyway is the emotional support for all BTS members. Without Jimin it would have been difficult for all members. And for enlistment Jungkook probably chose Jimin as buddy as he relies on him for moral support since they were kids. When Jimin was busy with his first album n couldn’t give Jungkook much time see what happened in his live. He was not doing too good. Whenever Jimin checked on him during those lives Jungkook was very happy. Jimin n J Hope really monitored Jungkook in those lives and in crucial live when Jungkook nearly cried they had to ask RM to intervene because Jimin was in US abd J Hope at his farewell party pre enlistment. RM and V tried to intervene but they weren’t v effective. I think Jimin has calming affect on Jungkook and V. All members said Jimin is the one they go to when they are stressed and need to vent. In BTS, Jimin and J Hope are the most socially adept members. They are people persons. They are sociable and easily make friends. They have natural leadership qualities too which shows even in military. Many may not know Jimin was very popular in school and was elected class President 9 years in a row. Jimin and J Hope people in real life seem to like. Jin is a fun guy for Army but I think he is bit eccentric and his quirks may not be everyone’s taste in real life. But because he is loud and have big personality he will be less picked on. He and J Hope did really well in the military as assistant instructors but I heard more about J Hope from trainees re his kindness and friendliness than about Jin. Jimin and J Hope’s generosity even in military seem to be talked about most. They are also the biggest charity donors in BTS. I haven’t heard RM, V and Jungkook buying food for their unit. Jin heard but not as much as J Hope. Suga is third generous member but he doesn’t live in barracks. Suga I feel really bad about. He did absolutely nothing wrong. He just wanted to quietly complete his service. It’s unfortunate such thing happened, it was like they were waiting for BTS member to slip so they can create a huge non scandal out of it to cover up any real scandal by the government. They literally pounced on him! I want this ruthless mean journalists to bow to Suga and apologise for blowing it out of proportion. S Korea media, kpoppies and k nets are responsible for untimely passing away of many celebrities. Fortunately Suga has no family n kids otherwise he’d feel really rotten too like that sad case of Parasite actor. He must be agonising over it daily for letting members and Army down but actually he didn’t.

He's also the one who did KCTC training, the hardest training in the SK military, he's now a senior in the brain artillery department. Jimin is doing more than well, and can hold his own against anyone. I'm sure JK is doing great as well but Jimin is the last member who needs anyone's protection.

Re V’s Winter Ahead I wasn’t that keen on his vocals and the mv itself. The mv was old fashion and tired like I’ve seen such imagery and style. Clearly he has a thing for European architecture/ aesthetic and white girls which isn’t bad but there is a running theme. Layover songs were better creatively n cooler probably because of Min Hee Jin touch. One can’t deny she has cool creatives working with her. I like jazz but not this one. I like both his ost, Christmas Tree, Friends and the way he performed Stigma. His Singularity hasn’t aged well like Jungkook’s Euphoria live performance. They both look dated. V’s performance are hit and miss and not consistent. His jazz voice is boring and monotonous. He needs to explore different way of singing. RM did better job in jazz in his new album. V can collab with Jon Baptisre his friend who is a big name and Grammy beloved. As potential actors I think best are J Hope, Suga and Jimin. I know V and Jin are the “actors” of BtS but they aren’t natural and act the same way. V relies too much on his face with same expression. Watch J Hope in Lollapalooza. The way he expresses while singing is mesmerising. He is a born actor. Watch Suga D Day concerts the stage charisma and performance acting was so good and big.

No spoilers since I saw RM’s documentary last night- but my opinion is that RM went through a healthy effort to create an album that allowed him to share his raw self - something authentic. From the Festa dinner where they announced their “break” and his subsequent lives (more than the documentary) you could tell he was struggling to emerge from the K-pop identity as he was originally a rapper and BTS was going to be a HipHop group, and share himself before the military started. Once in the military and after RPWP was released and so well received, he seemed to go from content (finally) to happy (big smiles when performing Spring Day with military band) to genuinely missing BTS and ARMY (last Weverse post). I think the solo era was really good and healthy. They found out ARMY is never leaving. They explored their own musical genres and discovered what they could do individually as well as in the group. I think they are going to come back as a tighter group than when they took a break.

