Wow! In stock and MSRP! Slightly jealous.
Just ordered mine from PSA. Tomorrow can’t come quick enough
This gun is not meant to be carried "cocked and locked." It's a double-action/single-action meant to be carried "half-cocked and unlocked" (i.e., half-cocked with the manual safety off). The half-cocked hammer with the double-action trigger is the safety carry option for this gun: it will require the first trigger pull to be heavier and longer (for safety's sake)--the functional equivalent of carrying and shooting a double-action revolver with uncocked hammer--and it will not require that extra step of flipping the safety off before firing, but after the first shot, all subsequent shots will give all the speed and accuracy advantages of a hairpin single-action trigger--the functional equivalent of shooting a revolver single action every shot if the revolver were magic and instantly cocked the hammer itself for you after each shot.
It’s not “meant” to be carried “quarter cocked.” It’s one of the two intended options. The aforementioned for the DA guys. And for the 1911 guys who instinctually ride the safety on draw, throw an extended safety on there and carry condition one. Either or is fine depending on your preference. Just don’t throw an extended firing pin on it if you intend to carry. One thing that is a misconception. You’ll find in page 8 of the cz manual. DO NOT use the safety when carrying quarter cocked. It can potentially damage the seer. Coming up on 7k rounds downrange on my s2c without a single failure. Lok brass palms & extended mag release. Vytal brass basepads that I’ve duracoated black. Dpm recoil system. Eeman ultimate steel trigger. And. 507k Vulcan but probably swapping that to my sig and putting my green eps mrs on the cz.
Cz manual advises against engaging the safety while in half cock position. I was going to swap out the safety for an extended one but they haven't been in stock for months and I've gotten used to this one. Only thing I'm considering is LOK palm swell grips. It is a fantastic firearm out of the box.
I'm getting palm swell grips because my trigger finger hits my thumb when I'm pulling the trigger.
hopefully the extra circumference will mostly fix that.
A P10 Optics plate fits the S2C as well, if you want to keep a rear sight get the C&H precision Shadow 2 plate that uses a rear Glock sight. Mec-Gar 19 round mags are around $34 right now. This is a great pistol, even better with the LOK brass grips! Nice review.
Impact machine plate is a good option too, cheaper and has rear sight
I had the p10c c&h optics plate. Will that still work? If so that’ll save me a bunch of
Thanks for the detailed review. I shoot a Shadow 2 in USPSA and I'm thinking about picking one of these up for CCW or even as an emergency backup competition gun. As for carrying the gun, I'd carry it hammer down because I'm used to starting in double action, because that's how we have to start in Carry Optics. I have never once used the safety on mine 🙂
Watching your reviews are such a treat. Really well spoken and keep a good flow, never really dragging. Also dope gun. Makes me love that I went with my Canik because the amount of high end features for a good price and phenomenal shooting. Great job 👏
Thank you!
Picked one up mid December. I like it alot.
Is the bore really lower or is it an illusion because you see less of the slide with the rail on the inside?
Honestly, looks sick as hell boss
CZ Shadow intended to carry with double action mode - i this case minimalistic safety is better. You can install CZ OEM extended safety if you prefer to carry it cocked and locked.
It takes almost all parts from standard shadow so yea if you don’t like the standard cz75 safety u can put the extended one on it.
You could just use the double action feature and carry it with the hammer down. Which is kind of the benefit of the DA/SA function.
I'm a new shooter and this is my first DA/SA. I thought that, like a revolver, I just have to load the rounds and pull the DA trigger to fire. However, it just goes click because I didn't rack the slide. To carry hammer down or half cocked, I guess you have to insert the magazine, rack the slide, manually decock, and then carry? I prefer not to have to manually decock every time.
Just waiting for my holster before I start to EDC this pistol. Its an awesome shooter.
Such a great shooter!
I'm on a list to get one hopefully by next month.
Good choice! Such a nice gun!
Sorry I meant your double action is your safety.
Woo-Hoo, great pistol.
I shoot so well with this at the range even though I'm a new shooter. I don't want to have to rack the slide manually, drop the hammer, and half cock the hammer to carry half cocked. I prefer to fully cock it and use the (extended) safety.
Got mine a couple weeks ago, have a few hundred rounds through it... the only thing I feel like I gotta change before it could become my EDC is the mag release. The placement and size...force me to pretty dramatically shift my grip to change mags.
Other than that.....LOVE this gun. Getting an EPS Carry for it too.
Go with the EPS. The EPSc is way too small for this gun. I can live with the EPSc on a micro gun, but a compact deserves a bigger window.
@@Osprey1994doesn’t the EPS hang over the sides of the frame though?
TY - I run the carry on my XMacro, was JUST looking at the EPS vs EPSc ...ty ty

Love my S2C 🔥🥃🇺🇸
Pick mine up this weekend! 🍻
Picked mine up 2 days ago. Love it! 😎
Now if I could only buy one! ☹️
If you’re half cocked, you should not put the safety on so says CZ . And yes, half cocked as how I would carry that gun. .
Hey CZ fans… Are any safeties tactile for cz75’s etc? Want to find a replacement for my B&T/Sphinx that actually clicks… if there’s parts interchangeability
Heard there’s a spring that you can put in this S2C to make the safety more tactile. People been pairing that with the full size shadow2 safety.
Would you call it "concealable"?
Safety- No issues here
Where can I find a store that sells this gun? I'm looking to add it to my collection but haven't had any luck.
Yeah, they're pretty much out of stock everywhere at the moment :/
So do the regular shadow 2 mags work in this?
Yes
Any ammo recommendation ?
It ate everything I fed it. Doesn't seem to be ammo picky at all.
The frames aluminum so it cant rust
Forget using the safety. Your single action is your safety. Cocked and locked is for single action only autos.
I never understood metal grips. Wood is so much prettier.
If you have enough time to take the the safety off you have enough time to pull the hammer back manually imo
In a real defensive situation you most likely you won't have time to do anything but f*ck up your draw while in a panic under stress with an attacker basically in contact with you.
If you're able to take off the safety off good luck. Especially if they're stuffing your draw or in contact with your hands. Better to just carry in half cock, way safer on the manly bitz and the draw is long so you have to deliberately set the firearm off. Which is good in a defensive situation because you an by to be sure you need to fire, don't want to accidently fire. I've heard this trigger is super light on the reset.
How is CZ so underrated
Stop saying this shit. CZ isn't even close to underrated. They make the premier comp gun. We hold competitions at the club and you just see Shadow 2's everywhere.
Usually true gun enthusiasts, know about CZ. Also Americans sleeping on it as CZ is one at the top of the food chain around the world.
It isn’t. One of the most, if not the most copied design alongside the 1911. The number 1 competition gun. And one of the most respected nato approved duty platforms of all time. There are just a lot more vocal people pushing/buying cheap polymer production stuff like Glock in the states. And the actual enthusiasts are too busy at their clubs and in comps shooting their better firearms.

Bought one yesterday from eurooptic. Shipped same day, will be here tomorrow. Haven't told the wife yet. Been cruising for a nice holster today but have only been finding generic kydex. Would really like a nice leather iwb.
Hope you enjoy it!
ANR design makes a good looking appendix holster. I'm probably going with one of those. Also Wright leather works makes a nice leather holster owb for the shadow 2 compact w/optic cut. Not sure if they make an iwb, they might?
@@rcwarrior868 thank you. I'll take a look.
I would get kydex. A good kydex holster will not wear on the slide but instead on the trigger guard or the light (if you have a light).
@@MikeHoxafloppinCrossbreed might make one for S2C. Not sure though.
