Great song to react too. Elvis was all over this one. The best version he did was the Madison Square Garden version. You should do a fitness video by the way!
That song is from a Broadway musical called “man of La Mancha” Elvis is just covering the song. But you’re absolutely right his voice had such resonance and balance and soul.
I actually heard that story that Susan said below didn't know one way or the other I don't think Elvis could have sang it bad song background singers second-to-none there was no better to this day put them up against anybody great reaction by the way and also this song Jim Nabors sings it fn awesome keep smiling🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐾🐾
Let me tell you a story about this song that Elvis sang. I was friends with Charlie Hodge his confidant and best friend for 8years after Elvis died n he told me this. Before one of Elvis concerts his bodyguard Jerry saw a little boy in a wheelchair holding up a sign that said " to reach the unreasonable star" So knowing Elvis loved children he rolled the boy back to E dressing room n Jerry said " Elvis i have someone i think you would like to meet" Elvis said" Im getting ready to go on stage" Jerry said " I really think you need to meet him" Elvis said ok but this better be good " The door opened n Elvis saw the boy holding the sign n ran up to him n fell to his knees n hugged him n whispered something to him. Then said " I will sing you a special song at the end of the show" n of course he sang this song to him. He was not planning to end this concert with this song but he was happy to do anything for this boy. Charlie told me this story so I m sure it is true
There are a lot of songs that Elvis did from his movies but not this one. A few songs you would like if you like gospel type songs is (HOW GREAT THOU ART 1972 LIVE) he did that in the middle of a concert, also (YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE) this one is not a video but a great song. Also (AMERICAN TRILOGY 1973 LIVE FROM ALOHA FROM HAWAII CONCERT) POWERFUL SONG. hope you enjoy if you get a chance to react to them. there are others i will recommend in your next reaction have a great day you did a great job
Ye but considering you literally have no idea half of what goes into the process of these videos going up.I know how a mistake like this could have been made and really it's now corrected and that's all that matters
@@jassydoll You have no idea what I know. I have a separate channel of videos I do. And if writing a title is a challenge for you. Weak weak weak. You can have the last word. I’m so glad I listened in school and learned to spell.
that s true for sure, i see more reaction to this version instead of the much better madison square garden version, also with much better sound quality
You should see him sing this live in 1972 it is my all time favorite song it just makes you feel so good
Beautiful Elvis sings it with so much emotion in his voice

Are you speaking of Jerry Schilling as one of his security detail? "To reach the unreasonable star" is pretty funny.

That would be “The Impossible Dream”. Imposdible??????? Geez
I would say thank you but since you have a tone about it
@@jassydoll no thanks required. Just how hard is it to spell. Even spell check would have corrected it. Typical for today.

This was good. But his 1972 MSG version is much better.
