The binoculars and bubbles. Class. Made us well chuckle. Was like a scene of them corny comedy shows like the carry on movies ha. Thanks for the laugh 👍
Nice to see you trying your hand at laying the blackthorne hedge. I have been learning and practicing at my local wildlife reserve. It’s amazing how brutal you can be in cutting back and laying and the hedge thickens up and provides a much better nesting habitat. I’ve really enjoyed your channel over the last two years, very informative.
Kudos to Dawn for getting so many images sharp and in focus especially as it was her first attempt. I thought you would have let her use your old D500 to give her a chance but she did great with a an old camera not really designed for wildlife photography. Well done Dawn and let's hope you try it again.
@ I will make the switch to the Z9 eventually, probably when they announce the Z9ii and before Panomoz runs out of Z9s. I think the D500 was ahead of its time when it was released which is why it’s still a good tool for many wildlife photographers.
Another great video. Bullfinches are stunning. Based on your info, I just got the Freewell card reader. It looks like a great piece of kit. Very well made. 🙂👍🏻
Brilliant, cracking footage and stills from you both. Bullfinches don’t feed from my feeders either. Card reader looks great. Just ordered a calendar. Cheers. All the best. 👍📷😎
I always learn something from Simons vids. Doc seeds for Bullfinches, didn’t know that. When you get your own 600 (you will its just a question of time) your excuse will be because Dawn uses my 500 all the time.
Thanks for another great video Simon. Haven't seen bullfinches here for years although they should be around. Dawn got some cracking images too so maybe Santa will bring her a Z9? Look forward to the next film.
Hi Simon. Great vid once again. You and your camerawoman seem to have a great relationship by the quiet banter you’ve got going on 👍. I can see why Dawn didn’t want your hide mind! I remember you using that hide when filming Roe deer along the side of that hedge (that was some time ago!). The girl deserves a Z9 and that 600mm of her own after you’ve dragged her out into the wilds!😂. Great filming btw and fab photos from both of you. Keep them coming, you’re doing great work keeping us all interested and sharing your skills with us, really appreciate it Simon (and Dawn).
Another great video Simon. Sadly here in Kent Bullfinches a rare sight. I think you’ll love the 180-600 as a walk around. Love mine as a pairing with the 800mm though there’s pros and cons for all of them of course
Love watching Bullfinches in my garden and on the feeders but I didn't know about docs, great tip. I do sports photography but you've got me thinking. Great channel. ❤
Another great vlog Simon! love the way you set everything up with nothing to chance, Bullfinches are one of our most beautiful birds and one that the majority of people never see so you’ve created a public service! I’ve given you a follow on IG tonight, I suffer from chronic anxiety and not able to get out anymore so take aviation and wildlife shots from my bedroom window so I hope you might take a look at photographs I manage o get 👍📷🦅
Brilliant and fantastic video, Big thanks to the pair of you for the time and effort put in. Simon , it could get costly if Dawn is hit by the bug and will you be taking over the role of videographer for her. Hope you stay safe with the impending storm Darragh.
Brilliant video Simon, beautiful Bullfinches, my favourite garden bird often see them in my garden in Whitby. Made me very happy. Hope the impending storm doesn’t blow them away!
Brilliant video Simon, what a wonderful looking garden bird and well done Dawn. Pleasureable experience watching you in the Homestead and creating a great place to visit. Thank you Simon
Stunning video Simon I especially liked the setting up of the hides etc. Those bullfinches are beautiful birds. Hope Dawn has got the bug. Your videos are right at the top of the tree here’s to the next one. Stay safe. B. K.
I can't believe seeing you and your better half taking pic of bullfinch as that's my next target. I will gather some doc to hopefully give me a better chance. Great info. I have my calendar it's super.
Simon, I have recently found your channel, just love it…. I’ve watched a bunch of your films on here, wonderful…. Today’s film was fun too, getting Dawn on watch with the camera…wow. She gets double pay now you know! Great bird those Bullfinches. Cheers…. PS you’ve done wonders with the property as well 👍
That's the way to comment on a product that your happy with Simon, tell your audience about it then get bedded down in a hide and get some footage / stills taken to show us just how good it is ! Feel a bit disappointed these days that some brilliant wildlife photographers ( viewing from there other social media platforms and earlier u-tube work) have taken the option to go down the" total review road". Know it takes a lot of time and effort to produce your style of video but speaking as a viewer it really grabs your attention and interest. - Very much a subscription worthy u-tube producer. As a footnote just wished my wife had the patience to sit in a hide for a couple of hours ! 👍
Cheers Glenn, I always think its better to do reviews this way. Sometimes the product supplier want reviews done a certain way. They call the shots!! Thanks for watching 😃
Great video as usual and love the Bullfinches haven't seen any on my patch also usually this time of year i watch the Geese over Wigtown Bay every morning and late afternoon hundreds of the but i haven't seen a single one over my home, at moment getting battered with the gales so no Owl spotting tonight but Badger's should be out and about.
Another great video Simon, I get Bullfinches regularly on the garden feeders but need to get my images quickly, before the sunflower hearts get their beaks too messy 😂
I'm going to have 5 acres to set up things like this soon. Retiring early and hope to be able to make more videos even if it will only be my grandchildren that watches them.
Great vid Simon and well done Dawn. I have never got a shot of a bullfinch without a twig in the way. I wonder why they didn't go on the ones you planted?
Thanks Stevie, I was mistaken. I thought they hadn't but the clip where it was feeding on the nettle was off one of the stems that i transplanted!!👍🏼📷 Result😃
Washing up🤣🤣 .... the entertainment is endless on this channel 🙂 What ever next? A video demonstrating Eardley’s domestic chore tips? A Tragopan branded vacuum cleaner on sale? Bullfinch …. What a stunning bird but sadly becoming rarer and rare in my part of the world (Essex). Excellent video and photos, especially in the snow 🙂 Well done to Dawn on her first images as a beginner 🙂and especially having to put up with a certain "trainer" 🤣 Keep it coming Simon!
Super as ever. I’ve often found with Bullfinch that, especially when they are paired up, one will feed while the other watches out.
The binoculars and bubbles. Class. Made us well chuckle. Was like a scene of them corny comedy shows like the carry on movies ha. Thanks for the laugh 👍
I try not to take this job too serious Elt, terrible acting !!🤣🤣 ATB, Si 👊🏼
@simoneardley the terrible acting makes it better 😂

they love scots thistle as well.

Cheers Gazza, I traded the D500 in when I bought the Z9. Wish I still had it!!🙄
@ I will make the switch to the Z9 eventually, probably when they announce the Z9ii and before Panomoz runs out of Z9s. I think the D500 was ahead of its time when it was released which is why it’s still a good tool for many wildlife photographers.

Nice one Chris, you wont be disappointed. Theres lots of gadgets out there but this is certainly one of the better ones.

Nice one, thanks for the support Rob 👍
I always learn something from Simons vids. Doc seeds for Bullfinches, didn’t know that. When you get your own 600 (you will its just a question of time) your excuse will be because Dawn uses my 500 all the time.
Thats the plan Nigel!!🤣🤣
