WOW Honey also had a superb voice as well as being a brilliant drummer. You led the way for many girls to follow and fought on through discrimination and adversity. RIP Honey Lantree XX😰😭
@@jacob6657 I was taught by an old chap who was retiring and played drums in a pub when I was 12 (dont laugh). IOt was a true old London pub with me and a pianist, (demolished in the 80's) I only had a snare, and bass drum hi hat and couple of cymbals. Have i the right - came out when I was tiny i loved the sound and Honey was an inspiration. I have always been an advocate of womens rights and she was a true role model for any aspiring female musicians. She was treated very badly back in the day , descrimination happily is now fading from music we hope! I listened to an interview with her, on a chat show where she was physcially pulled off stage by some male audience as they saw her as 'innappropriate' to be a drummer?? RIP Honey X
I first heard The Honeycombs when my mother bought a 60s compilation album. Haven't heard them again in literally decades. A chance YT video brought them back to my attention. I have to say, Honey's vocals were just amazing. There's such a beautiful quality about her voice. So sad too to find that she passed away 6 years ago. However it's so good to know she'd had a good life. RIP Honey. A true one-off ❤
RIP Honey Lantree who would have been 80 today. An excellent drummer who could sing well too as this number shows. The Honeycombs were of course produced by the one and only Joe Meek
2022: a great song from a great band. Bless your memory, Honey Lantree. You broke many barriers in your time and get little credit for it.
Indeed, she was a great and unique drummer.
Thanks very much for listening & watching.
Bloody fantastic 👏 😊 Thank you so much.
Honey Lantree had such a contagious smile, what a cutie she was
Yes, indeed. Thanks very much for listening & watching.
That's her brother on bass, I think?

Thanks for sharing your personal experience.
Unfortunately, discrimination against minorities (and women) still exists today in some countries.
This group were great. They had more going for them. Than many others
Yes, they were great. Thanks very much Kavin.

You're welcome. Thank you for listening & watching.
I hate how The press treated Honey Lantree!. Totally sexist & dismissive of her talent!. RIP Honey, I hope to meet you up there in heaven some day!!
Anne Margot (Honey) Lantree was definitely a good drummer & singer.
懐かしいブリティッシュサウンド 歌に演奏に文句ない
Thanks very much.
