Forgot to mention in the video you can check Grant YT channel out here: www.youtube.com/@granthilbert5632 Also for those curious and don't know that is Grant's combine JD 9560 that we are using. Thanks for watching!
Just a thought if truck don't have a hoist look for a gravity box to set in it then you can haul extra corn in truck plus added traction in your slipping issue
Given the field work etc, you had to do into planting season, I'd say this was a successful season Spencer. You've learned a few lessons this year that I'm sure will serve you well going forward leading to added successes in the future. Another great video and congrats on the season. Looking forward to what you're up to next
i think its awesome your doing what you do after watching your videos i seen you went to Iowa state the funny thing about it is i drive for Decker Truck Lines and i see the trailers in Fort Dodge all the time for the cyclones i really enjoy working there its such a cool place to be employed for keep up the good work
Also good video took me a couple attempts to watch it all i got alot going on all the time but kept me interested enough to keep checking back to finish it
One foot in front of another - well done. Efficiency adds percentage points and it slowly ticks upwards. 1% is 2 Bushes....1% saving of time is 36 seconds per hour... equipment maintenance adds tons of efficiency. I would definitely consider some road maintenance and building a Culvert / access across that stream to speed things up.
OUTSTANDING video. Considering everything, you had very good yields. You and your brother are such likable guys. WIsh you had time to do more videos in between. Maybe that sweet lady could help. God bless you all.
It's really awesome watching you and Grant through the whole process and where you are at today! I'm genuinely happy for you guys and you seem like really good hard working dude's and congratulations on getting your dream jobs going
Iowa born and raised and work at JD's Harvester Works. I am looking to get some property here soon to start my own farm, these videos are highly motivating!👍
Congrats on your first harvest Spencer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully the corn head is repairable without to much expense!! now comes tillage! Awesome job my friend👍👍👍
You can open up the row plates on the header which should eliminate the clogging of that row. The row width should be set to the crop you’re harvesting and with Garry’s field being dryer the crop stems were also smaller which is why the header didn’t clog up on his field
Great to see another Hilbert video. You guys are doing an amazing job, you just need to film more in between video instead of just putting a video out every once in a blue moon.
Yas sang spectacular Spencer. Give me your Glorious voice. Awesome vlog guys. I’m so proud of you both. So then the idea of making hay or grass bales for a bit of extra money is still a option?
Slip clutches need rebuilt on that head. Find a nice Kinze 640, 650, 840, 850 grain cart for the 8110. Dual auger is much nicer for loading tall wagons compared to a corner auger
Ok, my only question is how do you “hammer down” “nice and slow”? You guys do a great job working everything out with all the coordination you have to do. Congratulations on a great season for both of you and fingers crossed you will both be able to continue to consolidate the farms together close to home!
I dont know if it would be worth it but, would it be possible to make a bridge of some sorts at the part shown at 16:42? It probably would be expensive but that should be compensated by not having to deal with stuck tractors and such
Can you fix the tailgate on the truck to haul corn? Sorry if someone else has asked the question . I have enjoyed yours and Grants channel thanks foe sharing.
Yeah I could. But I calculated it would only hold 200-250 bushels. Would be super nice for the weight on the drive tires though. I think it would be to much of a hassle dumping. If I had a “private” bin site where I wasn’t in anyone’s way I would try it for fun.
If you just need weight over the wheels you might consider ballasting the truck. For example with some IBCs filled with water. Easy to forklift in and out of the truck as required.

Thanks for watching!
Did you remember to add your fix to the forum? Great video!
Cool i was just going to ask for hour bros info👍🏻
You should build a back plate that can dump at the coop and fill the army truck with corn as well
Better traction
Just a thought if truck don't have a hoist look for a gravity box to set in it then you can haul extra corn in truck plus added traction in your slipping issue
Yee I was supprised to see army truck not used for hauling corn to.
@@janisber111 most likely don't have a hoist to dump the box
Your cab corn agent is a nice addition to your crew.
Very insightful video on agriculture technology.
All you got to do is put the tail gate up and you could haul corn in it to!! Because that is a 5 ton dump ! And it will haul more then 5 tons

I’m so glad you guys are starting the process of getting transitioned to farming closer to home even if it takes a couple years
keep this up my man! Very very enjoyable to watch
Thank you!
Nice job boys, I enjoy followimg along. Order parts for that head, do all the rows.
That's the plan!
Super glad to see your first year on this farm yielded so well.
Impressive use of agriculture technology here! It’s exciting to think about how this will improve efficiency in farming.

