The most professional thing I think I've ever seen in your videos is you talking about Uktabi Orangutan without mentioning the monkeys in the background.
I love these Top 10 cards from old school editions! It is good to see cards I used to play in standard back then still being relevant on other formats.
So many great cards and beautiful packs to be opened over the years. But, the best pull from a pack I'll ever have was a vampiric tutor in April of 1997. Visions and Mirage mean a lot to me.
Visions is the set that introduced Sisay and the Weatherlight. Mirage already introduced Teferi. This block certainly introduced a large number of memorable characters.
back in the day i would man-o-war my ornguntan back into my hand all the time. and fireblast is one of the best red cards ever printed, easily a game ender all the time you would rarely ever hard cast it. played four of them so it was easy to slam your op with a ball lightning + lightning bolt for 9 on turn four and usually finish the game with two fireblasts when your tapped out since jackal pup and mogg fanatic. god have mercy if its ever reprinted into standard or modern it will get the banhammer i guarantee it.
I started playing the game in 2013 and somehow managed to obtain a copy of Freewind Falcon as well as Halam Djinn. I never throught these cards were particularly great, so to hear Freewind Falcon get a spot on the list warms my heart
Quirion Ranger also lets you get 2 mana out of 1 land. You tap your land for mana, return it to hand, then play your land/a land. You’d rather draw a land and play it, you’d prefer to get 2 mana that way. Someone actually beat me in a tournament with Quirion ranger. I pulled out forest-walk creature out of my sideboard. He used ranger to return all his forests to his hand, removing my creatures forest walk. I didn’t see it coming and attack right into it.
3:43 I played back then, and I have vivid memories of Uktabi Orangutan being played a lot! But what I remember most was the card’s nickname…. It was called “S3x monkey” because…. Because…. I mean…. Just look at it! No! No! Not the foreground…. But…. Um…. Anyway!… A fun video Idea I would love to see is top 10 card nicknames, like Walletslayer Angel, Jace the Wallet Sculptor, Bob (Dark Confidant) and of course my friend the monkey, if it meets content standards!
This set really drove home the difference (back then) between the 'good' players and 'casual'. Casual players loved creatures, always have, and back then creatures sucked. But Relentless Assault... It was a $20 bill during that window between release and tournament legality. Vamp Tutor... $10 maybe? But then the decklists started to appear, and Assault slowly drifted into 'meh'... Back then creatures were secondary. Even stompee was all about Winter Orb and 16 lands when everyone else was running 24.
Hehe, no mention of prison decks, stasis decks, and winter orb decks or even Armageddon and undiscovered paradise? It’s not Great in all those 4 decks, the drawback is still kinda there, but it’s been used in those kinds of prison decks. Not sure if anyone has sideboarded it or played it as Defende against prison.
I myself have been having some visions thanks to this new glass orb I got. I see "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)" somewhere in the future. Make it so!

You didn't mention that impulse got an errata when it was reprinted....you now don't have to shuffle your library, which makes impulse a lot stronger...😊😊
It's true that it got an erratum, but not shuffling isn't actually inherently more powerful. It depends on what you're doing, really. Sometimes shuffling is better.
Shocked that they ever printed a free burn spell at common. It's hard to imagine them printing any free spells at a low rarity these days unless it doesn't do anything of value at all.

1. Hypnotic 2. Nightveil 3-10. Doesn't matter, only those two saw any play. I suppose Hostage Taker was kind of a specter in spirit, even if it didn't have the creature type.

wasn't there another card that showed the same monkey pregnant?
6:52 Fireblast is a card that I would love to see reprinted into modern and/or pioneer
Top 10 cascaders would be a cool video, you probs have already made one but with rhinos the list has probably changed up
I made my first commander deck to play all the cascade cards (5color)
I love to see that River Boa is still played. Awesome

Totally agree with you. These blasts-from-the-past videos are great.

I have opened a pack in that time and I have picked one, too
Greetings from México

Possibly the only non Legendary card to have a *sequel.*
Tenth District Guard is another one, with her later being seen on Tenth District Veteran, and on Tenth District Legionnaire
@RelicSeeker she's also the subject of Battlefield Promotion
@@RelicSeeker Another one I can think of is Scute Swarm, which is a direct sequel to Scute Mob.
Well, this was another Top 10 where the number one card was extremely obvious.
One of my fave sets for sure

Uktabi Urangutan may destroy an artifact introducing that kind of EtB effect to the game, but what about those two other monkeys in the background?
When I was kid, that particular monkey had a nickname, everyone called it S3x Monkey!
Per Uktabi Kong, they make Monkey tokens.
Find the answer on...
Uktabi Kong!
I'm having Visions of a Top 10 Best Cards with Rampage 4.
Well, you would have to have to wait for 10 cards to exist that have rampage 4
@@littlemrdoom5997You're right. Nizzahon probably would just make a Top 10 Worst Cards with Rampage list instead.

I forgot, how important is the creature type of Quirion Ranger?
as an elf
Why, what is it?

Wasn't Natural Order used to grab Progenitus?
I look forward to the top 10 video of “the top 10 nizzahon videos”

Shouldn't Quirion Ranger have points in Pauper as well?
Was about to ask, she's a fantastic Green card in Pauper
100%, the card has been a green staple for years in the format
Love Visions... everything from Mirage block is my jam!
Rainbow Efreet was my favourite creature in the set.
Land Tax is Legends not Alpha.

Quirion Ranger with no points from pauper? Weird
I really like this series. It is wrong to ask if you could follow chronologically from here on? Tempest block is my fav 😻
Tempest block is mega nostalgia for me, but Saga block is still my favorite!
Oh great list. Where did summer bloom end up? I am just curious to how many points it accumulated
5:54 "Vintge"
I think this was my favorite set from when I first played a lot (1994-1999).
Interesting how much pauper affected this list
Shouldn't Impulse have points in Pioneer ? It's consistently played in Hidden Strings combo.
Fireblast had won me a lot of games.

1. Hypnotic 2. Nightveil 3-10. Doesn't matter, only those two saw any play. I suppose Hostage Taker was kind of a specter in spirit, even if it didn't have the creature type.
I've looked into that one several times as a potentially "Spooky" one in October, but so far there aren't enough specters with points.
