Thanks for watching!! Check out our merch on www.junkyarddigs.com/
I'm only 12 and I love this channel
Find a Super 8....Brass has to be tinned before it can be soldered.
Next year you got to buy a deere
They look after you if you send stuff down under?? Got nothing to ship myself, thought I might buy some UA-cam merch at last, but buggered if I'm paying US$ for a tshirt, if the postage would cover a cheap engined thing!!!😂😂🍻🍻 Love your work guys Stevo
@georgiaridgerunner79 ya they did and they had a vid
The farming content on this channel is top notch. I love your normal videos, but the farm content is a nice change of pace.
For real. I was excited for every farming video last year. It's a great idea
I totally agree!
Love it
it's what feeds our country! The fact that some kids can get worn out farm equipment and work ground with it just shows how lucky we are to live in the greatest country on earth
The pliers content is above and beyond
So good to hear Luke is local again! I love seeing these old tractors do work.
Glad to hear that Luke lives close by again and has more free time. I also agree with him that you need your own tractor. This years planting went much smoother than last years though.
Imagine what that 460 could do with all 6 cylinders! They only had around 50 HP, but that was a different kind of horsepower back then.
They use twin back wheels for most heavy work plowing rear wheel actually so they use that 50hp in every way they could
And the fact that engine and frame of tractor could take a beating and still work is why old tractor are better than new plastic ones
Yes a 300hp john deere is better but need much more care with all the computer and sensitive parts
Like my pa used to said “old but gold”
Horsepower before the 70s were actually how many horses it could replace 😂😂😂
@@rezh1999 and the old ones will usually pop off after sitting for months unlike new ones
It's awesone to see these old vehicles / farm equipment get the proper treatment they deserve!
I did notice the intermittent functioning of the highly coveted mosquito fogging option. For the comfort of the tractor operator I sure hope they get the fogger working right.
Old equipment revivals mixed with amateur farming. Adds fresh variety and a whole new dimension to the channel. Brilliant idea!
Question: Will Angus be joining along on the Farmyard Digs series? Honestly last year with the comedy y'all brought (along with the revivals) like "THAT'S NOT HOW THIS WORKS." and "Got pliers?" it was just too good!
He probably has the big pliers, too.
@@TheOtherBill *in his overalls pocket.
WE WANT ANGUS CONTENT
that’s 100% where the big pliers are
Crazy was I was coming back to this video to comment on the same thing. We want to see more Angus collabs.
I'm two generations removed from Minnesota Farmers. Watching you take this forgotten equipment, giving it a little love, and planting a crop is great content. I wish I knew more about that equipment, and how to be a farmer. Because I have tremendous appreciation for people who work the land and provide something good and tangible for America. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for reviving these old rigs!
It's not as easy as it looks it's hard work up before the sun comes up bed after the sun goes down if your lucky enough to do that.
Absolutely love the farming content. Not many channels around that do both.
There's others? 😂
@@JunkyardDigs Yup!, just not many
@@JunkyardDigs is that Farmall Diesel?
@@TheFarmallfarmer Nope. Diesels don't have carburetors.
Discing, cultivating and planting beans on 40 acres looks like alot of fun (as long as someone else is doing it) thanks Farmer Kevin and Ms. Mook for the farming fun video!
I love it...at 21:23 Kevin tries to get the tractor to move, it stalls again, and Kevin is like "Screw it, I'm just gonna drink some more beer."
I was over it at that point😂
isnt that how you fix all your problems ?
@@JunkyardDigs get a new carb, instead if messing wit that hunk of junk.
it was just full of stick.
The tractors are more epic adventures than anything else on the channel!
But the whole farm machinery episodes are excellent.
Plus Jessie and Luke both being back on the channel is really good.
Looking forward to seeing them again.
Bravo guys 👏
That tractor is sweet 👌Mook is such a kind heart to all the little beasties.
Very cool to see you and Luke getting to visit more and more.
As he starts to disk, I can see a lot of blowby shooting down out of the slobber tube, so much that it might save fuel to try to plumb that slobber tube back into the intake. That engine might be worn enough to think about a ring sealing oil additive like Restore, too.
45:50 MAJESTIC AF right here, the seeds almost done, the rain is a comin', the tractor chugging the last row, and the planter bouncing along behind spittin' out the last of the final bag of bean beans, THIS IS AMERICA right here, folks
Underrated
Last year’s farm revival series was what brought me to your channel. Was very happy to see this video show up, enjoyed watching it. Keep up the good work guys! I would love to see the occasional 1 minute short over the course of the growing season to see how the crop is doing. Cheers!