Glad harvest went good. Hope you guys have a good thanksgiving
Thanks, you too!
Great to see harvest is going good and it’s good to see a John Deere 4640 going hard because we got one on our farm
Also good video took me a couple attempts to watch it all i got alot going on all the time but kept me interested enough to keep checking back to finish it

The beginning was funny 😂 with grant
that was nice of your neighbor using his grain cart maybe next year you may buy a use Grain cart.
It's really awesome watching you and Grant through the whole process and where you are at today! I'm genuinely happy for you guys and you seem like really good hard working dude's and congratulations on getting your dream jobs going
Thanks Spencer, great to see the process from start to finish
Iowa born and raised and work at JD's Harvester Works. I am looking to get some property here soon to start my own farm, these videos are highly motivating!👍
Good luck to you. Hope you use those pretty green machines in your operation.
Hi
Good job lad you and your brother are awesome young men
Congrats on your first harvest Spencer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully the corn head is repairable without to much expense!! now comes tillage! Awesome job my friend👍👍👍
Looking good Hilbert bros congrats on first harvest hopefully you boys will get a grain cart soon it’s a must need piece of equipment

You should add diff locks to your army truck so you don’t get stuck like that in the future.
Beautiful Rig going on here lads. Respect
Love your channel keep putting out good stuff
That’s some cool machinery there.
Congrats on the successful harvests.
Been waiting for harvest videos for a while
I love that John dear harvester looks nice and them do looks nice for what Grant said btw love the irl farming Sim Spence

Congrats to both of ya!! Great 2023 harvest! 👍👍🤠
I am so glad to see you guys harvesting Grant hasn't done much filming at all thank you Spencer for the update!
Yes a new farming video
Love that you guys are now playing farm instead of farm sim.
Great to see another Hilbert video. You guys are doing an amazing job, you just need to film more in between video instead of just putting a video out every once in a blue moon.

I am glad that you guys had a great time
Congratulations on your first harvest Spencer. I would love to see you make fodder bales
Awesome job for your first year farming
Such a good video keep it up, and I would love it if you posted more of them!
Wish you the best young man. You seem to have a good plan, I’m sure you’ll succeed! Good farming!

Great channel as well as your brother new subscriber to your looking forward to more videos 👍
Great video.
Hope to see a few ton of gravel on that creek ford next year. Harvest turned out well for you. Nice.
That is great yield for Year 1
Well done
Nice work man! Hell of a first harvest on new ground and only will get better!! Maybe a new corn header in the future or a complete rebuild!
Hope you have a bright future persuing dream!
Great job! Wishing you all the best with the farm! An exciting time for you!
Before you buy new rolls, look up B&R welding. They take used rolls and rebuild them to better than new.
🌽🌽🚜 Bravo! Congrats on your great success! Thanks for the awesome video footage. 🙏May GOD Bless your Noble Efforts.
Yas sang spectacular Spencer. Give me your Glorious voice. Awesome vlog guys. I’m so proud of you both. So then the idea of making hay or grass bales for a bit of extra money is still a option?
Spence!!!! That is a lot of cab corn😂😂
Good job guys

Good job pro 👍
been waiting for while, love from 🇮🇳
In between i just watched all the Grant 's Chanel videos 😅
You guys should buy the grain cart and tractor from Gary
It would be nice to see repair vids, like the other farmers.
Farming in South Africa🇿🇦
You guys should buy Gary’s grain cart and tractor if it’s ever for sale
finally a another videoooo
Love the video!! Awesome job 👏
grant put some corn in the back on the truck then you get some more axel pressure on the back
Nice video
Ok, my only question is how do you “hammer down” “nice and slow”? You guys do a great job working everything out with all the coordination you have to do. Congratulations on a great season for both of you and fingers crossed you will both be able to continue to consolidate the farms together close to home!
I think grant means he’s going to want a auger wagon, when he said grain cart of Gary s
Spencer you have allot of tree removal to do this winter.
Little tack welds on slip clutches
Clanking of the rolls means the cluster/triple gear that drives roll 21:15 went out
If you put a grain cart on the back of that truck you don’t get stuck up hill 😉
Try lifting the header to decrease the material it will save you header a lot
Wondering if you saw the Cornstars intercropping video. I found it fascinating
I dont know if it would be worth it but, would it be possible to make a bridge of some sorts at the part shown at 16:42? It probably would be expensive but that should be compensated by not having to deal with stuck tractors and such

Did you repost? I just finished watching the other one 😂
Yeah had an issue with some clips lagging decided to fix it.
If the neighbor Gary is retiring you should buy his tractor and grain cart.
We all get a chance I need a line at the fields
You guys should buy a kinze 840 grain cart for the 8100
Buy a 4640 or 4440 something along them lines
You should keep the paddles on the gathering chains across from each other instead of staggered.
I see you're going to be busy with the excavator this winter
When the tractor started bouncing it was in beat😭🙏
Well thats really good watching you doing all the stuff brother. I wonder how many acres you do have for farming either your own or leased ones?
It’s just the 50 I own here. My brother farms 250 acres. (Just started 3 years ago) he has a separate channel showing him starting back in 2020.
Does the truck have a hoist? If you could haul corn with it - obviously it would help with traction pulling the wagons. 👍👍
That"s one way to Knock the dust off
Looking for grain cart,,, don’t go to dealers,, ask around first, go to auctions, you’ll get better deals😊😊
Exciting! Are you profitable at all?
You guys should buy a grain truck and cart
will you and grant build another shed at the new field for all the equipment ?
Put a little dirt in the truck with the excavator, weight will help it with traction
❤️
