The Secret to Overcoming Your Problems - Teal Swan

  • Most self-improvement techniques don't work. And they don't work for one giant reason. They put you at war with yourself. They pit one aspect of yourself against another aspect of yourself. Have you ever noticed that it feels like you cannot overcome your problems no matter how hard you try? Well I'm here to tell you today that you cannot overcome your problems because; you cannot overcome what is inside yourself or part of yourself. As soon as you identify with something, it IS you. And from that point forward, to try to overcome those things, is to put one part of you at war with another part of yourself. Even negative traits (which are part of you) can never be eradicated from you. They can only be transformed into their highest aspect.
    So what is the solution? The solution is Exaltation. The concept of exaltation is an ancient alchemy concept. Simply put, to exalt something is to transform something into its highest spiritual aspect. For example, the old alchemists thought that the exalted form of metal was gold. If we are to live better lives, where we are not continually made unhappy by our negative personality traits, we must take each personality trait we do not like and first recognize it within ourselves. We must then accept it by both owning it and finding a way to approve of it. And then we must find a way to amplify that personality trait into it's most in alignment or exalted expression.
    In this episode, Teal explains the process of exaltation.

    It cannot be more true! I used to hate that over sensitive, neurotic, anxious, introverted me and was always worried how could I possibly deal with life. Now I became a picture book artist and transfer all my neurosis and sensitivities into art making and I cannot feel happier everyday!

    Exaltation of LAZINESS means that you, more than other people, need to find ways to do in life what you really love doing and transform that activity into a "lifetime career and hobby" or you are destined to suffer all your life. First step could be to find out what you really really love doing...

      Exaltation of laziness is that you have a strong emotional guidance and you know what’s wrong for you, that also means you know what’s right for you, and you can trust yourself to protect yourself in all situations.

    Ohhhh Carl Jung, where are you when we need you so? in his psychology, he promoted acknowledging, and understanding of our 'shadow side'. not only because it IS a part of ourselves, but *specifically* to avoid war within and against ourselves. he taught that the more you either deny it or push it down, the worse it will be when you/your soul cant handle it anymore, and *that* is when bad things happen. often *very* bad.

      He was into "woo" and had visions and believed a lot of metaphysical things, which is delightful. Its opening up the psychology field to it; they're teaching to raise vibrations, suggest meditation and yoga, and more. Its exciting seeing evolution in action!♡

    This was exactly what I needed to hear just now. I have become very depressed inside, and part of me felt that this was not okay and that I had some important responsibility to end my sadness, confusion and lack of energy. But listening to your video I began to realize that this deep depression is exactly what is fostering my abilities of compassion and forgiveness. It is making those qualities a part of me as much as the sadness is. it really helps to view it that way.

    “Self-evolution” needs to be recognized for the relatively slow process that it is. And gimmicks and techniques don't work because the changes we want to make need to happen down deep inside, at the "being level," not at a surface, intellectual level.
    A diligent meditative practice is the only way that I know of to access these deeper levels of our consciousness. But with consistency, the changes that occur within us begin to happen at a surprisingly fast pace.
    I am such a different and much-improved person than I was even a year or two ago that it amazes me. I have become so much more loving and caring toward others. And when people treat me negatively from time to time (as happens to us all), it hardly even phases me any more. My "normal" human response before I began to “grow up,” spiritually, would have been to lash back out at them in anger. But now that impulse is gone. I just feel bad that they're still stuck in their shallow "ego prison" - where other people are often seen as adversaries, rather than understanding the fact that we really are all one.
    I believe this is the reason we are all here in this mysterious existence: to transform ourselves into optimally loving people. It’s the best gift we can give to ourselves and to the world. Cheers!

    Embracing yourself & your traits can be hard if you have a painful past. I find that slowly accepting the past and looking at it positively and taking that lesson and inspiring others helps a lot. The number one reason we tend to be unhappy and blame others for making us feel bad, is we don't love ourselves enough and expect others to take that responsibility for us. Its constant work and quite the joinery through human experience but that is what makes life so interesting and special. I appreciate this channel:) It is our will to be happy and loved. Chose to be happy and loved and it will be exactly how you see it.

    Depending on the situation and my mood, I can be somewhat shy as well. I also somewhat introverted most of the time (except at work). I use these traits to do things that do not require and/or involve other people in the room with me. For example, I enjoy researching online and then sharing what I've learned with others who are interested. I used to beat myself up for being an introvert. But I see the benefits of that trait these days.