We will try to include it in the videos better this year!
Great effort Junk Yard Digs Farm from Sydney Australia.
From soldering the float valve right through to "spilling the beans."
Getting the old farm implements running is not easy.
You make my smile, for sure
🌏🇭🇲
.
YAAAAAYYY TRAAACTORR REVIVAL I love this farming revival stuff
HELL YEAAAAAAAAAAAAH 😎🤟🔥🔥🔥🔥
My thought exactly!
Absolutely, this stuff is the best 👌
I do too
Glad Luke and you will be getting back together, ya’ll have good chemistry. Always enjoyed you collaberations.
I've been working on fixing up a 460. They are neat tractors. Beware the year, the first year production had many many transmission issues because the driveline was not built heavily enough to handle the power of the larger engines. International Harvester completely redesigned the transmission and offered a fix to all the early machines. Otherwise they are great machines. If you look at the underside of the transmission and see some welded patches or anything of that sort then you will know that the transmission has had a failure and been repaired.
Ah yes The 460/560 the beginning of the end for IH. It was actually the rear end/final drives that were failing. I was expecting a "time to check the gas and fill the oil" quip the way that thing was smoking. Do you think the rings were bad when it was parked or did they get gummed up or frozen while it was taking a long rusty nap?
But they were sold as a low ter puller thier first year. Thier 3rd year was when they guarantee the product lol
@@fk4515 By the way it looks and the way it runs I would say its just tired. Note the trouble that it has when trying to get it to move where it just stalls out. The one I am working on also does this on occasion but because It's down a cylinder. I can hear all 6 firing in this video. It's just a well used machine.
I can't remember where I heard it, but I believe that the 460s and 560s with an X stamped on the serial tag were repaired by IH.
I really enjoy the change to the farming videos. Not only does it show what average farmers go through, it's just nice to see old equipment in general get a second chance at life.
Love the variety of content on your channel from Nascar to farming. Thanks for keeping us entertained
I really enjoy the farming videos using the old equipment. Great to see Luke again, glad he lives closer now. Can't wait to see your next collaboration with him. Good luck with the beans. 🚜🇺🇸 🚜🇺🇸 🚜🇺🇸
I LITERALLY JUST FINISHED WATCHING LAST YEARS SERIES!
Couldn't have timed it better! Can't wait to see how this year will go! 😄
Your farming videos are far and away my favorite episodes. I have a 1958 Ford 641 Workmaster myself, and I named her Gertrude, or Gerdie for short. That old gal still puts in *WORK*, too!
I love the farm revivals and actually using the equipment. Keep up the great work!
I really enjoyed last year's farming series. You guys prove that you don't need million dollar equipment to do the job. Good luck with your crops this year!
It's always good to see Jesse wish we could seen more of him
I'm glad you got the beans in 💪
Kevin, the lever next to your left leg when driving the tractor is your Torque Amplifier. You can pull it back and it will help you if you're going through a tough spot in the field.
I had the exact same Farmall. I grew up on a few of em, my neighbor later on in life had one he was gonna scrap, I give him $150 for it and had it runnin that afternoon. Good ole gal.
I'm so glad you did another farming revival! Yay tractors!!!
Farming, cars, trucks old 3 wheeled Hondas! That's all I need to come back. Most of all yall's humor and personalities. Thanks again for a great ride!
Love what you guys are doing on your farm!
Wow, I really enjoyed that. We always watch for your car and truck stuff, but I really enjoyed watching you fix the tractor, prepare the ground, and then plant the beans. I've never seen that so up close. It was being there right with you. I'm originally from Connecticut and we had mostly dairy farms. My wife is from Wisconsin, so this stuff she knows well. For me it was great to see this little slice of farming.
I really enjoyed last season's farming shenanigans so looking forward to this seasons arseing about with farm equipment.
Yes!! Another farming with abandoned equipment! I love it!
I needed that!! Dropping the stick in the fuel I died!!!! Thanks Kevin for the best laugh in months!!!
My uncle Fred had an ancient Case tractor that he bought when the horses got old. He parked it behind the carriage house for winter; drained fluids, took out the battery and put a can on the exhaust. Reverse the process in spring and she always started right up. Good stuff. That tractor was my first driving experience.
Even on the well worn tires that tractor stayed hooked up and pulled like a champ
She's a good old piece of time proven American iron.
I REALLY like these farm series. Especially that secret agent tractor--with a smoke screen and oil slick!
