They thought that he was called king because he a good enough singer,but it's mainly due to his beauty
Amazingly sexy man and his fans were prodominantly females,
But when they listen to the man they are just amzed

This is why I will defend Elvis till my death. Itirks me when folks call him fat or lazy. He was neither! He was ill. Glaucoma in his eyes, a twisted colon, the stress of putting on a perfect show. I don't know anybody who gave as much as him. Financially, emotionally, spiritually. He was Heaven Sent

This concert took place about 6 weeks before Elvis died... Even in bad health and while tired and not feeling well, Elvis' voice never failed him... His voice was truly a gift from God.
Some people can't appreciate this because it's not from his early 60s. Actually 1 that I can think of. Us true Elvis fans love love love this version because its Elvis and less than 2 months till his passing
Yeah Sean cant appreciate anything after the early 60s. And he says the same thing over and over like a robot.
I think the state he was in gave it all the more power and strength.

There are NO WORDS to ever describe Elvis' talent. Don't even try. Love the way you two were so surprised at his passionate rendition of this song..I've loved to share Elvis with everyone since I was 13 years old back in 1956.....never get tired of sharing him so that I can see reactions like yours, and knowing that NOW someone else sees this great unequaled talent that was Elvis.
Six weeks prior to his death, his body run down but his voice was still on top and never failed.
You guys are the absolute best on UA-cam. I love Elvis. Always have. You guys are keeping his memory alive. I enjoy how you guys appreciate Elvis and his gifts. He truly had an incredible voice and ability to entertain us. Keep doing what you are doing guys!!!!

the roof off. Never a voice with so many different tones,elements,
and range through the years. Different in the 50's, 60's and 70's but equally good.

This was Elvis’ last live performance! Rip to one of the greatest
This footage is actually of his last performance before he died. I believe he died of a broke heart, since everyone at this time in his life had left him. Those he thought were his true friends (Sonny and Red, Pricilla taking Lisa away,) He was never right again after his mother died while he was in the army. She grieved about him being drafted. She got heavy and swollen before she died. I believe it was the same thing. He was someone who absolutely LOVED with all his heart. WHen those that left him did so, He was left with the tiring life he had. His singing was all that he got happiness from. The back up singers said he would have them all go to his hotel after the shows to sing Gospel songs all night long (his absolute fav music since he was a lil child). He had written down in a note how he was tired. I think GOd took him home because so many fed off of him. He was so generous he had his personal jeweler travel with him so he could have him open up his briefcase and give someone in the crowd a gift of real jewelry. He would gift dozens + cadillacs to people every day. A man making millions per night of performance died with about $500k in the bank. He had spent most all of it giving it to others. He NEVER EVER got over how poor he was as a child. He kept the picture of he and his parents during those poorest of times at the foot of his bed till he died. At one time they were poorer than the poorest black person in Tupelo Mississippi. THey would send food down to them so they would not starve. Elvis was one dear pure heart that loved and admitted he was NOT the KING, he said there is only one king and that is JESUS!
This is not video of his very last performance. His last performance was in June of 77 in Indiana, however it is the last special Elvis did before his death.
His Love, his darlin', was Creator God. I feel this was his goodbye earth song, take me home God, song. You are correct, last live concert. This album was released, 3 weeks before he left us, I think.
I love watching your reactions to Elvis. My parents are in his age bracket and you could never find a bigger fan than my dad. I put a VCR tape of Blue Hawaii in his coffin with him. They raised us with him so we all love him and we raised our kids with him. No matter the generation people love him

Beautiful the way Elvis did this still since of humor to the end. Around 6 weeks before death. They asked him if he would like to cut the concert short n he said, the show must go on For My Fans.He died with so many health issues glaucoma which is very painful, hypertension, chronic low back pain, a MEGA COLON that has twisted several times n puts strain on his already weak heart. His heart was enlarged n clogged arteries. RIP my friend n now singing to God n all the Angels without pain n loneliness that he had at the end

I'm an obsessive elvis fan.. Was getting bored of watching elvis reactions... But you two are great. Very genuine. I'm 59...fan since the mid 70s... Believe me it wasn't cool to be an Elvis fan then and not much has changed.. His legacy got lost in the stories of drugs and obesity.. The fans love the music, the moves, the singing.. and the personality glues it all together..... When you "get" the whole package... You're an Elvis fan for life.. Otherwise you're missing out!

His voice flowed through my home every single day when i was a kid. I was seven years old when he died and it was the biggest tragedy since the Pres. Kennedy/ MLK King deaths. As worldwide and huge as Princess Diana's death. The world was blessed with his voice. My heart breaks even now.
His beautiful singing voice never let him down.
He brings me to tears with his singing, that's why he's called the King. This was his last professionally filmed concert, but he did several shows after this, his last one being a week after this. He had taken a reaction to meds he was given, that's why his breathing was affected, but in subsequent shows he was fine.
Elvis was ill but he never wanted to let his fans down. He was simply a power house.

That magnificent voice - even though he was in bad health and couldnt remember some lyrics, that voice he was blessed with never failed him, and even in this state he gave it his all. So damn sad as another comment mentioned Elvis passed two weeks after this performance. I so hate it that legends like this so often become victims of their own fame and we lose them way too soon. Im a 60 year old straight guy and I still love to watch Elvis, I grew up seeing him on TV etc. and so glad I was part of the era he lived in. RIP Elvis.

I am 66 and i have always loved Elvis it broke my heart to see him decline . His twin brother died at birth and he and his mom never got over it, he had a lot of demons in his life. He was the most genuine caring person and so generous he gave cars and he had his own jeweler so he would always be able to give some thing he ever gave a houe to someone. His father would get upset because they would get low on money and Elvis told him it didn't matter when he was giving that was when he was truly happy .
Elvis sings with his heart on his sleeve...haunting, beautiful, sad, powerful, amazing performance. Look at him look at his fans with his smile..he wanted to please his fans! Look at him look at Charlie the one who is holding the mike ...he smiles at him.....so much love, LOVE He hits you hard. He sings and you feel all those emotions in one performance. How can anyone do this...so SO amazing! This is Elvis as a human showing his love, hurt, every emotion you can think of in one performance. It makes me cry and smile at the same time. Wow ELVIS THANK YOU.
As every Elvis' music lover knows, this was his last concert. And he gave us everything he got with this song. Goosebumps. Sheer goosebumps.
It actually was not his last concert. It was his last RECORDED concert. Still horribly sad but I'm so glad we have this memory to look back on
He was dying, and he did a few weeks later, he sings how great thou art in this concert and you knew he knew he was going to die. Miss him.

he was found to have had an enlarged heart! How ironic , his very heart, in his life, was bigger than all outdoors because he always gave of himself from that heart ! His generosity was well known! He did this performance
