there was the most amazing reading of LOTR on youtube, but for some reason it was removed (bc remove something amazingly done in the authors spirit to then sell out to high paying companies to created something atrocious to the serie... siiigh).

wordings and situations are just so much better made (the talk between gimli and Galadriel is exceptionally well done and in the movie it is just kinda shit making Gimli look kinda dumb; honestly the movie really shames the dwarfs in a bad way etc... anyway here is the qoute)

This thought occurs to me. This specific performance is proof that the soul of music is worldwide. Here we have a (quite lovely) Mexican lady, singing a song written by an Irish woman, inspired by a movie directed by a man from New Zealand, based on a book written by an Englishman, who was in his turn inspired by the epic sagas of the Vikings.
And may I add, this rendition gives me joy. Thank you, ma'am for this.

But "May It Be" actually predates the films by quite a bit. But true, yes, music is the language of the soul.
Two things.
1) Your voice fits the song perfectly and I was just stunned hearing this beautiful cover.
2) I love how you don't really care for what's popular right now and just sing whatever you feel like singing. So I can always come here and listen to my all-time favorites - or something entirely new - and enjoy and I don't feel like I'm listening to the same thing over and over again like in other youtube channels. Thank you for staying true to yourself.

It is not many, who can claim that they've brought something to the world that's left it better than it was when they came. But you can. This tears at my soul! Never thought I would hear anyone do this justice other than Enya, but Malukah’s voice is overwhelmingly beautiful. Breathtaking.
Malu, I've loved your music for years now, but even knowing how gorgeous your voice is, I was completely unprepared for how beautiful this was! This is one of my favorite songs by Enya and you captured all of the majesty, grandeur, and beauty that she did in this song. Your voice and hers convey the song differently; your voice has more conviction behind the words, while her voice is lighter and simply makes the words flow smoother.
This was also such a perfect song for the current time we're in. We have a virus that has spread worldwide, and we are currently waiting for a day where the restrictions are gone and we can go outside without fear. I think your song really cares a semblance of HOPE, something that I think we all need right now. I could feel my whole body relaxing and my mind clearing up as I listened to you sing.

Enya does not use only reverb, but record over and over. I am not sure about the exact number as this was many years ago, but in an interview she said On my way home contains 100? (some ridiculous number) individually sung layers. Most Enya covers feels very different due to this.

I cannot hear this song without crying. 😆 happy tears, of course- but I remember when I first heard this song, and knowing that...lord of the rings was over. Hearing it I think back in the last 20 years since the first one came out, it is a song of nostalgia and loss and fond recollection, and this was absolutely beautiful.

Malukah so beautiful. I played this song at my little brother's funeral with some pictures of him and family. He was only 42 years old he loved motorcycles and karaoke and he died on a motorcycle me and him used to ride motorcycles together I sold mine and he did not. The song had so much importance to us. So, lady Judith, lady Malukah. You may not remember but back in October of 2012 I asked if I could use your duet Legend of the Frost as a song during my wife's and my wedding. You and the gentleman you sang that song with gave me permission. I am grateful for that, it took several years for us to have a kid, four years of trying mind you. Now we have a 16 month old son who absolutely loves you. I loaded this up and he instantly became passive laying back into me, all the while with a calm smile upon his face. He usually fussy on days he gets shots, today, yet you and your talent were able to bring a smile upon his face, and calm him as well. Thank you, like always you deliver.
