She never stops being gorgeous. You can notice the difference between her earlier videos where she rarely smiles and occasionally giggles but now you can see her steady, constant joy in her words, almost a brand new person these days. That is evidence to me that what she preaches, she practices, and she gets her own results. I've gained a great amount of ground from her work. So my takeaway here is that during trauma the focus must be healing, not forgiveness. As trauma heals, you rise to the frequency of forgiveness, the level where the trauma blends into the background of life. This is nicely profound yet so practical.
This woman is the literal god send that brought me up to become the person I am today. Ive been watching her videos for 12 years. That is the answer to that question that came up later - "why can't people just move one finally?" - obviously, because they are being invalidated instead of considered by others, the very basic need of understanding, compassion and consideration by their loved ones wasn't met. It's not something they can just drop or do completely on their own. We are social creatures after all and our inner circle has to consist of people who are trustworthy, compassionate, capable of considering the needs of others and offering help to meet those needs. Otherwise there is no moving on. The only moving on we can do in a situation when we are not considered by the people that are closest to us, is to get away form those inconsiderate people who don't want to understand our perspective, who don't want to help us overcome the problem or change themselves to be more compassionate, because they showed us that they shouldn't even be in our inner circle in the first place if they add to our suffering instead of actively helping us to overcome it. Yeah, when you experience healing from pain and trauma, you love the process of mining the box, you don't want to finish with it, you don't mind about the boxes anymore, they are there to teach you something, work with them and expand ourselves. Their existence no longer bothers you because you know how to deal with them and the gift they bring along.
I love the agree to disagree part about "dropping the box of trauma". Everyone who have followed Teal for a while will understand why this is problematic. Massive spiritual bypassing by the host! Very interesting conversation. 🙏
I agree. I felt a bit awkward there. But I know many people believe the same simply because they are too scared. Its brave to go to the path of opening the boxes and life is always better after!
@@helenswale2053It's very uncomfortable to face, come to understand and integrate the parts of you that you have disowned, because you "put them away" for a good reason in the first place. To bring them back threatens connections that were gained or maintained by rejecting those parts of yourself. I get why you wouldn't want to even acknowledge that they exist or need any of your love or attention for that specific reason. Yet I hope that people can see how that is self abandonement. This type of inner work, integration of the "shadow", can be very scary, uncomfortable, challenging etc, however it does lead to actual improvement. This other type of positive focus, affirmation, law of attraktion (not that there is anything wrong with these things as part of a bigger toolbox) type of spirituality may seem really comfortable and fun and all kinds of wonderful at first, but how do you know that what you manifest, all the cars and houses and clients are really what you actually want, if you are coming from a space of fragmentation and trauma? Yes you can do a lot of things by force and effort and by pretending and selectively identifying but how do you know that the result that comes from that is good for you if you won't even get to know yourself first? Just my thoughts on the matter.
Thank you for interviewing Teal Swan. The host seemed to be more interested in preserving the status quo of his beliefs and his coaching practice than to get to take the opportunity to learn something that would be useful for himself and his clients. Whether he would learn to change his approach or learn to double down on it.
Yeah from the point he said they have different opinions on a topic and moved on, it felt like the interviewer lost interest in the answers to the rest of his questions and was just getting through them quickly as possible 🫤
@@RiverstoneSHC he’s a man from India. He’s going to have a lot of beliefs a that are not so healthy concerning powerful women like Teal unfortunately and he might not be consciously aware of it, but it will show through clearly people are noticing his dismissiveness with her .
Exactly my feeling. He was not able to be challenged by a different paradigm. He may need time to reconsider the interview and how it might ultimately empower him
He had some great questions and I overall enjoyed this interview but he was not brave enough to go deep and critique his own belief systems and so this is a stuck place
has anyone noticed that teal tends to giggle at odd times? not just in this interview but all the time. I think she’s brilliant which is why I’m so familiar with her work, but have always found this so odd and a little distracting
I think the problem with “dropping the box” is that it doesn’t disappear. That box full of and made out of yourself has now been cut off, disowned, and abandoned by you. You’re essentially saying these are the parts of me have no worth and anyone or anything with those qualities will also get your cold shoulder and be thrown at you unendingly until you choose to see them.
Love this! Yesss! Full Acceptance is a whoooooole procesa, but it does take to look unto the box and offering your incondicional Love to what’s inside of it, not abandoning it (you). Beautifully put Its doable. Its necessary.. Its so worth it. You are. We are. We can take it, and we will totally grow form doing so 💖🌟
This popped up on my feed and I'm happy it did! I stumbled across Teal a couple of years ago and really found her videos insightful. She was one of the first people who I heard talk about shadow work. In this interview she is so polished and you can really feel her genuineness come through. She's definitely living her purpose and I'm thankful she's here for everyone. Thank you Teal!
I have listened to many of her interviews and I feel like she has some very interesting perspectives worth considering, but the more I watch her, the more exhausting it feels. She reminds me of people like Jordan Peterson, whom I also enjoy listening and reading from. However, their minds are constantly branching out into the next perspective, constantly reasoning, playing with words, looking for different view points, which is fun, and existential. But after reading or listening to people like them, I then realize that I rather keep it simple and surrender like what Lao Tzu said all along… Stop searching and you will be seen, Stop running away and you will be found, Let the mud settle so you can see the water, Life is full of spontaneous changes, let things flow and stop swimming against it, embrace life as it is. I do think all become a little mad before getting to that point of surrender 😂
