I would go so far as to suggest that the meaning crisis, cliche though it might be, is much more imortant than whichever of the current political fevers any particular person has caught. Without a centered and coherent consciousness, we are easy prey for the strongest force we encounter, be it political, philisophical or otherwise. The general unmooring of our collective conscious, due to the internet and a system compromised or even fully captured by devious interests, has left us vulnerable in a way no previous generations have had to overcome. It feels foolish to say so, as it is usually wise to reflect upon the gains we have made and the much harder lives of previous generations, but they did not have to face such an unknowable, unnamable enemy in such a weakened state. I wish I had the intellectual capacity to explain to others the benefits of merely seeking meaning and value beyond politics and culture. As someone who gave nihilsm a bad name, I can assure any sceptics reading this that it is an experiment worth trying.
"Mind control" has already been happening for a long time by the manipulation of attention. I imagine that an Orthodox Christian would have no problem appreciating that given the fact that so much of the tradition is hinged on the direction of attention.
Why is it always an issue no matter the context to question the use of technology? Almost like some people take it as God of some sort, huh..? Maybe putting it before the actual God of all creation is a problem?
Why not use AI language models to help humans with communication. AI language models don't have subjective experience and can be used with the laws of nature and humans values to eliminate both subjective experience and thought and communication getting tangled within our self identity. AI language models could help humans communicate truth rather then our knowledge based off our own assumptions.

Philip K. Dick Minority Report. This is the possible of AI in social control.
The glasses seem quite big, or it's some kind of optical illusion?
