Wow amazing!! I just watched climbing videos non stop today but this is incredible. Until today I had no ideea about these crazy stuff. I would never do that but you are amazing. But also stay safe! 😢
Given that his belayer is right next to him and it seems to be a long way to the ground I‘d say he is climbing a multipitch, can‘t tell for sure in that angle though.
They are most likely Noah's. You'll find routes that are bolted all over the world. Climbers bring these 'Quickdraws' with them to climb bolted routes. Then, at the top there's an anchor, where we will put the rope through and lower ourselves down. On the way back you'll pick up the gear used for the climb.
My guess is he or someone in the group had these, maybe he’s doing the second lap on the climb. Some routes have perma-draws but these are somebody’s personal ones. You actually see perma-draws on the other steeper side of the arete as he pulls around.
What about it? The draw looked good, if you mean the hanger those are glued in with epoxy. They break at insane forces, 35kn+ if done properly. Stuff looked bomber
Many people start indoor these days, but it's not as fun in my opinion. If you don't know anyone else who climbs, then taking an indoor "beginners" class might be the best option. Otherwise you might find a local club who would be willing to show you the ropes outdoors (which is how I got started).
The climber on the other end of the rope manages the rope with a device that allows them to pull rope out or in as well as lock it up in the case of a fall. They're known as the belayer
There's roughly a 3 in a million chance of dying each climb. That sounds high, until you realise you've got a 5 in a million chance of dying scuba diving, and a 1 in a million chance of dying every time you eat peanut butter. You've got a 20 in a million chance of dying every day anyway, so in that context, boosting it to 30 or 40 on a few weekends isn't a massively stupid thing to do. Climbing is relatively safe in the grand scheme of things. Heck, being even 5 kg above your "ideal weight" carries the same risk of dying from climbing every 3 days you remain overweight (or if you're 15 kg overweight which is likely average in the US), it's the equivalent death risk as climbing every single day. Drinking alcohol will also shorten your predicted life span significantly. There are many ways to die.
I'm amazed by this man's hobby, but I've the utmost appreciation to the guy who mounted the tools in the rocks😅😅😅
Yesss!! Route development is such an underappreciated skill!
私は評価しません、逆に怒ります。金具だらけで岩山を汚しています
@@岩下富夫-b5w not like they're able to be seen from the ground.
Did you pov the whole climb? Would be cool to watch
Agreed
+1
I think this is a climb called Paralyzed in Calico Basin. Red Rocks, NV.
I was thinking Sedona, but with that wind, yup, RedRocks!
Yup, at alternative crag. Great warm up for the prophet and nirvana
Looks a nice climb with all the holds in the right places💜
Lots of exposure with that wind! Stunning corner line.
Right the wind makes it so much more gnarly
That type of climb is called an Arête 😊
A corner climb is the inverse of this situation where two walls converge into a corner
That was a sick undercling and those are some nice slots haha
Saw a couple of your shorts And now i am addicted to your channel.
Also curious to know which route, but you don’t have to blow up your favorites if you don’t want to.
You are the artist and the medium is red rock. Nice
This is amazing. Really cool move!
Wahoo beautiful rock ☝️
You ve been climbing amazing places 👌
My hands sweat like mad whenever I see these rock climbing videos
Use some chalk :)
This is amazing bro keep up with the hard work
That looks so fun
Wow amazing!! I just watched climbing videos non stop today but this is incredible. Until today I had no ideea about these crazy stuff. I would never do that but you are amazing. But also stay safe! 😢
I’m climbed that exact route
makes my palms sweat every time
good climb id love to try it
Wow! Amazing line!
My palms are already sweating just watching this
This looks sooo beautiful! Nice breath work too - do you think about your breathing while you climb or is that natural for you?
I try and stay as calm as possible on easier routes - but that can change when I'm pushing my limits haha. Still something to work on
That 11b is a great warm up for the prophet to the left of you.
So great !
Where is it please ? Witch country ?
Such a beautiful climb I want to climb it now
man, i wanna go to red rocks so bad 😫
why don't you use a stopper knot?
That’s hot!! and scary!
looks cold
My stomach doesn't feel great watching this. I feel like Im about to fall. 😂
Man if only our rocks were bolted like That 😢
Hope you had a blast ☺️
Could you share what this route is called?
Hey, I was just there! Did you do any multipitch or just stick to the excellent sport climbing?
Given that his belayer is right next to him and it seems to be a long way to the ground I‘d say he is climbing a multipitch, can‘t tell for sure in that angle though.
@@carloslueder2411It's single pitch you just scramble to that ledge
beautiful
That's a really nice line/route
looks so fun!!
amazing rock!
what route is this?
I think it’s either Paralyzed or Flying Rats
You should put one of the foam caps on your GoPro microphone to cut out the wind noise.
true
What grade? Looks hard and airy!!
Are the rocks ever hot to the touch?
Yes
Nice arete! Beautiful place
The wind is making my feet sweat
How do the clips get stuck in the rock? Or are they just from past climbers?
How did that round clips are placed there?? Is that really strong??
Con un rotopercutor, son extremadamente fuertes.
This is probably a dumb question, but are those hooks left by other climbers or did you put them in yourself and take them off in the descent?
They are most likely Noah's. You'll find routes that are bolted all over the world. Climbers bring these 'Quickdraws' with them to climb bolted routes. Many popular routes have permanent hangers.
@@darnerobideau8766how are those put up in there?
Are those hook attachments always there for people to use?
Yes
Was that a steel cable quick draw? Never seen one before.
Una cuerda dinámica.
This red tricks in Colorado??
What route? Looks cool
That looks sick! What’s it rated? I was just there
paralyzed 5.11b!
Seeing this makes me wanna cry 😭
I'm afraid of heights
Man you should sponsor a GoPro commercial or something fr
Is your belayer just in the ledge without being strap to something? 😅
Haha, it does look that way! 😮
I'm confused, how did the QuickDraws get there? Are they just permanent? How do you know to trust them?
My guess is he or someone in the group had these, maybe he’s doing the second lap on the climb. Some routes have perma-draws but these are somebody’s personal ones. You actually see perma-draws on the other steeper side of the arete as he pulls around.
@@ajhurst95 Ok I see. I'm gonna be climbing outside soon so I'm trying to learn how it works. Taking a class on it in a few weeks.
@@ZerolinGD nice. I did mine last weekend. It's great, enjoy learning the proper techniques!
That route to the left looks deadly, hangers in the breeze
So cool dude
My hands are getting wet while watching this! My gosh.
what is your gopro mount set up like?
That quickdraw in the end.... Sketchy
What about it? The draw looked good, if you mean the hanger those are glued in with epoxy. They break at insane forces, 35kn+ if done properly. Stuff looked bomber
Looks beutiful
Damn, that's a cool route. Wish I was there, bruh. Sigh!
i am of the opponion that this beauty is named ‘flying rats’ rather than ‘paralyzed’…. the ladder of which shares the start
Red rocks? In colorado springs?
What route/area is this in Red Rocks? Looks sweet.
Alternative crag
WTF makes you look at the side of a cliff and say "yup, that's the one. Thats the cliff I have to climb, who's with me?!"
the guidebook
Where would you recommend for my to start rock climbing
climbing gyms!