I relate to it being mind boggling sometimes! I've been listening to Teal for years and used to have to pause her videos several times through watching them just to get my head around it, as her teachings are so profound when you really understand them. Whilst she's always adding more and going deeper, the core pillars of her teachings remain the same, but she unpacks them in different ways to help different people understand them. She does encourage her followers to focus on/work on applying just one of her teachings at a time to get the most out of it. You definitely have to be in the right mindset to digest her work X
@@RiverstoneSHC I appreciate and enjoy her perspectives but I don’t idolize them or consider them teachings or anyone a teacher/guru. Our inner guidance and intuition is our highest source of information. I see her as another person with some interesting perspectives that I can take from or not depending on my path. I am past that mindset of being a follower to any “teacher”. I hope more people know how great they already are, and they already have the answers within them.
Jordan Peterson stayed married to his wife. And she is loyal to him. And everything Jordan went thru with social media fame. His wife and children helped him over come his own problems
I call it “ the good selfish “ when we want to help in order to reduce our pain or increase our pleasure. It is perfectly natural and is very helpful. Thank you for normalizing that which IS normal. ❤
Yes! I use something like "Beautiful selfishness" - altough i mostly use a Czech version since that´s my first language. But yes, there is nothing wrong with selfishness i believe, to me, it just means realising and accepting that I really do seem to be the most important person in my life and acting accordingly. It has nothing to do with acting like an asshole or without concerns for others. As i see it is, the word has a negative connotation and one can blow that connotation off more easily than blowing out a candle.
@@katherinemalster5596 yes, I call self interest “ the good selfish “ just to make a point, and stated that wanting to help self and others because it feels good is a natural and healthy instinctual incentive.
I'm studying counselling at the moment and I love Teal's approach. it feels like truth to me...maybe hard truth for some but I believe her processes actually move the needle...
”We meet needs (we seek happiness) in both healthy and unhealthy ways. To explain what I mean, let's look at some healthy and unhealthy ways that we can meet needs”. Teal Swan (from the article: Relationships and The Six Human Needs). Thank you both for this interview 🌎😘
The work Teal speaks of has a place. I have done that go-into-the-trauma-work and experienced intensely and then there was a time to move on, and work forward. I don’t feel, at least in my experience, that the “back” work is the end all be all and only goes so far, it’s limited.
Teal's definition of healing is to: To think thoughts, speak words and do actions, in the direction of it. Some people really overlook the action part. And of course, some people overlook the inner knowing.
This is frightening to me. I love Teal and how she keeps it all real. And the fact that it's real is frightening to me. Because it means that I cannot heal until I find someone who is protective of me. I've never had such person who is on my side. Even the people who claim to love me don't side with me. I need an advocate for me. I'm afraid I'll never get any.
If you do not have access to a coach, counselor, therapist, mentor, confidant who you feel amazing around because everything they say and do builds up your self esteem... Begin to watch others who you feel so warm and comfortable around. Who feel trustworthy, kind, and compassionate to you. Then practice mimicking what they say and what they do on yourself. Say the kind things they say to others and to themselves, to yourself. Do the compassionate things they do for others and for themselves, for yourself. By this way, you can begin to re-parent yourself. Just as a child intently watches those around them and learns the "rules" and their worth, you can do the same. But this time, you get to decide who you learn from. This is self-empowerment. This is you taking your power back.
YES it is an end to healing!! Clearing the energy that bothers you- it will take some time but it is an end. Only when you do healing more from your mental it will never be an end!
Been watching teal since October 2018! Thank god for her. I am so proud of myself for how FAR I have come and how much her processes have aided me in healing and creating a good life and great future🤘❤🥰
Forgiveness is being able to in one's own heart, wish someone who has hurt them well in spite of what they have done or not done. This may manifest in different ways, for example prayer of good will for them when there is no contact either immediately after the offense, or after healing has taken place.
Exactly. Yet so many people confuse that with just getting back to the relationship as it was, which is no healing at all. It happens a lot in toxic families, where people victimiser eachother and instead of trying to solve anything, they only try to guilttrip the victim into obedience by asking over and over "why can't you just forgive that person? move on already, it's old news" and then they reverse the scenario and act like they are the victim, when the person who was intitially hurt by them actually moves on and lives a more distant life. I've been there. I wish everybody who hurt me well in life, I wish them to heal and be happy, but I don't wish to subject myself to their abuse anymore. I'm done, I want to find people who are able to treat me better and give my energy to them. I want to be respected, understood and considered. If somebody doesn't want to treat me with respect, understanding and consideration, then we don't have to see eachother. I want to be considerate of my own needs. I want to be able to function in life, not to disrespect myself by interacting with you before you are ready to take accountability for the pain you caused and before you are ready to treat me the way I need.
That last question about manifestation was weirdly edited and abruptly ended. Teal was at odds with you on this, and forgiveness/healing - it would have been great to see both these discussion points and how you settled on your differences more fully explored and dived into. LOVED it though - thankyou for your amazing work .
I loved watching this interview, because I took your life coaching certification, Ajit, and your approach to not look into the past is the one thing that I have disagreed with the most.
Everything is and no matter what you try and force yourself to believe mentally the reality still stands! Totally get forgiveness, and quotes!!! If you never enter into the break down of muscle you will never get stronger, same thing works with emotions, physical healing and spirituality.
Teal is always on point. Futility is exactly my problem right now and I’ve found myself overeating because I don’t know what direction to go to in life because it all feels pointless. I’ve gained weight recently and it’s so frustrating
Maybe for both. We can love both without diminishing the other. This is really rude and hurts other ppl feelings and its not true. Mindvalley is great!