    One more thing that has been of great help to me is self-analysis, such as shadow work. I've been analyzing myself and the world for about 13 years. It's something that just came naturally to me and, if not for that, I probably wouldn't have overcome depression.

    Transmuting negative thoughts and traits by enhancing or amplifying them so they can be utilized in the highest manner is what a lot of people call change. My point is that personal change happens when people are ready for it no matter what you call it. I like that you've given some very simple, easy to follow instructions for those who suffer from negative thoughts & behaviors. Transforming or transmuting the self hating life long beliefs and behavior into a productive constructive behavior is brilliant. And just for the record, Religion and Spirituality are two different things. Religion comes from man Spirituality comes from within. which is as close to God as we can get.

    this is in sync with what i've been feeling and thinking lately... i started embracing my negative emotions because I know that they are important and it's not my fault i have them, i just have them and should be at peace with them... i shouldn't have to be happy just to show others a side of me that isn't real... i should embrace my emotions and trust that any sadness i may feel will heal in time but not by rushing myself and resisting those emotions but by embracing it and having patience with it. It's also a way of allowing... allowing myself to be me while trusting that all things i need will fall into place.

      I think different people have different pathways and are at different points in their spiritual journey's. For those that are a match to her vibration they understand her. Those who are not a match, may need a different path to facilitate their spiritual growth or maybe some time to be ready to hear what she is saying. :D Remember a lot of the time when we ask the question, we are not ready to hear the true answer.

      Haha Arby's Beef 'N' Cheddars. You crack me up. Yes we often need to adjust to the way our guids, guardians and higher selves communicate with us. I often feel so blessed, being a channeler I can just ask straight out, but still the answers can come out cryptic and I need to take some time to understand them, not to mention release my own resistance to them.

    I think what you are saying here can prove very beneficial. However I don't think it's the only answer. There are certain aspects, weaknesses of myself that I wanted to change and improve, and using hypnosis has made a drastic & incredible difference for me. I had tried other things too, and while they were helpful, hypnosis has been the real kicker. Sometimes our fears cover up who we truly are, and finding ways to release those fears help us to shine brighter and be our authentic selves.

      I made a depression ''because of anxiety''. (because anxiety is a symptom in my opinion) What I did to get out of it is that at each time I felt anxiety, I took the time to ask myself why I felt like this. What thought has made me anxious, at the same moment I felt a rise of anxiety. Then I tried to replace the thought. For exemple, if someone look at me and I think it's because I'm ugly, I will feel a rise of anxiety, then I stop, and realize I just assumed he/she thought I was ugly, and then I would think instead ''I don't know why he/she looked at me, that's why I won't assume, and we don't know that might be positive ;)''. It looks like that

      @@MCJOHNSON95 I can tell you it works wonderfully. Also you'll learn to be more positive and optimistic
      Do not replace your initial negative thought with a positive thought you don't believe in. For exemple, if you think you're ugly, don't tell yourself ''I'm beautiful'', cause you don't believe it.

      Maybe you can show how to let go and lose control. Many people are obsessed and trapped by desire for control, so you could provide balance for those who need to let go. Also in an emotional standpoint, many people are very bottled and emotionally over-controlled. You could work with anorexics/bulemics- enormous obsession with control and limitation in that community.

      I gave a few ideas on that under someone else's comment. About the loss of control... You give permission to yourself to relieve the pain and go for your desires. You are avoiding the pressure of being over-controlling. You decide to deal with pain on your own, without troubling others. You are probably caring and generous. It makes you more compassionate for people losing control in any area of their life.

    HI teal, before when we came into this incarnation, we agreed to the terms and conditions that we will encounter here. Our parents, the conditions that we will be born, the life that we will live etc. but we also agreed, how we will deal with it! we agreed that we will not remember the conversation that we had with that council. so we must embrace the condition that we were born under, and the circumstances of our childhood. we must not see them as ''bad'' because we agreed to them! what we must do however, is deal with them with love. use our childhood circumstances, as tools, to motivate us to become higher beings. after all, that is what we agreed to. obviously most people would say, that if I did meet a council before I was incarnated here, I would not have chosen to live this life! and they would add! ''do you know what I went through! you think that I was be so stupid to agree to come to this! I was raped repeatedly! you think that I would have agreed to be raped and butchered like that!" and so much more. If we look at the bigger picture of our life. we will not see suffering. we will see this incarnation as an opportunity to grow into a higher being. thank you for being a part of my incarnation today.

