Your content is unmatched Brett. Thank you for your time and dedication to the game of football.
I've been coaching and playing my entire life and your analysis is always spot on. The way you dissect and explain the situations and techniques can be absorb by any level of football watchers. Again, THANK YOU.
Facts
Well said, Pat
His analysis isn't always spot on, especially when he dissects prospects. However he's a great youtuber whose input on football is very valuable. He's also been an MVP at making extremely interesting videos on football subjects that can be droll at times. Glad I subscribed.
Sean is way too smart to let this end their season
Moe Lester yep
I mean they have only won 1 Super Bowl in their years together so I wouldn’t say that...
Deon Hollins yeah but that’s never been because of the offense.
You are absolutely correct. I have more faith in Payton adapting then Garrett sustaining this success
Travis not really. The saints playoff offensive performances consistently underwhelm in comparison with the regular season. Secondly Payton has to realize pass happy offenses with zone running blocking schemes struggle in January.
Can the packers sign Brett kollman as the new head coach
TopSports I was just about to comment that 😂
That’s it we could do that 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Also for the Browns, he will beat out Condoleesa Rice
Being a HC is brutal. Imagine telling a whole bunch of playera that worked their asses off in the off-season they're out of a job. Especially players you're fond of. It sucks the life out of you. Not to mention taking the blame if plays aren't executing because of personnel, suffering injuries, working through the growing pains of young players, fans growing impatient, etc. This is a very tough league loaded with the best of the best. Hell the Saints were really struggling before that draft that got them Lattimore, Williams, that RT whose last name I can't spell, and Kamara.
Packers suck balls, Bear Down!
Wow these numbers shocked me. The man does his research 👌🏽
Trust me they shocked me too lol
Dallas revealed a way to stop the Saints, the issue is that not many teams have the personnel to get it done. I'm sure the Saints won't be putting up wonky scores for the rest of the season, but not many teams have the pieces to beat them. It may be an issue in the playoffs if they rematch the Rams or play the Bears or Vikings. Any other team is going to have to bank on a shootout win or forcing turnovers
Not really sean payton beat saints with bad coaching and poor decisions and Dallas took advantage. As bad as saints played 13-10 was the score with brees throwing a throw away interception.
Dallas didn't reveal anything.
The Buccaneers beat the Saints already.
😂😂😂😂
@@amarirasheed6 It was not the same thing!!
Yea. Let them play 3 games in 11 days. Throw them off rhythm, and injuries..plus have garbage refs that don’t allow DBs to get near while having Dallas grab each receiver long enough for Brees to get pressured. Easy.
@@DB-qc9br cowboys played 3 games in 11 days too...
Analyze how the Seahawks rebuilded the Team, on the Fly
Russell Wilson doing Russell Wilson things
Johannes Traunthaler yeah, Seattle lost tons of all pro defensive talent, and they’re top 10 in several categories, oh, and one of the worst run games last year is suddenly gashing defenses left right and center
Jayce Taskey I‘m a huge wilson fan, but i don‘t think it‘s only him this year. They did a great job going back to the fundamentals in the offense. Especially the o-line and the defense is way better this year without big additions.
Mike Solari.
"Rebuilded"
I believe Sean Peyton and Drew Brees will change their game plan. The year they won that super bowl, they lost three games to end the regular season then went undefeated in the playoffs. The 85 Bears lost a Monday night matchup against Marino's Dolphins and went undefeated from there to win the SB. Brady's Pats went 18-0 before losing to the worst team to ever win a ring in history. Every team that dominates the league needs at least one loss to check their head and push them to play better. I think that the Cowboys just helped out the Saint's franchise more than you know. If Peyton and Brees revise their game plan and crush every opponent the next few weeks, and we see them in the NFC championship, you'll know that this was the defeat they needed to get their heads screwed on right.
(Not a Saints fan btw. I hate seeing so many good teams in a year my Chargers actually had a shot at the ring.)