I wish there had been half as many questions to allow time to go deeper and unpack these things in more depth. The interviewer seemed hurried or impatient
it is of not physical attraction. it is of attraction of the mind. this is why I have wirtten these comment. many have told me there is someone. there never has been. you have exactly concluded the same things I have exactly concluded and your position/posture i.e. body language expresses fire in logical understanding.

Although I disagree about social media, I have found a spiritual reason for it nowadays even though I've been rejecting FB, IG etc for years...like since 2015. There is a deeper meaning beyond.
Great interview, thanks! I feel so many times, she says words that I have been thinking! For example, I was working on forgiving my father and coming out of 2 years not talking to him.... then one day I realized, there is nothing to forgive! and in that moment I really dismissed the notion of 'forgiveness' b/c unconditional love/awareness doesn't do/need forgiveness.

Great interview, even if it could have been fantastic if developed in some points. As always, Teal was authentic, spontaneous and generous with her insights and wisdom. I feel that people who are not familiar with her teachings might find this short interview a bit confusing or hard to grasp but if you type on the search box of her youtube channel a keyword or topic you are interested in, for sure you will find at least one video on that topic :)
someone made a dreamcatcher with text woven into it: 'Healing is not lineair' it was something small that could be easily overlooked but the realisation is big.
Speaking on (first couple of minutes) everything that we do is in turn for our self happiness. I find one major flaw. Only with our autonomy can our choices be aimed at our own pleasure. As soon as we are restricted, mandated, forced or coerced into doing something then it's no longer our freewill, hence the self joy and pleasure is not there. Example: During the Plandemic I wore a face-diaper in public in order to by my groceries, go out with a friend, and to even have certain jobs. I did not for a single moment want to abide, did not see any logic or satisfaction from it, but society/government/states REQUIRED it. So, if it's forced on you, the "we do it for a selfish pleasure" is thrown entirely out! Only in Autonomy do our actions stem from what makes us truly happy.
Some people stay stuck in their protectors never mind how much trust you inspire in them and how vulnerable you are with them. They will always perceive you as a threat and devalue you and your efforts until they discard you. Kindness becomes manipulation and love vulnerability and honesty becomes “un-manly behavior” and asking for reciprocity becomes clinging and dependency…. So on and so forth. How to deal with that? What if you’re someone who has a kind of personality disorder? Making them feel that they can trust you will always have drawbacks… they want that in you and they reject it and devalue it at the same time