  • @Chyllstorm
    @Chyllstorm 9 років тому +4

    What about when problems are presented by society? I'm disabled from anxiety, and can no longer work because our society mandates 6-7 day work weeks. It demands deadlines, and supervision. If you try to go alone an set your own rules, you're disadvantaged to those complying.
    For instance, a business that tells it's client a project will take eight months will never get the contract over the others saying they'll do it in two. Since we have bills,we require mandatory minimum income per month. I can't chance "trying" to work on my own, because if (as is likely) I can not compete, I will be unable to pay for food, rent, entertainment,etc.
    I still am waiting to hear how to overcome the problems OTHER people make in their control over you simply through how we've established society.

      Jaym Esch If your anxiety is so bad that you can no longer work, maybe you're trying to suppress or ignore its messages. What is your relationship with your anxiety? How do you honor it in your life?

    • @Chyllstorm
      @Chyllstorm 9 років тому +1

      +icyangel13 I don't understand those concepts in this context. My relationship with anxiety disorder (genetic) is thst it ruined my life. I don't honor it, it provides no positives.
      The issue is societal constructs that don't mesh with my disorder. I am limited in what I can do, and thise limitations prevent me from fitting in any work environment. I can't work from home (I don't gave my own place anyways) because I can't guarantee enough income each month since I can't compete on a deadline or amount of work basis.
      I can't be supervised, or held to deadlines. (Been there in my 20s, it nearly killed me.) I can't serve people or work phones. No travel, even locally. I don't work better in a team- I always have to compensate for their mistakes. I can't work dangerous jobs, even if just the locale (no warehouses or factories). No outdoors work. No overtime. I must create something, and I must use a non-archaic computer to do so... However, my training is long gone and I can't keep up with the college kids willing to make the same mistakes I did working 7 days a week, 10-24 hour days (for 8 straight years in my case).
      I can think all I want- it won't change society into 4 day, 8 hour work weeks with livable wages and benefits. It also can't lowrr my age, so I face age discrmination/challenges in anything I pursue.

We reached the same wall before I was discontinued from access at no cost (which makes it a no-go)- I can't fit in the environments that exist and can't compete on my own without embracing the same type of environment that would basically kill me in the end. She agreed I had done nothing wrong in my career actions or choices, and was not responsible for my circumstances. There simply are no answers as is in this society.

    +MrMichael4567 I find skeptics much easier to deal with than religious enthusiasts. I like to line my experiences and beliefs up with science. And as for those who want to say it, yes all the parts that science hasn't discovered yet is a belief of mine to you, but having experienced it, it is a truth of mine to me. It is not necessary for our truths to match. They never will it is impossible in this reality. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT. If you are skeptic, religious or otherwise trying to push your truth on to others is a waste of your beautiful energy. And you will often feel frustrated along with a range of other negative emotions. I will always stand up for the right to believe what I want. But it is not necessary to me for all to believe what I believe. We all arrive at universal law in our own time and trying to compare how far along the spiritual journey we each are. That is if someone is further than another is impossible from our own perspective. It is not up to us to prove the earth is round. It is truth, you can't escape it, eventually it proves itself.

    • @theconcreteshamans
      @theconcreteshamans 10 років тому +1

      Natalie Turner "And you will often feel frustrated along with a range of other negative emotions." Is frustration a negative emotion? as it is, it is an emotional response to opposition. And I know we've talked about raising my vibration and that's had some very weird effects for me. I really wish someone would help me unpack in private exactly what's going on with me suddenly being aware and also from Edgar Cayce's hometown. This was not something I even cared about until recently and it means nothing except that there is "something" going on with that and I cannot figure out why I placed him as a character in one of my books years ago, etc. etc. etc.
      I get barraged with negative stuff every time I mention it. There are things that people don't know about all that because I can never get to the point before... well. I don't care all that much but there are some things "very different" in my experience but I get frustrated because I can never say them. And maybe I am not supposed to say them and just keep it to myself. But I think it could really help people and it has to do with suicide and soul transfers and a bunch of stuff I don't have words for.
      " It is not necessary for our truths to match. They never will it is impossible in this reality. WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT." So true and we are all going through it differently :)

    This is so flawed. The traits you are describing are symptoms of trauma. People generally
    cannot or will not admit that they deliberately hurt others. People always want to think of themselves as generally good. If people with bad traits that hurt others are confronted about those behaviours, they become defensive insulted and may even retaliate. If someone was to admit to themselves that they deliberately hurt other people, they would not want to stay with that knowledge of themselves and would want to either deny or get rid of these traits. They can get rid of these traits by healing their scars from trauma.

      tinker bell I agree with you. A bully can use that pain by transforming it into coaching/training people....
