It's not company's fault.. you pay them and they pay the same to airline if airline is not refunding then it's not cheapoair fault.. however most of the airline is only providing you travel credit for future travel in this pandemic in case of cancellation.. As per my experience, it is always good to book with airline directly.. use cheapoair to check the prices and then book the same directly from airline but even airline nowadays will give you trouble..
Never use these guys! They are scammers. They are still not giving back refunds and they are good at delaying you in canceling your ticket until your flight leaves. They will say you did a no show 😳!!! PLEASE AVOID THEM LIKE TGE PLAGUE!! They will take all your money and frustrate you with endless call with no resolution and the travel insurance isn’t even valid. PLEASE BOOK DIRECTLY WITH YOUR FLIGHT. That’s what I’ll be doing from now on.
Facing exact same challenges and it’s so frustrating. I booked a flight through them and noticed the flight doesn’t let you have a carry on. I asked them to cancel and rebook another since I’m traveling with my daughter (8 yr old). The cancelled and now telling me 30 to 60 days for refund. Over $3k

They said no flight to Thainad and your credit will expired in the end of this year. I files complaint to DOT, BBB. email to congressman. Clark Howard. also email to Hongkong airlines . The airline answer back they said will take sometimes for any actions to be taken. I need my refund $2608 . What's else can we do about Cheapoair.?

One of their agents tricked me into requesting a refund of $2400 (my flights cost $2656 (an economy class round trip ticket to India for one person!!) and the airline canceled the flight due to Covid, I didn’t) . I just got an email that they issued only $1300 refund. So I’m losing over $1500. Their own email says that the airline price was $1314 and the rest ($1236) was under “cheapoair and other payments” which is non refundable.

I've been spending a lot of money on calls and just as you said, i've been put on hold for hours. I've been recording all the conversation with the customer agents, but i don't know how and who to talk to for getting my money back. This is disgusting!

I was so excited this was my first major foreign vacation. I Was going to celebrate my 21st birthday with some friends. By far the biggest regret I’ve ever made. From late March to August they were completely unreachable by phone! When I mean completely unreachable, you had a better chance of God answering your prayers. Also I won’t to make note I purchased travelers insurance as well so in case of something popped up I could be issued my full refund! Well here we’re in late September and my refund has been in process for the last 7 months. They keep telling me they’re still waiting on the Airline to issue me my refund. Scandinavian Airlines has already started issuing refunds! So what the hell is going on where’s my money. Received a voicemail two days ago stating I’m not eligible for a refund only credit?! Wtf do they mean I’m not qualified?! Not only do I qualify, it’s my damn right I Purchased not only the ticket but insurance as well. You can’t even understand the customer team they barely speak English being completely honest. Now today they called me again saying they’re still working on my refund? Which is it a credit or refund! I’m so ready to file a lawsuit! I’ve been going through so much stress going back and forth with those clowns. You have no idea my level of frustration. By the time they have an answer I’ll be dead & gone. What they’re doing to us Hard working American people is sad and disgusting. I pray they go out of business and BROKE! Just got off the phone with this company. I was charged $220.00 more than I was quoted. They refused to refund the over charges. Not sure what this company is doing is even legal. Will have to have credit card company deny the charge.
We have received an update from this consumer: "CheapoAir has informed us that as a goodwill gesture, they will Only refund us $300 out of our $1471 payment and the rest would Be a credit with them only if we fly the exact same itinerary on United airlines from Newark to Rome before Sept 3rd, 2020. Getting the same exact itinerary will of course be near impossible and so we will essentially lose the rest of our money. This is unacceptable and unethical."