They needed to find themselves again, independently from the group, as they had matured, changed, endured, grown. We all need to reassess our present reality, whether old goals are still valid and where to from now. Working as a unit involved at times letting go of personal interests and projects. Not only is that need fulfilled but now they can bring back those experiences, contacts and fan back to the group. It was a very healthy break, allowing them also to experience a different life and live alongside people they would otherwise never meet. They will hopefully rebuild a synergy with each a stronger link than ever... and new ideas!
It will be wonderful to see them stronger together, more mature, and with m ore personal insight into their individual personalities. It will be amazing to watch.
Powerful lol Jimin and J Hope are already close to all members (during Covid they got closer Suga said and Jimin saw some members were building walls before that) it was RM who is mostly aloof and not close to other members except Jimin and J Hope. He trusts and loves Jimin the most out of all adults he has met as an idol. He prob had enough of communal living in military (like Jin and Suga he needs most personal space) and is not the most affable (tho optimistic) fellow. Despite his lofty lyrics he’s not the warmest and most altruistic. Also not a natural leader like Jimin and J Hope. He was thrust with leadership and wouldn’t have coped as a leader without the help and pastoral care given by Jimin and J Hope to all members enabling him to lead comfortably without having to hold hands of each member when they were in need. Smal but significant example: when Suga had two operations where was RM? It was Jimin on both counts. Army look up to him as the dad (fitting as someone who speaks on behalf of family tho not privy to their emotional life) but actually it’s the mom doing all the hard work silently to maintain the emotional balance and harmony of the family. I hate the binary analogies. Jimin and J Hope are the nurturers. Tho Jin helped with cooking he isn’t the one you go to for stress relief as all members showed early on. Another small example: when RM was anxious during pandemic and halting of concerts etc J Hope told him “at least we have jobs”. That’s why I love J Hope, ever the humanitarian like Jimin.
2025 is going to be interesting. Lots of new dynamics due to the new uneven success of each of their solo careers. And ms experiences. Jimin is the biggest advicate of BTS continuing from the start when some members were fatigued wanted a break a solo adventures. Now all are on sane page. Hope Suga is going to be back stronger than ever.
Perhaps RM need to handover his leadership to some other member if he is tired like he said in Minimoni. And be free to be part of just helming the creative process (tho Balming Tiger was a huge part of his new album ) of post ms BTS who is not chart kings but more critically acclaimed BTS which they have never been considered. With Indigo and RPWP he effectively wiped the English songs BTS reputation he agonised so much about pre hiatus. RM is after glory for himself (rightfully) not mainstream pop (he can’t do it anyway unless if it’s Closer n it’s stiff competition) and he should now seek it for BTS too.

It's always been known that publicly that RM is the leader, behind the scenes it's Jin and JHope.
Just because RM wasn't cuddly to begin with doesn't mean he didn't learn to be more.
All the members have stated that RM is their foundation. Their place of safety and the person whom will advise with depth.

One must remember they are in the military a completely different environment. If a soldier raises his hand to an officer senior in rank he is in serious trouble no doesn't matter what the provocation. Bullies thrive in this environment As a 75 yr old South African I lived through the conscription of all our young men and what was done to them by their battle hardened superiors who were supposed to protect them. My husband told me he was more afraid of some of the members of his own unit than he was of the enemy, and he was more than capable of protecting himself. I believe that JK is mature enough to realize what Armies would do to anyone who hurt him, and he would never inflict that on anyone. As you said there are some things that people, including our boys would prefer to keep quiet about, and those of us who really love them should respect that. Let us petition what ever deity we believe in to protect them sothat their spirit is never broken and the joy we see in their eyes never fades.

The military cannot afford to have a problem with BTS, not politically, not nationally, not internationally and not even militarily. The number of videos increases because once the first one gets clicks, a whole bunch of channels basically copy the content, sometimes nearly identically. Don't pay attention or worry.

