Hey - I just used your links and did this. Thanks! New to blackbox, loving it so far. My current setup is using blackbox with a keystep pro. Getting ideas down quick, and less cables is good for my brain. Cheers

Dude. I love this little set-up. While the case is a cool part of it, the velcro strip for the battery is the part I love. I was trying to figure out a way to get the battery close like that and never considered such a simple solution. I may have to implement this sooner than later. I'm very used to adding rubber feet to things, as I have a guitar pedalboard that uses zip ties, so the rubber feet on pedal bottoms is needed.
I just got the stuff all in the other day. Works nice and I've already been using my Blackbox more now that it's so portable. The velcro stuff made me want to put a strip on my Keystep also so I can attach a battery to it.
@@chrisb3389 Thats so great to hear and I love that it is making you use the BB even more! I myself have also been thinking a lot about what else I could make more portable/ battery powered with the same idea. I have even seen some option for gear like the Elektron stuff with the Myvolts USB cables to power even larger gear. I like being able to get out of the studio and still work on stuff.
@@_justin_joe I know I've seen people use some type of battery and rip cord for the Roland MC707 I have. I figure if they can do it with that, it's surely possible with the Elektron stuff. The only bummer I ran into was trying to use the same type battery I have for the Blackbox for my Keystep keyboard. It works at first and then the Keystep freezes. Not sure what that is. Wasn't specific to the BB, as it also did it when connected to the 707, in both cases using the 5-pin MIDI out. I need to verify if maybe I got a dud battery next. I really liked the idea of a battery velcro-d to the keyboard to throw in a backpack with the BB. I'll update if I figure out what the issue was.
