JD and Gordon Stoker said Elvis was fearless with his voice. He’d try things just BELIEVING they work and his voice wouldn’t fail him. I always loved that about him.
Definitely one of the good ones! Total BANGER BANGER BANGER ALL DAY LONG!There's another version he sang with a more powerful ending. Lol He never sang a song the same. Hes fantastic!
He loved inspirational music especially in the later years. He really wanted a message as he said in an interview one time. He said he recorded "In the Ghetto". he loved the message, "Walk a Mile in my Shoes" also. He also said after he sang, "If I Can Dream" for MLK, he would do no more music he didn't really believe in. He was quite a fellow, and a really good man. He never forgot his roots. Thanks, Seph.
Wow... Elvis excels here. I've heard several singers perform this song, however, E's passion, the power of his voice and total execution is amazing. The crescendo towards that last note, stunning. Just so beautiful. Very nice reaction Seph. A Rank! It's a volcano! 🌋🥇
Impossibly sublime. I think it totally resonated with Elvis, especially in the early years and getting through the movie years and persisting when he was so ill.❤❤❤
When you get the goosebumps, I get tears welling up. Then thy fall, unless it’s a happy song. The passion on every song is just so unique. Every word has an inflection May he RIP. We miss you Elvis. Since the day,I heard at work you were gone, I’ve always wondered what you would have done if you’d have lived longer. Only God knows. Thanks so much Seph. 😢😊❤❤❤
I imagine Elvis, if he were to be back again, performing in the major theatres of London's West End and New York's Broadway. And this composition, and a few other numbers (eg "It's Easy For You", which you will hear later) would have been ideal for him if he trod the boards.
I love Elvis' version, of course... it's Elvis! Having said that, one of the most beautiful versions of this song I've ever heard was done by Jim Nabors. I've never seen anyone react to his music, which is a shame. His voice is incredible. Might I suggest you react to Jim's version of this song? I don't know if he ever did it live but I loved the album version when I was a child. Of course no one compares to Elvis.

Good as this version is Seph, he does one officially released from his concert in Madison Square Garden New York in June 1972 which is IMHO overall far superior to this one.
Agreed the madison Square Gds version is the totally best version . The intensity of it is amazing . I think it's because on tour he had the full orchestra as this great version is from Vegas
I reacted to the original Elvis version a year or so back? Im not sure if its still on the channel though, might have been hit for copyright infringement 😭😭😭
I have always liked his version better than Robert Goulet's. But Elvis was straining; especially 1:14 to 1:25. The very best version of the song that I have heard is by Jim Nabors
Theatrical? OK, I kind of get that, but somehow theatrical is a word I associate with any Elvis performance. I guess there are different takes on the word.😁❤️❤️❤️

He does this at Madison Square Garden 72, super version❤
Agreed, I wasn’t big on this song in the past but I like
It now Weird …
You can tell it's from a musical LoL. Elvis loved high drama in his songs, especially in the 70s.

ELVIS voice gorgeous! His vocals amazing!❤ ELVIS is always number one! ❤
One of my all time favorite songs ,you can see him sing this live in 72
It’s from the musical Man Of La Mancha. One of my favorites!

Elvis immaculate as ever ,but I think Andy Williams original just shades it.

ELVIS LIVED THIS - THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM FROM 1950'S TO 70'S = HE WOULD ASK HIS GUYS "WHY ME" WHY WAS I CHOSEN
There's live video of this available seth
Hi Seph. Elvis sings with passion, doesn't he? There are other songs I like better, but this is near the top regardless.
Ohh he most certainly does 😍
Ohh but what about the Elvis List??? lol
It's at the end of the video right?
@@SephPlays How did I miss that?? lol

Also agree. In fact when the song ended you can hear Charlie Hodge compliment Elvis saying “nice job”.
Would you please react to " Danny Boy"...another very powerful song too..I always have to keep kleenex close by when I hear it.

I loved Jim Nabors' portrayal of Gomer Pyle. Then I heard him sing. OMG....what a voice!!!
@@kathifielder1110 Jim's version of The Impossible Dream has 9.7 million views.
Your A rank needs some serious work. Still enjoy your videos.
I should love it but I don't, too theatrical for my taste.

@@jennyjorgensen9935 Hard to explain, but it doesn't feel like an Elvis song to me.
@robbansa this was in Vegas the 72 madision gds version in so much better with the full orchestra
@@grahammalcolm7130 I just don't like this song, I've heard every version.