Let’s remember that BTS members destroyed the practice of disbanding or forcing male artists to abandon their careers, just because they enlisted. Why not do the same with the abhorrent practice of not allowing artists to have a private life, get partners (whatever gender) and enjoy life as a whole

Katseye Sophia is an amazing talent! Honestly, all of Katseye seem like Disney princesses to me. The level of vocals and dance in their group is astonishing, and their personalities genuinely sparkle. They feel like bffs already. I don't think many people would dispute that they're the strongest female vocalists in HYBE currently. Also their performance in MAMA 2024 with the LA Rams cheerleaders was my favorite of the evening. Definitely check that out if you haven't seen it!

I have been surprised at how it is RM that seems the most anxious about being in the military, misses Army, misses his brothers, and the music. As the leader, I felt he would move through the military seamlessly. Even JK says he realized how important the team is to him as a person and performer.

Considering all the chaos that's happening in South Korea now, I think it would just be naive to think that "our seven" are not having a difficult time or are in danger, now. They may even be getting bullied by jealous soldiers. It happens in the military, especially to guys that get called "pretty boys", and let's face it... they're IDOLS! I'm very nervous about Suga, too.
I think people don't know how to swift through false information. That take every article as gospel people can create all sorts of narratives, on Google, YT, all social media but it doesn't mean it's true.

Edit: I know military service in SK is Mandatory, not voluntary. I'm saying that from a Political point of view, SK Government has a lot to lose if anyone in BTS gets bullied/harmed in the military while training. They would do their best to keep BTS safe in the military.
Remember that JK is probably a little older than a lot of the guys in his unit (18-22), which also makes him less of a bullying target.
There still is bullying in the military, but not sending your sons is not an option for South Koreans. It's a mandatory duty of citizenship and a response to the threat posed by by North Korea.

Just want to point out, people aren't sending their sons to the military because they want to, they HAVE to, it's mandatory, not voluntary. I think you are a bit mistaken about this part. People do get bullied in the military (which isn't okay, of course) and this is known, and yet they still HAVE to go. Avoiding the compulsory military service is punishable by law, and is also not viewed favourably by the public.
Also, rank matters in the military, from what I understand, you can't just use force against someone of higher rank without consequence, even if it's in self-defence.
That's not to say JK is a pushover in any way, whether physically or mentally, and Jimin who is also pretty darn tough is with him too. They can also still contact the other members (or anyone else) for advice or support whenever they get their phones or are on leave, so I trust they'll be alright.

Yayyyy for the weekend. I'm playing catch up on some of the lives I missed. I made it safely to the city where I'm going to watch RMs documentary. I've unpacked my suitcase including snacks..... YES I'M CHANNELING JK. I packed snacks! 😄 I've been working so hard both at my job and on other BTS things that I decided to come down right after work and have a mini-weekend vacay and pamper myself in a hotel 2 nights. It's 32 degrees F but I was still sitting on the balcony and looking at the peaceful waterway... just wrapped up in my Jimin tattoo hoodie and a big fuzzy bathrobe. I know that might sound crazy but I lived in the arctic on the north coast of Alaska for 8 years so this isn't that bad to me. Looking forward to tonight's livestream and just catching up on things.

i actually believe the members will continue as BTS for many years, but after this comeback and tour in 2026 i think ot7 content will come out less often. i could see every couple years them doing something and it might not always be an album and tour. maybe it would be a new in the soop or a song and mv. of course no one can know for sure. i just really dont think we'll get 2 or 3 comebacks a year like they used to do.
what i would actually love to see in the future would be an "unplugged" album and tour. MTV used to have a show that artists would come on and perform their hits or classics but do it totally unplugged. so real drums, real piano, acoustic guitars. nothing electronic. they could re-record a bunch of their classics that way. then do a paired down, relaxed, intimate tour. i think this would be a fantastic idea. a real personal show with them interacting more with the audience, telling stories, etc.

There's nothing for you to feel inferior about you have similar strengths and differing strengths and tbh I think the two of you are on par with each other you just have different ways that you deliver things to us which is brilliant.
Ok. Not to add to the bullying rumors, I appreciate all the reassurances that JK and Jimin would not stand for it, but what if it's a senior officer who is doing the bullying? They can't fight him. And it would likely be downplayed by higher up.
Don't think JK is a very bully-able person. Bullies can feel out who they can victimise and who they can't. It's far likelier that you'll meet an asshole senior officer who makes life difficult for everyone under him than to meet someone who singles someone out for bullying. And everyone knows who these people are, even the higher ups. Which means they'll continue to be assholes but stay on the right side of legal. And it's just one of the challenges in life that one has to tough out, which I'm sure JK (or the others) will be more than able to do. Try not to imagine scenarios and catastrophise, or imagine that any BTS member doesn't have the personal resources to face and overcome the challenge. It's unlikely to be true and will just make you go bonkers with all the 'what-ifs'. (this is also a useful life skill for accomplishing more!)