U have to be undefeated to win the Superbowl just saying
G.M. Carby uhh what?
@@DB-qc9br you have to be undefeated in the playoffs to win the SB. thats what carby is saying.

The Giants were the worst team to win a super bowl? Look at their stats again and look at who they had to beat to get to the super bowl.
3 teams from their division made the playoffs and the worst team in their division(Philly) went 8-8. They had a god tier division that year.
They were 2nd in the league in rushing.
In the playoffs, their defense held the number 3 offense(Cowboys) to 17 points, they held the number 2 offense(Packers) to 20 points, and they held one of the best offenses of all time(Patriots) to 14 points.
Essentially, the Giants were that year what the Cowboys are this year, or what the Bears were in 85, or the Ravens in 2000. Aka run the ball with short passes mixed in there and let your defense win the game.
Furthermore, the 2000 Ravens had a much worse team. Yeah their defense was stacked, but that Giants D was, too; however, the Giants had a somewhat competent offense.. the Ravens offense was dogshit.
TL;DR The Giants were a good team with a great resume that year. Anyone who thinks they were awful clearly doesnt know analytics or facts.
Didn’t the cowboys also stop the chiefs last year?
Alex Cho yes
Mahomes wasnt even playing last year
@@shandonrolle5589 I know but, the Chiefs were still explosive.
The Giants did too, but with Mahomes now they're way better than last year
We beat them on their slide we were the second team to win on it so they were still decent put they weren’t great. It really wasn’t the same.
Love your videos, so informative and entertaining. Thanks!
Love your videos was really into football early in highschool won pools at my dad's work all the time but stop paying as much attention your videos help and are really useful keep up the work
Great video and great research my guy. Big thumbs up 👍🏾👍🏾
Who would have thought at least you can back this up man nice video
Outstanding video as always Brett.
Your videos are truely amazing. Greeting from germany happy to know such a great nfl channel
Brilliant breakdown as always Brett. Great video
wow, incredible analysis! just subbed, this is high quality content.
You are on fire with your picks right now !
That new "The Film Room" logo is sick!! You're really coming into your own as content creator and dominating the football analysis community.
I’m really impressed the way this video was put together, you got my subscribe!
great vid as always Brett. ur killin it out here
Once again, a great video Brett! I like that you use data correctly instead of mindlessly pointing out statistics as if that proves anything.
Awesome video!!!
Brett’s content is honestly ridiculous. His analysis always shines through but his editing has improved even more. Got to be the best football channel on UA-cam
Great video 👍
Been waiting for this one ..
You know brett ive gotten on your case a lot over time for your many high profile misses on guys especially QBs but you are one incredible film guru. You can see little minute trends, tendencies no one else notices and minor tells teams give off no other analyst would even think to look for. Your ability to really breakdown things at their most basic level and get down to the nitty gritty is uncanny. If I were running a team you’d be my first hire as a weekly game planner/play acquisition specialist. I get on you because I care. I know you have huge potential and I think a little nudge here and there keeps you hungry and eliminates complacency. Youre a really smart guy and have a huge future ahead of you.
Your content is great. Found you out of nowhere.
Great video this was a very interesting perspective
Dude so happy I stumbled upon u..ur really good thanks for ur work
As usual, an incredibly detailed and informative video. Thank you Brett for the weekly content, you have strengthened my understanding of the game immensely. (Also; HOW are you not working for the NFL as an analyst??)
Great analysis,man!
I'm leraning a lot.
Thanks
Another great video Brett! I appreciate so much you feeding my football strategic hunger
I love how you always end the video with a sick one liner
Gonna have to make one about the Bears domination of the Rams Offense now Brett !
Great video
Really good video Brett, your content never disappoints, what would you recommend as good reliable football content besides your videos.