Love the constant great content Kevin & Mook bring on their channels!
So happy farm vids are back I wish you the best of luck
Love the farming equipment vids! We have an old International Harvester 2504 gas we use to cut our fields at our hunting property using an 8ft brush hog. Also have an old Case 530 backhoe for ditches, pond cleanout and other projects. Both are OLD! But run great! Used you standpipe trick to fix our 2504 due to the same issue.
Absolutely love it when you're doing the planting it is funny as heck!😂
Can hardly wait until things start happening even more😊
Each time you did a field repair, I kept mentally urging success. I wanted to see the old tractor work and keep working. You may start a trend of people using abandoned equipment nursed into operation to farm land instead of going into outrageous debt for equipment the owner can't even work on! You got a good don't give up attitude that I think makes folks want to try to push their projects forward. Though I'm subbed, I usually watch and don't like a video cause I'm just one of thousands that watch and don't think it changes anything but the attitude you both portray was exceptional. Thanks for sharing these and hoping for all the success at the farm.
Mook's farmer outfit is AWESOME!
You two are so great together. Another awesome video.
“They’re the puppies of spiders” -made me do a spit-take. Another fun episode all around.
Sometimes I watch your videos and think, reminds me of hanging out with my brother. Brothers speak a certain way to each other. It’s like a language. It’s cool to see. Thanks for sharing with us, your way of life.
I don't like to laugh at other people misfortune but you dropping that stick in the tank made me laugh. I needed that after these last couple of days.
I love seeing people work on these old tractors. I’m going to start on an old McCormick pretty soon. Thank you for sharing these experiences.
Ah yes! A new episode from Corngard, the mythical realm of endless fields of corn, where farmers can farm forevermore. I missed these. :D
I really enjoy the farmer videos, it is a lot of fun and so fitting to the agricultural history of your area! I bet the neighbors get a kick out of it too, also that cat is a real character.
Growing up on a farm even working on it at age 13/14 was awesome and your videos farming is awesome farming is the true life of America 🇺🇸 thanks for the videos of you doing it can't wait for harvest time 😀
If they are going to have a dedicated farm truck, when they already have multiple trucks already, shouldn't it have better traction? with either 4wd or a 200 engine and mudder type drive tires??? Dedicating a 2wd big block v8 truck with highway tires to exclusively farm use seems nonsensical to me. My dedicated farm truck, which I recently put back on the road after selling the farm, is a 1982 Dodge W150, 4wd with 225. and granny gear 4 speed. I recently removed the mudder tires for it's first Florida trip.
Good variety indeed! The big kitty Mook was holding looked just like our ol Charlie!! Thanx yall!!
I always look forward to these farming videos. They're so fun to watch and I love getting to see these old pieces of equipment come back to life :)
I love the revivals, but there's something really special about seeing old equipment being used hard for real work. I was hoping youd do it again this year. Good shit
My first time watching this channel was when you did last years farming I proved it so much I started farming my own land thank you everyone from junk yard digs you guys are amazing
Ya'll are flippin awesome. Great community to! Luke does look right at home on that strong 460 💪
Other Automotive UA-camrs "Give it the Beans" Kev and Mook grow 'em!
Love the sneak peeks in this video! Toyota camper in the background and the boat 440 next to the Satellite👀
Good job guys. The farming content is great!
The farm content is a cool change of pace. Last year I kept waiting for the next farm video. I love it.
You guys have way too much fun. Keep it up
Love Mook with the constant stick trash talk.
On my family farm we have a Farmall 560 turbo diesel that smokes a lot💨 we just keep adding used motor oil in it🛢. 50 years and 3 generations of farming and it still runs. Those old Farmall's never die.😄
I subbed to this channel because of the farming content. No doubt the best farming videos on UA-cam, glad to see you bringing it back!
I was hoping you were going to do the farming thing again the spring this brings back good memories of my years growing up on a farm working until you couldn't see any more ,A really enjoyable video
I love it when you two work ❤ keep it up!😊
I love all the videos! Our Big Red 250 was a life saver on the farm! Get a small trailer built for that Honda and you're set for carrying all your tools/fuel/supplies and get another for pulling equipment. Plus, I'm not sure how Iowa ATV/ATC laws work, but a slow moving vehicle sign on a "farm use" trailer keeps you from getting pulled over in IN....or used to anyway lol
So glad to see the farm series back again this year!!!
Too cool - thing was super fun to drive.
