This time, I had the chance to visit the historic Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, home to the legendary Oscar’s Steakhouse as recommend in many of the videos from @SayHiToMatthew . Named after former mayor and criminal defence attorney Oscar Goodman, Oscar’s is renowned not only as the best steakhouse in downtown Las Vegas but also as “The Happiest Steakhouse in the Universe.” Does it live up to these titles? I intend to find out.
Oscar’s offers a truly unique Las Vegas dining experience. The main dining room is set inside the Plaza’s iconic glass dome, evoking the classic ambiance of old Vegas. With handcrafted cocktails, including the former mayor’s signature martini, and a delicious menu featuring diverse cuts of beef, classic seafood options, and traditional sides, Oscar’s pays homage to Goodman’s beloved family and infamous ‘friends.’
My dinner was a steakhouse classic. From the refreshing wedge salad and luscious lobster bisque to the ribeye, crab, and bone marrow feast with all the fixings, it was classic Vegas at its best!
And as delicious as the food was, it was the people that made the dinner truly outstanding! Classic steakhouse dishes and exceptional service created a timeless experience.

It’s funny because for the videos I try to order a variety of things to satisfy curiosity, but unfortunately, ending up finishing the dishes😉

Hit the Golden Steer as well if you can get a reservation. Went there in June and it’s an iconic place and fabulous meal. This one looked awesome as well.

I am Canadian born, now in US. The bone marrow looked awesome. I put it on bread with a bit of salt. We kids used to fight over it. It freaks my US born family out. 😂
Yeah, bone marrow is certainly a tasty treat and certainly not for everyone. Really enjoyable and I think that was actually very good value …at least for the bone marrow.
Just with the cocktails, bread, salad and soup I would have thrown in the towel! You did this excellent meal justice. Thank you for your content, I enjoy your channel.

What a great video. We enjoyed watching your experience at Oscar’s. We just finished eating our own big steaks but my boyfriend said you were making him hungry. Lol. The ribeye was probably one of the best cooked steaks I’ve had. Normally don’t drink martinis, but that was a very crisp and refreshing one😋

I would highly recommend paying a visit to Oscars! Nothing like the classic hospitality and dishes of the legendary steakhouse. Really grateful to get to meet up with Danny and Steve. Very great individuals, but just between you and me, Danny is not the cheap SOB that he makes himself out to be😉. A very gracious individual.

Years back we took my MIL to a wonderful steakhouse. They served the house wedge salad. She looked at it and said "I'm supposed to make the salad myself!?". What a classic steak house meal. Surprised the bisque was a full bowl. "Onion in the form of bacon". HA, HA!! Hello from lovely Oregon. Much cooler than Las Vegas.
lol… the wedge salad does appear to require some assembly😁. Really enjoyable and the appetizers and soup were great. I was really struggling with the heat in Vegas.

I hope you get to try Oscars as well! It’s a very good experience and while many dishes are very reasonable priced and very well prepared, the sides can get pricey like a $15 baked potato. Really great to see what Bill and Lisa were ordering as well. Did you see the size difference between the rib cap and that massive prime rib?

Oh Tim! WHAT A GREAT MEAL!!! First appetizer The Bone Marrow is always good right? That 24oz. BONE IN RIBEYE! looked absolutely appetizing!!!! The crab, asparagus topping I could eat as a main course!!! THE MASSIVE BAKED POTATO! CHEESE, BUTTER, SOUR CREAM , AND BACON! Loved they gave you all the toppings! The cookie was pretty big! And the other dessert would've been the right size. Hope you took cookie home! The first drink you had the strawberry flavor that's the one for me. All the waiters and the waitress were so friendly and helpful! OSCAR'S STEAKHOUSE THE BEST RESTERAUNT EXPERIENCE LAS VEGAS. You have to splurge every once in a while!!!!

It’s amazing that you can get anything you want in Vegas. Many of the restaurants and Burger chains that are not local to my area, I can find in Vegas.
@@TimLeeLetsGo Hi Tim. I used to work downtown at the Horseshoe Hotel for almost 7 yrs. After my graveyard shift about 9am, I used to go over to the golden gate and get .50 cent shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were huge! I ate a few times at Oscar's. Oscar Goodman was not a good man sorry to say.

Wow, what perfect meal, right down to dessert! Everything looked delicious. I love that they cleaned the table between the courses. You always had a nice space to enjoy the next course of the meal. I would love everything you ordered except for the cocktails. I would probably enjoy a glass of champagne. Thanks for the review, I enjoyed watching.
Just watching this one from July 2024. I feel for you, having to navigate thru the heat of a Vegas Summer, especially one as hot as this one was. Can't wait to see your food choices iat Oscar's. All 3 courses looked good. At first when I saw the title, I thought it was Peter Luger's steakhouse. But this one really looked good. $69 for 24oz bone-in ribeye is not bad. Will definitely try it out next time I go to LV

You’re right! It’s actually quite reasonable for the ribeye and the bone marrow. Some dishes were a little bit pricier like the sides… The $15 baked potato, but I think that goes with the territory. I would definitely go for the ribeye and the bone marrow again.

I agree! A lot of the dishes are very reasonable… The steak and the bone marrow in particular. It’s the sides that are quite pricey. I definitely order the steak and the bone marrow again.