dat exposure tho
Complete insanity.
But how does your rope keep extending further up and still have the tension you need in case you fall? I'm confused
The climber on the other end of the rope manages the rope with a device that allows them to pull rope out or in as well as lock it up in the case of a fall. They're known as the belayer
Is that Moral Dilemma. Looks awfully similar to it. Green Valley Gap?
How do you get down?
It's the cave and cliffs update
I can only imagine how my 6’3 240 lb ass would be sent spiraling to my death if I tried to put all my weight on a tiny ass crevice 😭
With good enough climbing shoes, you’d be fine. Idk about your fingers though haha
Date bigger crevices
Видео кто-то впереди шëл с перфораторам и вбивал эти петли в скалы😢😅🤔
What if ther all tock breaks off?
Climb is Paralyzed, 11b in alternative crag, red rocks
I'm trying to see the fun in this, id be scared sh!tless
Dude did you have to fight the wind when you went rock climbing
Omg😮😮😮
The climb 2
May I ask what route this is?
11b at adventure wall. 12a to the right is rad and a 12b to the far left is super also. Best approach to crag as you go over an arch.
Who the heck put those in the wall originally??????
What route is this?
What country?
5.5? 5.6?
This is the bravest man on earth
My knees sense im watching something risky a can feel them breaking
I am wearing helmet, so if I fall no big deal helmet

Are you SURE that is not Green Valley Gap?????
What if u want to go to toilet in the middle?
Redrocks Colorado?
Red Rock (singular) Nevada

have you ever hurt yourself while climbing
I don’t get the fascination people have with death
No fascination with death, just enjoying our lives.
