Great set of videos. Adding deadening is one thing I am considering for my Bronco (when I get it) and it'll be a daily driver. I've heard that Dynamat is good stuff and as little as 50% coverage is enough to make a difference in sound quality. I do wonder about the subwoofer, though, as behind speakers is usually the first place people add deadening- woofers can shake light metal sheets pretty good. Jill mentioned doing some "before" sound level testing and I would love to see the difference when you get it all done!
Like I said in the video, Dynamat is my go to sound deadening for automotive applications. With multiple types of for almost any type of application I was impressed that they have the precut panels for the Bronco so fast. the whole vehicle will be done with the panels.
Excellent idea! Especially for the soft top Broncos, that are notoriously louder inside (it's been said). Nice work. One more item for my to-do list. ;)
I guess I am lucky, My Bronco Soft top is not loud at all! Maybe because I am comparing it to my JKU. Maybe it is a good thing going from ultra loud it just a little loud!
Off topic but I wanted to pass along the info ASAP. In my subscriptions a co. popped up on a co. doing a rim install video for a 4Runner. Well as it turns out BLACK RHINO MAKES RIMS FOR LOTS OF MAKES & MODELS OF 4X4 VEHICLES. THEY MAKE AT LEAST 36 DESIGNS/MODELS. AND SEVERAL ARE ( TA -DA ) BLACK RIMS WITH BLACK BEADLOCK RINGS. EXACTLY LIKE I PICTURED ON & ( HIGHLY ) SUGGESTED FOR THE BLACK DIAMOND ( FOR THE VADER LOOK. )
@@1Five1Garage Good to know. We got a soft top to ensure a faster delivery, but will likely upgrade to the MIC at some point. Curious to see how well you both think the Dynomat works after the install.
Went back and checked after watching your video about upgrading the base stereo system with sound deadening and couldn’t find the video comparing the base system differences to the B&O system which you said was in the works. Is it still in the works or did I miss it? Greats videos keep it up. Really would like to know if the speaker enclosures (or lack there of) are the same across both. I’d laugh if the bottomless hole for the dash speakers existed in the B&O system.
After a road trip this weekend from MN to Co in my 2 door hard top not sure reducing road noise will impact ride much. Going across Neb with a stiff cross wind from passenger side at highway speed about 70mph the driver side window was literally rattling back and forth. Most of the time with an open air gape between glass and seal. the wind noise was horrific if i would have duct tape i would have tape the bastard and just crawled in from passenger side
We drove ours for a 1k drive and was doing 70+mph hadn't had any issues with that. The soft top on the other hand, the noise from the top is louder for sure.
On certain songs do you guys get the sun vibration that sounds like there’s a nut or piece of plastic stuck vibrating? I’m hoping I can figure it out soon any help would be appreciated
lol autocorrect is awesome isn't it! I have not noticed anything like that in the badlands. You can always check if there is connections loose, screws loose, etc. Shawn used to do competition stereo and he would meticulously go through each and every inch of the vehicle to see where a sound was coming from and fix it. If it drives you that crazy, that is the best best. Just be careful taking panels out. Keep watching for we have 4 more videos (2 panels/interior removals & 2 dynamat installs) that we are filming this weekend.

Where's the video that shows removing the rear panels? I'm about to replace the sub and amp. I'm scared to death!
It’s all good still waiting on one bronco
I will be doing this to mine if I ever get it
Nice job, I had already planned to do mine when I get it!!
We will be adding these to the black Diamond later for sure.
Good gracious there you go again
That good or bad? Lol

We are looking at the black rhino wheels.
@@1Five1Garage THEY WERE AT SEMA IN 2016. AT LEAST 1 VIDEO OF A L.T. REVIEW.
@@1Five1Garage METHOD AND ICON MAKE ALL BLACK RIMS TOO. RTR ?
Great video! Curious if anyone thinks it would be beneficial to put dynomat in the MIC top to provide additional sound deadening?
Ours has the OEM sound deadening on it currently. Not sure if is easily removable.

We are in the process of removing the interior at the moment. We will pop out the speak grills and see.

So has it really lowered the noise level and does it really sound quieter inside the cabin ?
we have two more sections to install. once they are done, we will let you know. stay tuned to find out! :)

Sub not sun 🤦♂️ LUX package with the B&O

Does this ruin the ability to wash out the floors with a hose?
No because the rubberized floor seals around the hole.
It only takes small peaces to do the same thing i use it on all my cars.
I usually would as well but having the precut panels are perfect.
That looks like a lot of work lol
This is the easiest of the three installs

I need to get more motivated. Between the bronco and classic mini cooper I have a few things to install.
SOUND SKINS CAME OUT WITH A HERE'S HOW YOU SOUND DEADEN YOUR BRONCO VIDEO SATURDAY.
Would the sound deadening help with subwoofers ? How does Diesel feel about subWOOFers ? LOL
I don’t think it would hurt it. Lol we have not gotten subwoofers yet 😉 I’m sure he’d love it tho.
