- Getting back to the gun range and shooting drills with my railed government-profile 1911 pistol, the Tisas B45R Duty. This full sized pistol can be used for open carry or concealed carry, but practicing shooting fundamentals is key to becoming a better shooter - which is what I'm trying to do.
Love the look & feel of the 1911 and its good to see it action. Another great video, thanks!
Thank you!!
As always, great footage 🙏 Great job!
Love the content brother. 45 is one hell of a round. 9mm is of course comfortable for those who bought their first pistol with that caliber. put more time in on that 45 ACP and it will smooth itself out.
Thanks so much! Yeah loving the 45 ACP regardless. The fact that I just have to keep shooting is more than enough to make me happy
Good video. Consider a good DA/SA that has a long heavy double-action pull. That's helped my anticipation and trigger control problems. If you can master a 10-12 lb pull, you're good to go.
Liked and subscribed 🎉 can you talk about light fitments on this weapon. Ive heard the x300 needs modification and the tlr1 straight up wont fit. 😢
Thanks man! Yeah sure can, I can make a Short. But in the meantime, I can get the Surefire X300U-A on the 1913 rail (with the correct Picatinny mounting plate) but it was pretty difficult to just slide the light on. Instead I had to unscrew the two rail pieces, place the light on, and re-fasten all six screws. It’s very solid now but not an ideal way to do it. Will have to see with my TLR-1 HL but Reddit has a picture of some dude who got that light to fit on his B9R Carry
Look into getting shieled thumb safeties if your thumb is getting ripped open.
Next range day Focus on being more comfortable and having fun, it will be a better shooting experience ❤ the speed and drills will come later dont push it to where you are that uncomfortable. Thats not fun.
Just hold the grip tight and treat recoil as it doesn't exist. It's going to happen anyway so don't worry about it.
1:43 I encourage you to research Ben Stoeger Matt Pranka and Hwansik Kim for performance shooting.A lot of their Contant is out for free with no gimmicks attached. studying what teach will fill you in on performance shooting real quick you just gotta put in the work.
Thank you! Yeah I'll definitely check them out. Gotta learn what I can and then apply it when I'm at the range
What is the model number for that safariland holster, that accommodates this pistol your running?
It's the Safariland 6285 - SLS Low-Ride, Level II Retention Duty Holster! SKU: 1189316, Part: 6285-530-761.
Ft. Worth here. Feels good today doesn't it.
SO. MUCH. BETTER!@@christurner8255
I shoot my tisas b45 a lot better since a trigger job.
A flash light on the gun looks very sexy. It also violates Rule #2 "do not point a gun at anything you are willing to destroy". I thoroughly disapprove of lights on a gun. It is simply dangerous. However very nice shooting. thanks . A Tisas is a bargain priced high quality firearm..
#1 Be sure of your target. Light assists with that. Keep your finger off of the boom switch and all will be fine. Plus you can point muzzle at ground or ceiling to splash the light and comply with #1.
You clearly have never used a light in service to anything. Identifying what you’re shooting at is as important.
