glad to see you show a perspective from a real world scenario. bravo for not editing out that some of us have families and commitments and need to make it work, and still can while taking our children out into nature and showing them a beautiful world we live in.
This one brings me back in time to when I was hiking around with my first daughter at 10 months here in New Hampshire. I didn't try to get serious photography though! Now, 13 years and 2 more daughters later, I wish I could go back in time. The days were long but the years were short. Getting a spotted sandpiper is a nice find and cool slow motion opportunities with the water breaking over the rocks.
Thanks for watching! You couldn't be more right that the years are short, she already turned 1 which I'm not sure how that's possible. I was happy to find anything while I was out so was really happy with the sandpiper! Thanks as always
Loving this video! So inspiring as I’m in a similar boat as you, this is my usual go-to spot and I have 2 little ones so getting out there is tough but sometimes you just gotta bring them with you! Thanks for sharing
Super cool! I was at that exact same spot (with the rock circles) 2 weeks ago photographing Egrets while visiting family. I live in Pittsburgh but grew up in Guilford, so it was nice to get out on the shoreline and photograph some new birds. I actually didn't get in to bird photography until I moved away from home so it was awesome seeing so many Osprey, Egrets, shorebirds, etc. You should try the East River boat launch off Neck Rd. I got many close looks at Osprey in flight, plus Saltmarsh Sparrows and Clapper Rails. Anyway, congrats on your daughter! Hopefully she'll continue to keep you company on future bird photography trips!
I do use a few different straps sometimes. I have the cotton carrier as well as black rapid straps that I use, but haven't used them as much since I need to use the tripod so much for video work. The attachment points for the straps often interfere with the plate to mount on the tripod. If I am just going out walking around with my camera I use them. Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching! That sounds like a great spot. I don’t get down to the coast too often but when I do next time I’ll check it out!
@@ToddDeWaldPhotography You're welcome! Happy shooting!
Great to go out and share these moments, hopefully she'll share your enthusiasm in years to come. Have you ditched the 600 for the 400 2.8 TC?
Thanks for watching I really appreciate it! Yes I have. Planning on making a video on why I switched in the near future!
@@ToddDeWaldPhotography Well, you're in the dark woodlands a lot so I guess that will be influential :)
Do you have a clip on your strap so you can clip your lens to it to free up your hands?
