That part about creating a game to make people happy after the disaster in 2011 really struck me. I'm not ashamed to say I teared up a bit. The idea of a team of developers feeling such a strong sense of duty stemming from Miyamoto's philosophy of joy in gaming to make people feel better after such an awful period is really heartwarming.
The 3DS remains as my favorite ever console. So many memories... Reliving Ocarina and Majora's Mask, hunting down monsters in MH3, walking down memory lane with the virtual console games, saving the world in TWEWY, raising hundreds of Pokemon in X and Y, and Sun and Moon... Fantastic system with incredible games.
The Brave/Default mechanic is probably my favourite mechanic in a turn-based RPG. So simple and elegant, yet with a radical effect on gameplay. I really hope they make good on the sequel hook they had in Bravely Second just so I can use that system again with a new set of jobs/bosses.
It only won to the vita because of pokemon, animal crossing and the fact you don't need a memory card to save and that there's SD support. 3DS done badly when it first released before the price drop

@@jimboslim I think because of the phrasing that early builds of Bravely Default played like 3 & 5, it 1) makes no sense to fuck up by showing 6 regardless of "but original localization as 3" and 2) the actual 3 introduced the job system and 5 refined it, which is what they were going for with Bravely Default having that playstyle.

I got Project X Zone 2 because it had Phoenix Wright on the cover. That game introduced me to the God Eater and Yakuza series, which I love to this day. Fantastic game!

Yes! I was going to comment this if no one else pointed it out. I bought that game, and bought the guide on day 1. What a disappointment. The game is only barely okay, but a far fall from the promise that the brand of Paper Mario deserved for that time. Now Paper Mario means not much at all.

Sticker Star is not completely unplayable, but in my opinion it is flawed enough to complain about when compared to the earlier games in the series. My biggest problem was removing experience from battles, and on top of that making stickers one time use. This resulted in me avoiding enemies, and when able running from battles instead of enjoying what should be fun encounters. I played it for 23 hours total, but I don't plan on going back to 100% the game.
Replacing Peach's face with the player's girlfriend? That'll be awkward. Also, Ever Oasis was the last truly original first-party 3DS game, and all everyone said about it was "Bring it to Switch!" It's still good, though.

Ads are fine we all understand it helps you produce more content. However 1 minutes and 16 seconds of ads will either turn off users or just have people going into the comments looking for the actual video start time.

It's funny, because Bayonetta and Dante did wind up crossing over, somewhat. In Shin Megami Tensei D×2 for mobile, they've had both a Bayonetta and a Devil May Cry 5 crossover event, so both characters have appeared in that title, though they never interact.
I think the game I was excited for the most on the 3DS was Metroid: Samus Returns. A nice return to form for Metroid, and very fun. While I do prefer the Prime games, I was ecstatic to see a traditional Metroid game after Federation Force. And hey, we're getting Prime 4 at some point, so that's cool.