That Odesza throw in at the end was incredible
Great vid as always Brett. This cowboys performance made such a startling impression on me. Never enjoyed watching the coyboys, even during the dominant Dak Zeke rookie season, but in 1 week this team managed to turn around my opinion of them. Interesting team
I am sure Payton and Brees will watch this film and will start to spread the ball around more on 3rd down. Brees has already shown he knows how to do this by throwing td's top a multitude of receivers. I actually think Payton recognized this problem long before the Cowboys game and that was why he was so adamant in trying to get another playmaker on offence (Dez). Payton and brees are intelligent enough to overcome this problem but it does expose a weakness in the saints offence.
the problem has honestly been their since last year. Even with ginn, whos now on ir, the wr depth is awful tbh on the saints. If micheal thomas or kamara goes down, we can be in big trouble, in terms of our sb hopes.
This is a phenomenal video.
Amazing video
I liked this insightful breakdown. The 10 game win streak played a hand into "predictability" weakness too. Having a third option other than Thomas and Kamara was something Sean saw some time ago which is why they made the move for Dez and then turning into Brandon Marshall. Against good defenses like this is where they miss Ted Ginn to help with taking off the top and having another receiver that Brees will trust. When there's pressure he goes to guys he trusts.
I like the point you made about the Saints having a ball control offense but because of the scores it gives off the look of an explosive offense.
It hurts to hear what you’re saying about my saints, but this video is so well researched and executed. You get a thumbs up
Proud patreon supporter for videos like this
Beautiful job breaking that game down as a lifelong eagles fan I watched every snap of this game to see what we were looking at and dallas as a defense that will trouble alot of teams
This was an amazing video! I had no idea the Saints were such a 2 dimensional offense. With that said I think Brees and Payton will be able to figure it out. Keep up the good work, Brett! 👍
This was another great film room from the 🐐. Next: How the referees can expose an NFL team's game plan.
BEST FILM BREAKDOWNS PERIOD
"The Cowboys just broke that shit" youre too funny!!! I love your channel. Keep up the great videos 👍
I look at what they were doing on the d line and think thats more underrated than even their fantastic man coverage matchups. They took advantage of each linemans weaknesses, and had creative twists and line games to really break the passblocking of the sainta
As a Seahawks fan, I'll tell you how they did it in two words... Kris Richard.
Bro this video reminds of the one you did last year on Dallas giving the blue print to stop KC's offense. Incredible how Marinelli seems to always sneak one huge trend setting performance by his D for the rest of the league to see.
Synopsis: Brees and Payton coached/played down tremendously to their competition and didn’t take them seriously until the game had already gotten out of hand. Sold out their defense which played great and also ruined a potential 15-1 season. Great video Brett.
Out of fantasy football playoffs and drowning my sorrows in Brett Kollmann videos.
14:08 best part of the vid. Good stuff keep it up
Great breakdown of the game.
Epic narrative!
As bad as I hated this game your unbiased breakdown gave me clarity of what I thought I was seeing. Thank you for that. And you are correct, the saints for a few games turned into what every media organization said they were. But something about that game was strange. Why didnt the HOF goat QB and HOF mastermind coach change the scheme? I mean after a quarter or two not moving they usually come up with something and it changes things. That cowboy game they did not change a thing...what stopped them from adapting like they do every week? Greed? Ego? Proving a point?
Theory what if sean payton did that on purpose?! Stick to the same two guys no matter what...what was he trying to do with that? Maybe set something up for late season? Get attention focused on those 2 to free up the other guys there. I mean Ingram didnt even break a sweat that game. It's just all a little to weird.
Brett how do you make your outros so chilling and good and can you do a game film on why the Panthers can’t generate enough pressure as they usually do on defense or how can the Ron Rivera can the right adjustments to make the secondary even better
Or do a game film on why Yannick Ngakoue is a resilient pass rusher even though he has 7.0 sacks now he’s still an amazing pass rusher
Tre'Quan thanks you for this video. He's showing it to Sean
"Either they adapt or they die" Lol I felt that. My defense did work. I'm so proud.