Love the series, but Kevin, for the love of crops, please stop just dumping fuel/oil on the ground in your fields!! That's so unhealthy 🤢🤮
We had a 460 in the 70's. I hated that tractor but my Father loved it. Great Video! Thanks!
The beer chug after the stall... I can say all too well I know that exact feeling. Best series on UA-cam!
I kinda like seeing all this old junk out in the field again. I feel your pain with the Farmall fuel nightmare. When i was fourteen I took the SuperM carburetor off so many damn times that i wouldn't even get on it without a wrench in my pocket. I like your float bulb fix. My old neighbor suggested the same "fix". I thought he was a genius at the time. Turns out he was experienced AND genius! Thanks, Mr.Canterbury, for helping this clueless kid get that old junker runnin' a million years ago.
Mook looks good in overalls, that was a good looking truck.Great neighbor for harvesting your beens for you.
Like the old Indian said in The Outlaw Josie Wales, "we must endeavor to persevere". I don't leave comments ever, but i felt the need to leave this one. Keep up the old iron revival perseverance. Trucks, tractors, cars, etc. I did the same for many years way before the internet. Thank you for the videos, i enjoy watching you doing what i can't do anymore.
Gotta love watching these old tractors up and running again
Kevin and Mook you 😂are great at fixing up stuff haveing great video's Training stuff.
Love this series, all about reviving abandoned equipment and actually use it
Did they say if you can get it running. Your welcome to use. Pretty easy. Start. But going to need to rebuild the carburetor, that did the trick. No telling how much trash was in the tank, another great success . Thanks Kevin and Mook. Love you guys . ❤️💯👍
I've learned more about farming in the last 2 years than i have in the previous 55 years. Keep up with the content. Its EdUmActIoNaL.
Kevin......... You have done it again. You won my heart over with another tractor revival and you planted seeds. I'm going to ask you in every video from here on in about the beans. I did it with the corn and what a great series that was. Love these tractor videos. One day maybe, I will find a tractor and rebuild it and drive it. One day. Great video.
Love this. Grew up on an 460 narrow-front with the 2-point fast hitch on the back.
Kevin dropping the stick in the tank, or parts falling off, forgetting to turn fuel back on etc, etc, brings back many days I watched my dad wrench on outboard motors and other mechanical stuff. Quite realistic...
Love the Farmall! Hopefully all the fuel line issues will be resolved real soon. Great Video!
Green acres is the place to be. Farm living is the life for me. You guys should make a tv show.
I'm so glad I got to learn fromy yalls channel. I've grown up around small engines with my father and loved it for years until I got my first little car, it wasn't carburatorated but it was something. Went from that to wanting my dream truck, a 1979 ford f150 4x4 with a 351 in it. Well low and behold my buddy I worm with has finally let me buy his 79 351 extended cab, long wheel and 4x4. This is my first carburatored truck and my dream to work on it to get it running since parked 6 years ago!
How cool to see this 'ol tractor 🚜 come to life & go back to work again!! Great job guys!! Love it! I also feel that @polebarngarage would have had ahh blast out there!!
Cool to see Luke stopped by again and is running the tractor @Junkyard Digs @ThunderHead289
MOOK & Kevin adventures are the best videos ! Go Army
I am having the best flashbacks to when I got the old 656 my grandpa got in trade running again after years of neglect and abuse. I will say that being a diesel, it didn't have the fuel and carb issues your 460 has! And it would have been absolute beast at the 1-point style of farming since both it's 3-point hitch and pto were completely worn out.But then there was the tragic hydraulic/transmission oil leak underneath the floorboard that I could never seem to keep patched. But oh my god would it pull anything you hooked to it! Sadly, I moved away and my grandpa scrapped it for something like $400. I guess you can't save them all no matter how much you wish you could.
This series right here is pure junkyard digs take something that's still got some life and give it back I hope you all do this for years to come
Great video as always And awesome neighbors @Junkyard Digs
I know the old 460 fought you a bit, but what a beautiful old beast!
Love these farming videos, just great seeing old machinery still getting used.
I so glad your planting again keep it up the longer you do it and as you learn the little tricks the better the returns you will get during harvest time
That 250 sx in the background is a hard to find beast these days especially the 86 with white tank and hard light shroud! Love it
Hell yes. Luke and you playing with old red tractors👌 like the old vids but better camerawork. Great job guys.
Kevin you and Mook and family are 😂 looking forward more farmers and 🚘 videos to watch.
Mook needs a baby. Her maternal instincts are strong. Sweet tractor too btw
