Thank you sooo much for sharing your recipe. I tried it and this is the first time that I made pandesal that really stayed soft (for three days). I tried several pandesal recipes in the past and they always ended up being hard as a rock the very next day. So thanks again for sharing 😍😍
Thanks for sharing your recipe. My results were not as light and fluffy as yours. I will try it again. Wondering if you weigh your flour, scoop and level or spoon and level. I think the difference in my results was in the amount of flour I used. I may not have had enough flour. Any insight you have would be appreciated :)
Hi Vida, I don’t weigh my flour - I go by how the dough looks and feels. If it’s more wet than my dough that’s still okay as it will put more moisture into your bread but you can add a couple TB of flour so you can work with it. Don’t skip the window test! - yeast quality. Is it expired? Try buying a new packet of yeast (make sure it’s instant yeast) and see if that makes a difference in dough rising - I immediately think it’s something to do with your rising or perhaps how the dough was handled. Did the dough double in size before you baked it? Did you knead the dough too harsh? Also timing of your ingredients will affect the yeast from working- add the butter after the you’ve formed a ball then add your salt last after the butter is fully incorporated into the dough. Hope that helps, let me know how it goes!
@@GenevievesGoodies Thanks for giving me some tips on what to look out for. I can already pinpoint some things I can do differently. I’m going to try it again today 😉 This is a great video!
Hi, making this as we speak! Curious if there's a particular reason to add the salt and butter during kneading rather than mixing in with the other dry and wet ingredients earlier? Thanks!
Hi there, after all my trials and errors, I found that my timing made a difference in my dough's consistency. I like to let the yeast absorb the other liquids first before adding the butter. Salt can retard yeast growth, especially if it comes in direct contact, so that is why I add it last. If you watch my cheese roll video I do the exact opposite of everything I just said and I just add everything together LOL but that is a totally different bread. Hope that helps and hope your pandesal came out wonderful
@@GenevievesGoodies Ah interesting! That makes sense though. I'll have to experiment with some other breads like that as well. I did these in the order you showed here and they came out great! I was the guy who did them with the pineapple bun tops on the FB group the other day. My wife, who's from the Philippines, said she really loved these so I'm making more tomorrow, with yema inside this time!
This recipe is the bomb! Literally the softest pandesal EVER.

Thank you for sharing your recipe! What kind of powdered milk do you use?
Nonfat powdered milk. If I could find full fat, I would use that. Brand not important
Bussin!
Thanks from oklahoma
😊😊😊
I’m going to try this :D
Is the total mixing time you mentioned of 15 minutes, include the kneading time??
until it passes the window test. usually around 10 min but it can take longer especially if kneading with hands

Yummy 😋
which brand of bread flour are you using?
Pan de sal and vanilla ice cream!
yes! yum! 😋
@@GenevievesGoodies So I’m gonna attempt to make your ube halaya and pan de sal! Wish me luck! LOL! Keep the vids coming love your recipes!
Wow Thank You for sharing this recipe. Very informative. Cant wait to try this one. Fr Scarlette Sky Channel. Stay safe and stay connected.
Can you leave it overnight proofing?
Yes, put it in the fridge for overnight proofing and let it come to room temp before you bake it
Would it have the same result as using a bread maker machine?
I've never tried it with a bread maker machine so I'm not sure
Is your bird asking for some pan de sal because it's not stopping chirping...lol
I know right, they are so rude lol
How long in the oven 16 minutes?
16-19 minutes depending on how big the pieces are. I usually pull it out when the color is golden brown like in the video
You said 1/4 cup milk but it looks like your measuring cup is full. That doesnt look like its 1/4 cup only.