BEAUTIFUL
Hey Brett. I’m not sure if you looked at tape from any other saints game this year, but other teams such as the Falcons (thanksgiving game) and the Eagles gameplanned similarly where they chose to double up Thomas and Kamara. However, in those games, Brees targeted other receivers. Four UDFA’s caught touchdowns against the falcons on thanksgiving night. Thomas still had a touchdown against eagles because eagles secondary was decimated and not as talented as the cowboys, so their plan didn’t work. I’m not sure why brees didn’t target other receivers as much last week, but it might also have to do with the fact that the saints played their 3rd games in 11 days and didn’t have much time to rest. Armstead’s lack of presence was noticeable and since brees was constantly under pressure, he didn’t have enough time to survey the field and decided to throw to the guys who were reliable. I don’t think this is necessarily going to be a problem going forward, however I will be afraid to face another good defense like the bears. Those are my two cents anyway.
Mordecai626 agreed. The pressure had a lot to do with it. Cowboys were consistently getting to Brees and causing problems. O-line was playing its third game in 11 days and beat up bad. I do agree that we were relying too heavily on Kamara/Thomas, but Brees hardly had time to make any reads once the play started.
Just saying that the cowboys had the exact same amount of rest as the saints. Think that’s why they played on Thursday cuz we both just played thanksgiving so we both had a week to prepare.
@@TheUltimateGamingMachine It was the exact same amount, sure, but the cowboys are the most experienced prime-time, and Thursday night team so the organization is more tooled for short weeks. It's not an excuse for Brees playing lazily, but they weren't exactly playing on equal terms.
Yes they were playing "on equal terms." Lol it's better to get punched in the mouth during the regular season where you can identify and address the problems. You point to all the different recievers catching TDs but Atlanta also is decimated on defense. You said you weren't making excuses then proceeded to make excuses. Y'alls coach is smart and already tried to fix this issue by signing dez, unfortunately we'll never know if it would of prevented being exposed. I have no doubt they will bounce back and I'm very glad the hawks don't play y'all next.
The Ultimate Gaming Machine that’s true but the Cowboys were playing at home for back to back Thursday’s so don’t think that wasn’t a factor
ODESZA on the outro. I see you Brett.
I like your content, great stuff and no hot take bs. Keep it up !!
I do have one question: Is it because Drew Brees is too determined to throw a certain route (run by Thomas or Kamara and would make Brees very predictable) or is the Play selection too predictable?
learning football in 4D from you👍😎
Finally a good video about my cowboys!
Can you break down derrick Henry’s huge game
Two words. Jacksonville Jaguars.
jack hardee what’s there to breakdown... the jags want a qb and are tanking... hence why they didn’t tackle him -titans fan
Poor tackling and not giving a fuck. There u have it
jack hardee Jags not wanting to tackle simple as that
jack hardee good blocking bad tackling and stiff arms . DONE
Dallas and Seattle has the personnel to beat any team in the league including those high scoring teams. They are a teams that should be feared come playoff time
At 3:55 ny guy Drew out here going on a stroll, setting up a picnic. The rams had 0 rush what a pocket
great video bro
Cool video. I've watched the whole thing, for sure.
Good thing for the Saints not every team has a great pass rush and 2 fast linebackers that can play sideline to sideline
Saints fan here. Great analysis! It's so true. We need all hands on deck outside of Kamara and Thomas. Trequan Smith needs to be trusted more. Also I'm still waiting on Brandon Marshall to punch in for work too. We get Ted Ginn back which will help big time. I"m not worried, but the Cowboys defense did give the Saints a homework assignment. I'm just glad that the loss occurred in the regular season rather than in the NFC Championship Game.
Great video as always Brett, but a piece of feedback would be your numbers at 7:48. Perhaps don't use slashes between the RB and WR, I was confused for a while seeing the slashes denoting the share of targets they had right after that. Took me a while to interpret! Apart from that, top class as always.