With regards to the JK bulkying incident in the army. This is not an issue that BTS would want to discuss. If there was an incident there would be huge ramifications for the army. I think BTS and HYBE would be aware of that and would not want a public big deal of it made. If an incident occurred involving seniors I doubt very much that they would not be severely reprimanded. As to the idea that JK would not allow himself to be bullied…Any division of the Armed Services is extremely Hierarchical so if any junior retaliated against any senior officer for whatever reason there would be repercussions right or wrong. JK would know that. That is the same for Armed Services worldwide. You just can’t hit a senior officer because you were bullied, you’d be in the brig so to speak. South Korea as well has a hierarchical structure.
If it happened of course it was shocking and so wrong to bully him and I’m sure who he is inspired jealousy in some mean spirited people and especially a bully.
We may never really know what happened and in some cases if it is not officially commented on it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. This is not a clear cut situation. There definitely are so many absurd rumors about BTS going around.

We in the international army and yes even k-army see bts only on stage or virtually. we don't have the privilege of living and interacting with them 24/7. but we know how strong jk and jimin are and what they are already capable of doing. But those young soldiers have the honor of getting to know the boys up close and personal, and everyone who has come in contact with them all agree that these are very special human beings and they are happy to be in their presence. So these soldiers know more than we fans do. and they already love BTS, even becoming Army while serving in the Army. We already know how kind, respectful and respectable and humble people BTS are, so anything that we hear about the tannies being maltreated or disrespected that DOES NOT come from bighit or the tannies themselves, are, to me, plain rubbish and will not engage with those content.

He can also wrestle and he's a black belt. I think J Hope, Suga and Jimin can make great directors. Jimin has hands in all aspects of all his solo mv and live performances including in his solo works under BTS. Look at Suga’s trio mv they look like fun gangster films.
I am saying this because V and Jungkook were discussed here as director and cinematographer. Both had absolutely no hand in their debut solo albums. And Winter Ahead was messy and nothing new. Lot of posing and V’s face. It’s not like RM’s creative new album directed mostly by Balming Tiger who are superb.

He may have some technical experience behind the camera (Life goes on and GCF clips aren’t Set me Free pr2 and Who) but that’s not hard to learn and Jimin is a fast learner too. Jimin literally thought and designed most of his stages and choreography of his solo works. . If you can manage you probably should watch behind the scene of Jimin’s solo works. And production documentary for his first solo debut album FACE.

So… jazz in America is mostly old and white. R&B is barely Black anymore but has always been open to non-Black talents. Teena Marie, Michael McDonald etc. N’SYNC got radio play on Black stations before they got played on white stations when they were moving towards a more R&B sound. This is where you get the term Blue Eyed Soul. I love Taehyung’s voice but the music that he has put out so far is unfortunately… not… the right music shall we say to capture either the R&B market nor the Jazz market. It has nothing to do with him not being from the “right” group. It’s not about those genres being clique-ish. It’s the music plain and simple. I’m still hoping he uses the true soulfulness of his voice to create amazing music. If the songs sounded more like Singularity and less Bing Crosby, he’d have a better chance of success. Bing Crosby is an incredibly problematic pick.

Thanks . Jimin is the only black belter in taekwondo in BTS. He trained in kendo too and a bit in hapkido. He was the only student who received scholarships in his school to train in martial arts in China. That’s why he hard carries BTS choreography doing aerials n flips which made rookie BTS stand out from many other rookie kpop boy groups.
Jungkook doesn’t have black belt. He hasn’t confirmed it anywhere. In fact Jin said he has one but he could be joking and I haven’t seen any evidence of him knowing taekwondo.

