Since vinyl records have sold so well in the last few years, there is now a 10-20 year gap of people who never used a record player, so now younger people are MORE likely to use one. In most stores today the vinyl section is twice the size of the CD one, if not bigger, which hasn't been the case for nearly 40 years

I'm happy that Cing made the decision to make Hotel Dusk (and Last Window) vertical games. It's such a unique mechanic and Cing was really great at doing unique things with their games. I think both games would be quite less interesting (but still definitely a must play) if you didn't play them in a vertical style.
Ah, Game. I played it when I was a young child and have so many memories with it. I revisited in my later childhood years and made even more. In my adulthood I would play it at work. I am now approaching my middle-adulthood and my memories with Game will always stick with me.

The last fact about pokemon taking 3 years to develop just so we get a good game really dampens my heart since they seemed to have changed their attitude to making recent pokemon games
More likely that they have stricter deadlines pushed on them by The Pokémon Company to have the games released on a schedule that aligns with the anime and TCG's schedules. Scarlet and Violet had multiple glitches that even most smaller dev teams wouldn't let happen (like using 2 controllers to double your character's speed). No studio WANTS to release games in that state, it's pretty clear that it's an outside source.
Dude I bet working at game freak is hell, I just know the Pokémon company will never give them enough time for their games. We already saw how much potential they have recently with legends
AAA games nowadays typically take 4-7 years to make and that's with teams of hundreds of people as well. GameFreak don't have that time or that size team, so their games are going to be lackluster.

Apart from my dad's original Gameboy and N64 the DS was my first gaming system and it will always be special to me. I bought a DSi a year ago and was surprised to find out how well many of the games hold up, although a lot of them suffered from devs trying to include touch more than made sense. But still it's one of the few systems where emulation doesn't come close to original hardware since it's so unique.

Fun fact! European DS game Actionloop is possibly the only game capable of adding extra content/stages to a GBA cart. If you have Polarium for the GBA inserted in slot-2 of an old DS and boot Actionloop there will be options in settings to unlock two tile sets and transfer 10 themed special stages. As far as I know, there is not a single other DS title that can add new content to an older GBA title in this way. Even the American version of Actionloop, Magnetica, did not offer this unlock feature. This is potentially because Magnetica was released before Polarium in the US, where in Europe it was the other way around.

Uhhh... So the reason of why Heartgold and Soulsilver are one (if not) the best Pokémon games in the franchise it's due that people on Game Freak did really care about the legacy Gold, Silver and Crystal left, it's hearthbreaking hearing that and comparing it to newer Pokémon games, where they are just rushed and uncomplete messes that aren't made with either soul or heart. That made me cry.
It's worth noting that, until the Pixel Remasters, the 3D remake of FF3 was the only version of the game to be released outside of Japan, and the only time the game had been re-released period. For comparison, by the time FF3 DS was released, FF1 had been re-released/remade five times, FF2 four times, FF4 three times, and FF5 and 6 twice each. FF3 was the only mainline game pre-FF7 that wasn't released on GBA, and the only one pre-FFX that wasn't released on PS1. So as of 2006, FF3 was the only mainline 2D FF game to never be released outside of Japan, and up through 2021 was the only one not playable in its original 2D (since the PSP and PC versions were both ports of the DS remake, not the original Famicom version). Honestly, probably the biggest deal about the Pixel Remasters for me was that it was the first time 2D FF3 had been re-released in *32 years.*
Really a shame that even in the Japanese versions, Kris and the roulette card flip were scrapped from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire really did not have any Emerald stuff.

BF and Gym Leader rematches offered lots of replay value, especially for those who want to 100% the games or who liked the challenges. Even HGSS had Platinum's Battle Frontier in the postgame, and that was a welcome addition. There was similar outrage with the Diamond and Pearl remakes, most people lamented the fact that these games didn't have any of the features and characters that made Platinum great. It's sad to see that GameFreak is taking less and less development time for the recent pokemon games, given the ridiculous time constraints and whatnot.

While there is no replay value in just beating Gym leaders you have already beaten what is why nobody cared about Gen 4 remakes Gym leader rematches, not to mention Platinum didn't add any great "features and characters" outside of the distortion world because most of Platinum's content is just changing and finishing content from the clearly unfinished original Diamond and Pearl games...

It's worth noting that, until the Pixel Remasters, the 3D remake of FF3 was the only version of the game to be released outside of Japan, and the only time the game had been re-released period. For comparison, by the time FF3 DS was released, FF1 had been re-released/remade five times, FF2 four times, FF4 three times, and FF5 and 6 twice each. FF3 was the only mainline game pre-FF7 that wasn't released on GBA, and the only one pre-FFX that wasn't released on PS1.
So as of 2006, FF3 was the only mainline 2D FF game to never be released outside of Japan, and up through 2021 was the only one not playable in its original 2D (since the PSP and PC versions were both ports of the DS remake, not the original Famicom version).
Honestly, probably the biggest deal about the Pixel Remasters for me was that it was the first time 2D FF3 had been re-released in *32 years.*

Really a shame that even in the Japanese versions, Kris and the roulette card flip were scrapped from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire really did not have any Emerald stuff.
To be fair it's not like there was anything worth wile to be taken from Emerald anyways.

@@LuigiTheMetal64 Not really when neither of those are good/worth while content, what is why most new games stopped including content like that as players didn't bother wasting they'r time with those.
@@V-Jes Lol, nearly everyone was upset about the Emerald Battle Frontier missing and being replaced in ORAS. BF and Gym Leader rematches offered lots of replay value, especially for those who want to 100% the games or who liked the challenges. Even HGSS had Platinum's Battle Frontier in the postgame, and that was a welcome addition. There was similar outrage with the Diamond and Pearl remakes, most people lamented the fact that these games didn't have any of the features and characters that made Platinum great. It's sad to see that GameFreak is taking less and less development time for the recent pokemon games, given the ridiculous time constraints and whatnot.
@@CarliVala and by everyone you mean loud minority who are looking for excuses to say a new game is bad as most fans haven't even played Emerald, let alone it's post game battle facilities. While there is no replay value in just beating Gym leaders you have already beaten what is why nobody cared about Gen 4 remakes Gym leader rematches, not to mention Platinum didn't add any great "features and characters" outside of the distortion world because most of Platinum's content is just changing and finishing content from the clearly unfinished original Diamond and Pearl games...