Good call, thanks for the feedback
I'd like to see videos on which teams should hire which coaches (specifically the packers) :)
Kris Richard is the guy that deserves the cowboys pass defense credit
So basically Drew Brees needs to stop forcing the ball to Thomas and Kamara? Saints did that against Atlanta the previous week when 4 undrafted guys caught touchdowns. So I don't think this is a blueprint to beat them. Drew Brees just had an off night with bad decisions. He'll realize this and torch the Bucs if they try to do the same thing.
Ryan Harrison facts.....he had a off night. But also give credit to Dallas for causing that off night
MakeAPlay Tv one off night on the road the week after a short week not having time to recover like normal
Scary this is drew probably had worst game ever and saints lost by 3
Not worried
It’s clear you’re telling yourself that to feel better because the Saints are your team but when a team gets completely shut down on offense for 3 quarters it has nothing to do with having an “off night” or making “bad decisions”.
These are the same plays that have put up 30-45 points all year, they just faced a top 3 defense that has the players to shut them down. Similar to their game against Baltimore, another top 3 defense that only allowed them to put up 24.
mezzo forte it actually wasn’t a short week. Both Dallas and the Saints had played on thanksgiving, 7 days before they met.
And the score should have been 3-27 but Dallas didn’t score after their final interception and Dak also overthrew a TD pass to a wide open receiver.
@@jackfrost6463 your not gonna talk about the missed helmet hit that could've turned into a touch down but you take off points for the push off
So for Cowboys defense it was like practice?
That 3rd down passes stat is crazy, all the best teams are passing less on 3rd down because they are always 3rd and short
As a saints fan I’m glad this happened now. Sean will use this loss to prevent future ones
Can you do a playoff prediction video when the playoffs come?
You speak of how certain route combos beat certain coverages a lot. Could you perhaps do a comprehensive guide on how to beat certain defenses with certain route concepts using nfl examples. I could really use it. Trying to make starting qb on varsity since their 1 stringer was a senior. I could always resort to the line weighing 180 pounds, but I have an arm and should eventually be a prototypical qb size.
Do one on the Bears Rams game! Bears made the Rams offense look pedestrian tonight!
You should be in the NFL bro. Keep it up! :)
Do a “how the Eagles went from last in the NFC East so SB champs” video
There is no better NFL commentary on the internet.
This makes me feel really good about seeing The Saints in the NFC championship
Brett is a football god
This is doctorate level football analysis. Can you hold a workshop? I would attend.
Wow what an eye opener. I thought this team was something different because of NFL network. They need you on that show!
"Either they adapt... or they die" I'm shuddering with goosebumps Brett
There is a reason why Sean Payton went out and signed Dez Bryant. He seen this coming before all of us did. However, I think you missed the most important part of the cowboys win.
The most important part was Dallas’s Dline winning the battle up front. Saints couldn’t run the ball and Brees didn’t have TIME. Also, what help Dallas is Jerry Jones telling his team to treat this game like the Super Bowl. Saints didn’t treat this game like no damn Super Bowl. If Dallas plays New Orleans in the playoffs, the results will be a lot different.
Sure
Gaming Legend ay, if you are a cowgirl fan then congrats on your super bowl win last Thursday. I know it meant a lot to ya.

I’m surprised he hasn’t been contacted by ESPN or something like that to have his own special segment. I’m sure it would do really well
Coming from a saints fan that been watch the saints my whole life every game. And the saints have many ways to be team. I love your content Brett and you hit some good points, but the said problem offensively Is not having a Wr that can take the top off the D. That the weakness. Ted Ginn was that guy but since Ginn went down we been looking for a Wr.
Brett Kollmann could definitely be hired on an nfl team’s staff as a film study director or something.
Sweet outro song.
Damn man you deserve an NFL Network segment at a minimum.
You should do one on Gareon Conley.
