    Hi Tori! I just wanted to let you know that your video helped me SO much. I used to dye my hair pure henna red when I was younger, then I used chemical dyes for almost ten years before wanting to try natural dye for black. Because of my experience with pure henna I assumed it would be just as easy, and kept buying the henna/indigo mixes with really disappointing results. I then found your video and saw that I have almost identical hair type to your sister's (I have typical Scandinavian fine hair), although mine is slightly lighter than hers still - but other than that it ticked all the boxes (damaged from chemical treatments, black as a goal, etc). And I am so happy it yielded results. It might be slightly lighter than my chemically died black on the ends, but this obviously looks so much better and healthier. I was worried I had no choice but to go back to chemical dye before I found your video, so thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

    Hi there, I was just wondering if you ever deal with henna buildup, or if you avoid that because you focus on root touch ups instead of the whole head each time you do it? Also just wondering if you know how to deal with your hair if it reaches that point where the henna no longer feels smooth and shiny but more like a residue?

    Hey Tori! I watched this and the one you did with your Mum as well. I have about 35% greys and have found that just using regular LM henna (I've tried dark brown, auburn, red, burgundy last weekend) on my natural dark brown curls, and the greys are beautifully covered and look a bit lighter, giving me a look of natural highlights. Have you seen anyone do this?

I left the henna on for 3 hours like the instructions said and then the color on for three hours. my roots were still so red which I don't like at all. so I mixed up some more indigo and let it set for 2 hours . still has the red hue ... how do you get it to come out so dark? its beautiful. please help

    Hey Tori, after watching your videos , I decided to switch from box and salon dye to henna. My natural colour is dark brown. I have had different shades of brown , mahogany which means I have a lot of build up and it looks very black (but kind of unnatural black not raven black). Also my roots have about 30%grey and currently is kind of burgundy. My last box dye wasn't very even, so now I have about 2cm of visible burgundy roots (greys are covered) and the rest is this heavy black. My hair is curly , shoulder length, thick, and possibly high porosity. So the question. I would like to have a whole length of the hair the same even shade of dark brown/chocolate. How do I achieve it? Do I need to strip existing colour first with something like 'Colourless Colour Remover" or Effasoll? Or go with the henna straight ahead? I assume I would need to do 2 step "colour the gray". What colour though? Dark brown? Medium brown? Chestnut?I am clueless, so would appreciate a bit of advise...Thanks

    Hi Tony,
    I watched your video recently. I ordered 2step black light mountain brand color as well.
    My question is how much quantity should be for henna in first step and how much quantity for indigo for second step.
    Also want to know how much maximum time I should keep applied for heena and indigo respectively.
    I am a boy and have medium hair.
    I have 70% grey hair.
    I want to get black color on my hair.
    Thanks in advance.

    I use light mountain henna in black.. The one with the bird on it & I don't have to do the 2 step process because the henna and indigo are mixed together. I naturally have dark blonde hair and mine comes back black everytime I dye it. Now been 4 yrs I mix mine with coffee and coconut oil. Mine sticks very well it's very permanent just have to touch my roots up.

      Hi guys! So with the coffee I just make a regular pot of coffee. I poor it in until it's mixed good nice and smooth. The coconut oil I just use 1 tsp. Lately I've put a dash of salt in too.. They say it helps it stick better. But thats just how I do mine. You could also use a tsp of apple cider vinager. 😊

      For me I would go over those areas again and leave on the first step longer (and the second step just as long). The initial henna step is what helps those stubborn hairs to absorb the color. I am going to be doing a henna for gray (using my mom as a model) so watch out for that for more details on covering gray hair.

      In our experience the main need to recolor is for the roots growing out! It has almost no fading and will keep with rich color until you need to cover your roots! You can color however often you want because there is no damage to your hair or body.

    • @torinoelle7215
      @torinoelle7215  6 років тому +1

      If you're using indigo as a second step then it doesn't need 3 hours to prepare. It only has to sit for about 30 minutes or so in order to develop and draw out the color from the leaves. If you use Light Mountain's two step process, they give you a guide for curing times depending on which colors you've chosen. Basically - Reds process longer, Black and Browns can process shorter. Hope this helps!

    Dear, I ´ve been using henna and then indigo, like you showed on the video, and I LOVE the colour, and the way my hair looks... it´s ok... but, when I wash off the indigo it does NOT wash off completely! It sticks to my hair and scalp!!!
    I have to wait 2 days so I can finally use no sulfate shampoo (I´m low poo) and then I can wash it off completely.
    It´s so bad... how do you do to get free from the excess of indigo after applying it?????

    • @torinoelle7215
      @torinoelle7215  6 років тому +1

      Hey Margarete! The indigo can linger because through this process the hair is being coated with the henna mixture. I always do a thorough wash a few days after, but honestly (even when using 100% henna) the only way to get rid of the residue is after a few good washes. So depending on how often or seldom you shampoo this can vary. If you want to rid your hair of the residue then you may choose to wash more frequently after using henna. I usually only wash about 1-2 times per week, so after I henna it can be a few weeks before all the residue is gone. It's just part of this process! It doesn't bother me as much now because I have seen the results of healthy strong hair and skin. I hope this helps!

    wonderful . just one question before the 2nd step . your sister's hair is dry or wet?
    thank you

      Great question! It was wet when we applied the second step (indigo). This was the step that she wanted to leave on for multiple hours so leaving the hair wet before application kept the product from drying out prematurely. Thanks for asking!

    Hello 😊 I have one step black henna by Light mountain natural, is that good ? Or I have to privilege the 2 step method?

    • @sheilamcnabb6499

      The 2 step method is for people that have more than 10 % white, gray or blond hair.

    Do you only leave the henna on for 30 min before the Indigo?

    • @torinoelle7215
      @torinoelle7215  6 років тому +1

      Or maybe an hour. I recently color my mom's hair with the two step process for her grey and we left the henna for 1 hour, and the indigo for 1 hour.

      You will need to use a mixture that has henna in it because henna gives the staining effect. You can find different blends that use more or less henna to indigo.

    can you skip the first step and just use the black henna?

    • @visitpyongyang3959
      @visitpyongyang3959 4 роки тому

      If you have brown or red hair it should work fine but if you have really light or medium blonde hair it will turn it green or blue but if you have blonde hair and use regular red henna it will act as a filler to provide pigments in your hair, than you can use the black color.

      They recommend blondes henna their hair red first, before doing the dark indigo. So the 2 step process she's using should be just what you're looking for.

    Is this 100% henna? I know some henna colors aren’t pure and actually have chemicals like ppd and other stuff. Asking because I am very allergic to chemical dyes!!

      All colors from Light Mountain Natural have only henna, indigo, and/or senna leaves as the ingredients! No added chemical or harmful ingredients. The one I use on my own hair is 100% henna only because I do red, but in this video the blend we use is henna and indigo. Only two ingredients! Hope this helps :)

    God loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to save us from sin! Remember that the Lord loves you! Confess Jesus is Lord! Confess your sins to God, forgive others, repent and be saved: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