^^This. Life gets better when you open the boxes and you just want to keep becoming better and better, not the opposite like he said
@@helenswale2053😁😁❤️
aggrrreeeeeee
Beautifully put
Its doable.
So glad you enjoyed this conversation. Thanks for sharing 💜
So glad you had Teal on and exposed your audience to her perspectives - she’s fantastic

Never seen that kind of fish before
@@vikopresto1749 then pay closer attention
There is a difference between selfish and self interest-one is healthy and benefits people and the other doesnot
Excellent conversation. I had so many thoughts about what was said. Hope and hopelessness, self-worth, forgiveness, healing, and more. Thanks.
I honestly get so mad when mind valley pops up on my ads as they are tremendously intrusive! So glad she did this interview…
Can't believe you are bri ging Teal Swan!
Sooooo excited listen to this
Hope you enjoy this one 💜 Thanks for sharing!
People want the answer but they don't want to accept the answer. Teal, you are tremendously helpful
lol exactly. At 45:30 he got so hurt that she didn’t agree with his point of view & was able to fully justify what she was expressing to him.

Fantastic interview Teal is so intelligent, witty & authentic she blows my mind!
You have no idea who she really is though.
She brings tears to my eyes.... wonderful person, beautiful lady.

I love Teal she keeps it so real

This is frightening to me. I love Teal and how she keeps it all real. And the fact that it's real is frightening to me. Because it means that I cannot heal until I find someone who is protective of me. I've never had such person who is on my side. Even the people who claim to love me don't side with me. I need an advocate for me. I'm afraid I'll never get any.
Of course you can heal without that.
I LOVE TEAL ❤ never stop talking

Preach it sister🙏. Finally I hear a reflection of what I know to be a fundamental truth for me. What an amazing, intriguing Woman Teal is.
We're glad you resonated with this! Thanks for sharing 💜
Teal is so needed in this world right now
Forgiveness is being able to in one's own heart, wish someone who has hurt them well in spite of what they have done or not done.
Teal you changed so much ❤I love this feminine energy you are putting out 🌹
You are so amazing human being and best of best life teachers
Thank you for your kind words, we're happy you enjoyed this conversation 💜
OMG. I love what she says about "selfishness"! I've been saying it for 10+ years but noone seemed to like it. 😅
That last question about manifestation was weirdly edited and abruptly ended. Teal was at odds with you on this, and forgiveness/healing - it would have been great to see both these discussion points and how you settled on your differences more fully explored and dived into. LOVED it though - thankyou for your amazing work
.
Thank you for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed this conversation 💜

"It starts to become the one-two step" me thinking of Ciara at the same time. Teal said this talking about not dropping the trauma box. LOVE HER!
People are not here because of Mindvalley crap, but they are here for Teal❤
I'm curious, why do think Mindvalley is crap?
Because she’s full of it!!!
Actually, I love Mindvalley. I am not particularly a fan of this annoying woman, lol!
Maybe for both. We can love both without diminishing the other. This is really rude and hurts other ppl feelings and its not true. Mindvalley is great!
@@sanaabdallah9136if you watch more of her videos, a lot of what she teaches is not woo woo but real deep work and reaches the core of things, some concepts can be difficult to grasp. I watch a lot of self development coaches and she is in a category of her own who deserves way more recognition.
I love this woman haha!! Glad to see her here.

this is trippy. she did an interview recently with Neeta Bushan, wearing the same outfit, sitting in a similar chair, in the same manner and orientation. so I thought it was videoshopped at first!
Since Neeta and Ajit are married, they probably used the same set and maybe taped the interviews on the same day.
@@UnstoppableVi Well, that makes a whole lot of sense now haha thank you for the clarification!
A lot of work for Teal to do so many interviews.
Although I disagree about social media, I have found a spiritual reason for it nowadays even though I've been rejecting FB, IG etc for years...like since 2015. There is a deeper meaning beyond.
Teal is saving lives Amen 🙏🏼💃🏻😮💨💫🦋

You are an alchemist indeed.❤

Some people stay stuck in their protectors never mind how much trust you inspire in them and how vulnerable you are with them. They will always perceive you as a threat and devalue you and your efforts until they discard you. Kindness becomes manipulation and love vulnerability and honesty becomes “un-manly behavior” and asking for reciprocity becomes clinging and dependency…. So on and so forth. How to deal with that? What if you’re someone who has a kind of personality disorder? Making them feel that they can trust you will always have drawbacks… they want that in you and they reject it and devalue it at the same time