I don’t think Jungkook is bullied as such but probably teased behind his back esp referring to lyrics in Seven. We forget he grew up quite isolated from his age group in a tight cloistered environment of BTS where he was babied and loved. I don’t think he had school friends because he became idol as a young teen and was also shy. Unlike the older members who had been in normal high school and didn’t become trainees until as older teens. So Jungkook may appear awkward for younger trainees. Jimin is there too who seem to be loved and with the authority he has gained as special warrior and top trainee he can support Jungkook. Jimin anyway is the emotional support for all BTS members. Without Jimin it would have been difficult for all members. And for enlistment Jungkook probably chose Jimin as buddy as he relies on him for moral support since they were kids. When Jimin was busy with his first album n couldn’t give Jungkook much time see what happened in his live. He was not doing too good. Whenever Jimin checked on him during those lives Jungkook was very happy. Jimin n J Hope really monitored Jungkook in those lives and in crucial live when Jungkook nearly cried they had to ask RM to intervene because Jimin was in US abd J Hope at his farewell party pre enlistment. RM and V tried to intervene but they weren’t v effective. I think Jimin has calming affect on Jungkook and V. All members said Jimin is the one they go to when they are stressed and need to vent.
In BTS, Jimin and J Hope are the most socially adept members. They are people persons. They are sociable and easily make friends. They have natural leadership qualities too which shows even in military. Many may not know Jimin was very popular in school and was elected class President 9 years in a row. Jimin and J Hope people in real life seem to like. Jin is a fun guy for Army but I think he is bit eccentric and his quirks may not be everyone’s taste in real life. But because he is loud and have big personality he will be less picked on. He and J Hope did really well in the military as assistant instructors but I heard more about J Hope from trainees re his kindness and friendliness than about Jin.
Jimin and J Hope’s generosity even in military seem to be talked about most. They are also the biggest charity donors in BTS. I haven’t heard RM, V and Jungkook buying food for their unit. Jin heard but not as much as J Hope. Suga is third generous member but he doesn’t live in barracks.
Suga I feel really bad about. He did absolutely nothing wrong. He just wanted to quietly complete his service. It’s unfortunate such thing happened, it was like they were waiting for BTS member to slip so they can create a huge non scandal out of it to cover up any real scandal by the government. They literally pounced on him! I want this ruthless mean journalists to bow to Suga and apologise for blowing it out of proportion. S Korea media, kpoppies and k nets are responsible for untimely passing away of many celebrities. Fortunately Suga has no family n kids otherwise he’d feel really rotten too like that sad case of Parasite actor. He must be agonising over it daily for letting members and Army down but actually he didn’t.
Jk is also a black belter and even jin... these martial arts is of no use in ms with seniors and superiors... hierarchy matters and position and status matters... jm's martial arts is useless unless they are fight enemies and that too nowadays its weapons and not physical combat... there is no use trying to tout jm 's martial arts here... he is the one who wanted a buddy to go to ms... internal strength is more useful...

He's also the one who did KCTC training, the hardest training in the SK military, he's now a senior in the brain artillery department. Jimin is doing more than well, and can hold his own against anyone. I'm sure JK is doing great as well but Jimin is the last member who needs anyone's protection.

Re V’s Winter Ahead I wasn’t that keen on his vocals and the mv itself. The mv was old fashion and tired like I’ve seen such imagery and style. Clearly he has a thing for European architecture/ aesthetic and white girls which isn’t bad but there is a running theme. Layover songs were better creatively n cooler probably because of Min Hee Jin touch. One can’t deny she has cool creatives working with her.
I like jazz but not this one. I like both his ost, Christmas Tree, Friends and the way he performed Stigma. His Singularity hasn’t aged well like Jungkook’s Euphoria live performance. They both look dated.
V’s performance are hit and miss and not consistent. His jazz voice is boring and monotonous. He needs to explore different way of singing. RM did better job in jazz in his new album.
V can collab with Jon Baptisre his friend who is a big name and Grammy beloved.
As potential actors I think best are J Hope, Suga and Jimin. I know V and Jin are the “actors” of BtS but they aren’t natural and act the same way. V relies too much on his face with same expression.
Watch J Hope in Lollapalooza. The way he expresses while singing is mesmerising. He is a born actor. Watch Suga D Day concerts the stage charisma and performance acting was so good and big.
